To all the people who give 5 or 4 to this episode (or even 3), I want to ask: have you even ever watched a Digimon episode? Because I find it impossible to think that you liked this nonsense if you have watched the Aventure series and the only two other good instalments in the Digimon franchise (Tamers and Savers). The only good thing in this "Digimon Tri" is possibly the renovated art design but even going as far as calling it good then animation is completely retarded. What I'm most mad about is that this whole finale is completely rushed. You're not even able to feel the depth at 100%. In short, this whole Tri experience was a huge disappointment. I'm better off if they declared they are done with brutalising Adventure forever, meaning they won't ever try making another sequel and they'll move this dismay to non-canon. P.S. I bet the real Tailmon is baffled at why her non-canon counterpart didn't become Ophanimon. |

Movie was sh!t, but Toei, how can you give me Taito moments in the previous ones and then make Tai not to hold Matt's hand in this one? Like, everybody knows they are in love since Adventure. I really didn't care about Meicoomon's death. She and her partner should have never existed. |

Not enough giant boobs and ass shots to cover the numerous weird developments and lack of answers, and all those hysterical laughs and faces by mad Gennai. Te lack of an actual resolution doesn't help either. 4.5/10 Plus one useless new Omegamon "god" form. Enjoyment: 2/5 April 28, 2020 Glenfinnan said: lack of direction Yes. January 16, 2020 @Hound-of-Mal - I believe Yamato (maybe someone else) asked about the 02 heroes before this was swept under the carpet. - Taichi's wife?? We only know he ended up having a tiny Taichi as a kid. And Mei is only getting a few seconds in the following film. And no, they "can't give him Sora", this has already been decided long ago. - Of course, Meiko is an uninteresting "meh" character, like most of the "movie girls" used to inject a new intrigue into an existing series to create a film are. What makes her worse than the usual characters of her kind is that several Tri chapters try to make her appear as an actual character and lose time doing so. - Don't worry, neither Himekawa nor Gennai get a saying in the next film (that ends up as useless as this one anyway). - I agree with you about the poor animation (as well as your other points) but this should not have been sold to us as "movies" when they were actually simple OAVs with a special theatrical screening for their release day. - Yes, Adventure Tri is finally over. But no, they're far from being "finally done with this beloved" series : you forgot about Digimon Adventure ~ Last Evolution : Kizuna. November 17, 2024 @nando3d1 No, the "evil Gennai" is a thing that suddenly appeared in Tri with no explanation, was somewhat used to set convenient obstacles and mysteries and then disappeared and never brought up again with the mysterious sequel calling last scene of the character in Tri. |

with this film, the 6th closed the kids' adventure but the end was open for other malefics plans!!! This film has action, a lot of action in the real world, emotion with the Taichi reappearance in the middle of the battle, tension with the death of Meicomoon, impossible to save her, and tears with the last Taichi/Agumon words by telephone at Mei "we alwasy will be friends"and how started to play the Theme Song!!!! Nice to me!!! |

they take too much in animating the digimon, they should have skipped to ultimate evolved, I grow tired of watching every digimon evolved one by one, step by step. also there's no conclusion, are they planning to continue the terror? the digidestined only stopped what's happening, not stopping the entire cause. I feel like wasted my time watching all six series. |

Can we also point out how sloppy and awful Matt's decision to become an astronaut was? Like seriously? It had to be a throwaway line because Daigo said to "build the future" and Matt, after hearing Tai was going overseas for prep school (because he's going to be an ambassador to the Digital World as an adult--remember?), was like "I guess I'll go to space"? What the fuck? |

It was better than 4 and 5 but it still was bad. 4/10. I rewatched parts of the first two seasons and it's not nostalgia that blinded me, it had real heart behind it. This was soulless and reminds me of why I hate Toei these days. Outside of Precure I've disliked every adaptation they have done of older properties. |

well they ended it well, but because the plot went in like 50 different directions they wrapped up basically none of the loose ends that we're all still hanging on. i stopped after the 4th movie for a while but at least i finally know how it all ends. |

Kinda feels like the whole reason for this movies was to introduce us to Tai's future wife. But I like that :) It didn't matter to me how bad it got sometimes, because there were awsome moments, emotional and exciting moments. At the end, anything Digimon to me is wonderful. Wish they would do someting similar with Tamers. |

this is why pokemon>digimon It keeps making seasons and games while digimon fails to produce something once every 5-10 years. the movie was a horrible idea. it should have become an anime. idk whats with all these companies want to do movies instead of full fledged anime seasons. |

the error in binary code which exist in MEICON-mon is actual a property of quantum. qubic. which cause the binary computer to malfunction. quantum physics states that bit high and low, 1 and 0 can exist at the same time until it is measured. here is the explaination: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhHMJCUmq28 |

