And people argue that the initial premise of this story wasn't completely contrived. This episode wasn't terrible, but ultimately the show is still riding on the justice porn. Look, new scumbag villain (who was not introduced in previous episodes even though he has history with a main character) to bring down after a sufficiently tear-jerking backstory. Suddenly Raphtalia is being affected by her past even though all traces of trauma were erased overnight between two episodes. I'm glad someone else pointed this out. This was so annoying. It's getting really boring at this point. I honestly really liked the show for the first 5 or so episodes but it somehow keeps getting worse and there's no sign it will get any better. Also: at least Disney villains had charisma. These cartoonishly-evil "characters" (if you can even call them that), do not. |

| I was quite surprised that the girl died, while the boy lived. Usually, they kill off the male friends just to show there are other men in the story besides the protagonist. Still, doesn't look like he'll be alive for much longer. How long ago did the flashback take place? (My grammar seems bad.) I couldn't tell and ended up getting confused. Raphtalia's growing process is quite weird. I knew the fat nobleman would be killed by the beast, but it was still funny. |

| That Malty is ruthless. Deciding to burn whole forest and set whole mountain on fire only to fulfill her sick ambitions. I hope she will pay for this in the upcomming episodes. Filo was awesome as always! Her charge in bird form is outstanding. :D Poor Raphtalia. It seems she suffered a lot when she was a child. I'm not surprised she suffers from PTSD until now. :( |

| I know the point is to avoid being seen as murderers but seeing Raphtalia defeating those guards by hitting them in the armors with her sword was just absurd. At least, she would have cut off that noble's arm since I honestly would have appreciated the symbolism of him losing the arm he uses to whip slaves. Anyways, as whole, this was an OK episode. The change of focus from Melty to Raphtalia felt a bit sudden if I'm honest but it's not a big deal since I was interested in knowing about her past for a while ago. I wonder how the next episode will handle it. |

| It seems like Malty is obsessed with Naofumi. She does everything to make him trouble, it's crazy. Fuck her. I really hope at some point she gets what she deserves. Reichnott seems like a good guy. It's always like that, even among the nobles are normal people. But the total opposite got shown in form of Idol. Just when I heard his voice and saw Raphtalias reaction I knew he's on of the worst kind of people. A little bit of Rapthalias past got shown and it seems Idol is also involved in this. It must have been absolute hell for these little child demis. Idol also had this cross. Was he really about to hurt Melty? Good thing Naofumi, Raphtalia and Filo came to rescue her. I know Idol deserves it to die but I hope Raphtalia won't do it. |

| Bro this series is just crumbling down every episode, the first 2 were fire imo but it's just slowly evolving into a bullshit adventure harem. There's too much cheeriness for the setting they're portraying. Does every isekai protag need dozens of girls around him at all times? Can we get a frickin male member and not this melty hoe? |

| ok i fully respect Reichnott, was extremely sceptical about him at first, but he has single handily shown me there are still humane and decent nobles in this world, cus holy fuck the more and more i see of this world, the more and more apparent that the majority of the nobles are sick inhuman shits. Melty's plan was, reasonable i guess, super risky cus she legit almost cornered herself in a world were people are invested in lolis. Naofumi's raid on the castal felt quite quick but clean, and successfully rescued Melty. Interested to see what will kick off after this though. Has it also become known that there almost seems to be an entire "anit shield hero cult" in this world? The way Idol described it, was as if it was one with the whole "devil shield hero" and what not. Could be wrong but still, thats suspicious af and, pretty intense they would create an entire cult around cult to single out a single hero thats suppose to be saving them. I hope Raphtalia offs this sick bastard, from what i see loosing him in this world would be like throwing another pile of trash into the dumpster on your Thursday afternoon. I see very little positive impact this Idol guy has on this world, and i'm very very sure the other Hero's could at least understand why he needed to perish after seeing his freak demi-human torture kink. Seems we are finally get to see much more of Raphtalia's back ground. Was always interested how things led from one thing to another in her past, i definitely get the feeling it's gonna be traumatising to major extents, but time to find out. |
| It looks like these second cour explore more about the world's past. These episode, its Raph's past, the day when she sadly became a slave. Gladly, not every second times, our one and only savior, shield hero, always facing an unfortunate. That eyeglasses nobleman ironically was too nice in the middle of a crazy cult organization peoples, such as those fat cunt called himself a noble. Oh well, he got that treatment after what he did by protecting the fugitive hero and his band. Poor him! I hope Raph just kill those trash. But, damn, these show only pointed out a half cruelty over some arse-aspects. So, i expect something mild and hilarious should be happened on him in the end. Lets see the truth. Ah, and i don't wanna talk about Melty, she just suited fine with her new role. Her late tsundere and happiness when siding with shield hero showed some bad impression toward me with those kind of route. So, better to let it flow right there, before i am completely losing my mind with those obviousness. Lol. |

| Raphtalia's trauma basically resurges again with seeing the former noble that caused her to suffer as well as fellow demi-humans in the first place. The episode wasn't the worst in the series but still, the writing feels still too forced and fast. |
| Even after all this time, Raphtalia still has nightmares like the one she had when she was younger. Also, luckily they managed to save Melty without any major problems. |

| Man that close up shot of the bitch in starting was hard to watch, had to close my eyes. It's amazing how the writer is able to make us despise a character so much, I don't think I've hated any anime character this much before. The OP is kind of growing on me, I'm starting to like it but it will never be as good as the OP1. Melty knows a noble and he lets them stay at his mansion but the mansion is attacked by a pig and his soldiers and Melty is taken away to the pig's mansion. Naofumi wants to save Melty so they start going to the pig's mansion. It turns out Raphtalia has a tragic past associated with that mansion and the pig. Next episode is probably Raphtalia's full backstory. This episode was pretty enjoyable overall. The nobel that helped Naofumi and co. seems like a good person, I like him. 5/5 episode. |
