Magical Sempai
| I think they are the most disgusting thing that can destroy any decent character design. The girl in this show looks ok enough but why did they need to ruin it with that a gross flesh tooth on her face? It is not a tooth it is the skin on her lip. I get that it is meant to make her look mischievous, but it looks like some kind of deformity or a tumor. Does anyone find this cute or would people prefer actual teeth rather than skin teeth? |

| I don't know who the fuck this show is aimed at but the character designs are definitely not to my taste. Very odd. Something off putting about them and maybe you've pinned down one of the issues here. |

This show's is a flesh tooth though. Shout out to all the real folks out there whose teeth are actually darker than their skin. (I do photography at a retirement community; I made a Lightroom brush preset for that.) That a good answer? :D When I briefly studied Russian I learned to spell sushi "суси" (susi), but now I read that the national standard has changed to "суши" (sushi). I wonder whether that resulted in angry Russians. Yeah, it probably did. :) |

Sempai with an M makes it feel like an early 00s, yellow font, hardsubbed, [Keikaku means plan.], era thing. I am not against the flesh fang but I also prefer when they do a proper white one lol. Also yeah, writing senpai with an M was really a characteristics of those fan subs back in the day. I never saw it written like that in Japanese even though technically they could get away with a "mu" instead of an "n". The offical title writes it in kanji only. It's more of a spoken thing. Crunchy really took some liberties there. |

| I've always known "flesh teeth" to be called lip fangs. I don't mind them at all, in fact they can look pretty cute in my opinion, but real fangs are way more appealing. Not too sure why they do fangs on the lip anyway. |

I pretty much agree with your point of view. Every time it depends on a character in general. If he/she has interesting personality then the negative effect can be neutralized a bit. In example I don't care about Tejina-senpai's flesh tooth because of how cool and funny character she is. Yet I think it'd be better to draw her gang differently (if it's really a fang, lol), although I got used to her flesh tooth. In general though I find flesh tooth as disgusting. It reminds me of a serious tumor changing from the lip. There are a lot of better methods to show a bucktooth or yaeba, like actually showing a fang coming out of mouth, a real tooth, not a tumor. |