This was a bit unsatisfying, there were a lot of questions unanswered. 1.What happened to Himekawa? did she like die? Come to her senses? 2.I know the 02 kids, are back in the real world, but WHERE ARE THEY? we didnt even get to see them in the chyrotubes. we say what "emperer Ken" looks like in the new art style but I wanna see what they all look like now 3.What was with that cell phone ringing after the end credits? 4.Will this be answered in the 20th anniversary movie, if not when!?! 5. They said no sacrifices, so IS MEKUMON ALIVE , REBORN OR WHAT!?! |

So I waited 4 years to watch this and got disappointed. Some people don't like Tamers, other don't like Savers and some other series. I like all the Digimon series with Xros scored at the bottom. This is the first time I don't like Digimon anime. Others have stated the reason why but I'm most annoyed by the transformation scenes. Most of the time was wasted on the long transformation scenes. I was like "Hey the music is almost done, hurry the transformation and fight!", but after that more Digimon came and the same music restarted again. Brave Heart was wasted only for the transformation scenes. The one thing I'm surprised is how AiM's voice can stay the same after all these years while Kouji Wada got a little change in his voice. nidoqueen106 said: This was a bit unsatisfying, there were a lot of questions unanswered. 1.What happened to Himekawa? did she like die? Most likely carried them one by one, that's why he was late to the party. The animation team most likely don't have/prepare character design for the 02 characters so they stayed black lol 3. It's digivice sound, which tell the viewer the story will continue 4. Let's keep finger crossed and let's hope they bring back the old director 5. Taichi changed his mind after 6 movies and 3 years, and sacrifce by his teacher. Meikomon was most likely dead That made me realize of how lazy they made the characters name.. Meiko-Meikomon. We don't even get the names of the Meikomon's other forms.. Izumi do your job! |

I could really go with marathon of these movies, because now I wasn't really up to watch it and after watching final one, I have a lot of questions. But man, even with all flaws, I can't really hate digimon, first adventure is my childhood and one of best memories I have, even cheap low budget animation with all digivolutions has it's charm for me. It's Digimon as I remember. And being 15 years older, it certainly get darker, but way I can handle it. |

phew finally done with this movie-series, and it was quite fun ride because of the nostalgia. the story itself was a disappointment tbh, a lot of questions were unanswered the only one make me enjoyed this last movie is that 2 minutes of Omegamon Merciful Mode, he looks cool! i love omegamon since his first appearance and my most favorite digimon of all-time i wish that gatomon's final form was Ophanimon, but we got Magnadramon instead after Ophanimon Falldown Mode appeared :( and i was hoping that in this final movie we got some ship sailed, like Kojiro-Mimi and Taichi-Mei lol too bad that didnt happen well, looking forward to 02 kids sequel |

Can't say I hated everything about these movies, but this one was my least favorite of the bunch and made the whole series unsatisfying overall. Taichi actually remembered Daisuke and the rest, good. But six long movies and we seriously only get to see them in shadows? Ugh. And of course the Kaiser imposter keeps posing as Ken's former alias. Was it ever explained why? "Daisuke-kun's group"... Um, you were part of that group Takeru. Don't reboot the real world, oh no. Everything seemed too silly and dragged on too long. The characters often didn't seem like themselves to me often throughout the movies. Could have been the new designs, could have been the new seiyuu, but I think a lot was the writing. It wasn't 100% of the time, but there were many moments where I felt disconnected, like these aren't the characters I remember. I also didn't connect with Mei like I did with the original dozen. Lots of inconsistencies from the original series, the most glaring of which is not everyone in the world having a digimon like at the end of 02. I'll just go ahead and say this isn't part of the main canon. I wish they'd just gone full alternate sequel if they hated 02 so much. Or full AU, period, like the upcoming reboot which starts in a week. Hope it's better... Knock on wood. |

I don't want to write an essay, but I'll probably end up doing it anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There are two major issues with Tri, imo: 1) Tri wants to be 02 2) the (too many) OCs 1) I said it before and after weeks of thinking about it, nothing has changed. I do believe Tri wanted to be THE sequel to Adventure, not one to 02. A lot of the direction they took (even down to the OCs) acts as if 02 didn't exist or picking and choosing only the good bits. There's a slight disdain for 02 that oozes in some scenes; I wouldn't mind, but the way it's handled is atrocious. You don't continuously bring up there's a season before this; not only does it lead the viewers on that things might get explained, it becomes more of "you keep poking me and it's annoying". (Tri is like that one person who can't let go of a grudge.) It's almost too much of a coincidence Tri introduces almost the same amount of OCs that 02 does (one short because who cares about Iori). Heck, even Maki is basically Ken only without a redemption arc (and less sibling death) - Dark Ocean, death of her digimon making her go insane and all. Meiko, Maki, and Nishijima are very obviously replacements for Iori/Miyako, Ken, and Daisuke - all of them just being CC (and two being the OG ones no less) works against the narrative too much for anything else. (Meiko reminds me of Wallace, tbh. Wouldn't be surprised if her arc was directly lifted from him. The OCs aren't all that unique.) (Maki and Nishijima also being ripped off of Hypnos from Tamers.) The way the story is written is another clue. A LOT of the characters' arc and drama make more sense if 02 didn't happen. Why were the kids unconcerned with the Gate being closed despite the whole point of 02 was that the D-3s gave that ability back? You'd think there be something in Tri that sets up this setting but all we get is "your d-3 still doesn't work?" "nope." "odd, but okay." between Koushiro and Takeru. It's such a weird thing to NOT set up when it was fundamental to this entire story happening in the first place. Or Jyou's drama: there's the idea he thought the digimon were behind him, that he's an adult and no longer necessary (some say because there's CC all over which works because that idea IS the bridge between the prequel and sequel), he's scared, etc but 02 showed that he knew his priorities; that he knew he wanted to be a Digimon Doctor and would choose Gomamon over his exams; that he's still has a use being the senior. Tri ignores most (if not all) of that and goes in the direction as if that hadn't been established. If it wasn't for 02, his drama arc would make total sense. Being separated from his digimon and the Digital World so long... it'd make sense he'd think it was all over. With 02, this idea doesn't because it showed the closing of the Gate isn't forever and they can be called upon at any time. Hikari is another example with her "oniichan, baka" stunt - she's a bit too dependent in Tri and interesting that's one of the episodes in 02 that established she was was from her POV... Takeru, Taichi + his and Yamato's relationship, the shipping stuff (and probably more I'm forgetting) all require 02 to... just stop existing. Only Koushiro, Sora and Mimi had an arc that made sense within 02's framework. (Yamato's arc is tied in with Taichi's.) Even the digimon don't think about their 02 friends. If one were to take out ALL references to 02 and do a bit rewriting for opening the Gate... would anything really change? 2) There's too many unnecessary OCs. The reason 02 kinda got away with it is because they had to shift the focus away TO the younger kids and leave the rest as "mentors". Tri wants its cake and to eat it too. It wants its OCs to tell its (not that good) story because apparently the story "can't work with Meiko and Meicoomon" (which is total bullshit), it wants its OCs to tip its toe into the OG CC story because why not ruin everything? It wants to do EVERYTHING as if it had time all of this. Only to end up failing on most of it. What is it with Digimon and its directors not knowing to pace a freaking anime? It's ALWAYS an issue. You can't have 4 new OCs running around, dealing with an already large case of 8-16 half of which is teenage drama, have long slice of life segments, the underlying mystery, the overarching plot, 3 fractions trying to fight each other, the OG CC story, the Meis codependency story, an epic final and expect it to NOT be a mess. And for it to tie all the loose ends together. There's too much bloat in Tri and like everything that's bloated, it crashes and burns by the end. There was no chance of this being good; not when Adventure couldn't accomplish what IT wanted in 54 freaking episodes. When the best part of your 6 movies are the slice of life moments, you know you're in trouble. Tri should have just been a slice of life movie. I could go in and complain about all the nitty gritty and the plot and whatnot, but it sucked. It's just another example of Digimon taking good ideas and huge potential and showing how much they suck at executing them. Also, Dark Gennai is still the best character; he still did nothing wrong. EDIT (8/9/20): Since I couldn't leave well enough alone, I did an extra dive into tri.'s bloat and development issues, movie by movie. bryansao said: Movie was sh!t, but Toei, how can you give me Taito moments in the previous ones and then make Tai not to hold Matt's hand in this one? Like, everybody knows they are in love since Adventure. My exact thoughts. When I saw that scene I was all "Oh boy, oh boy"; when it turned into a bump, I was so pissed. All that build-up and Tri is too cowardly to do the exact thing they were building up too. All because it "didn't look right" when it got drawn out. Oh please. |

I really liked most of the BGM in this part, even when some screams and cries were muted, I think it was stylistically good as well. Yamato's character development also looks smooth to me, but in comparison to Hikari, I think her part was a bit too convoluted. A really good drama, at least on this last movie. But as an overall series, I wouldn't say it was that good but I'm giving credits where credit is due. |

Disaster....what a waste of time....this series shouldn't be exist, i don't even care about Meiko and Meicomoon, very unnecessary OC, this movie can still be good even without them. The characters are kinda OOC as well...? the only things i enjoy here are Mimi (both her design & character) and the evolution sequence, that's it. 4/10 |

Sora tells Yamato to save Taichi. Sora cries for Taichi. Koromon. Hackmon. Ordinemon. They're back in the real world. Hikari got a fever. Yamato and Gabumon. lol at them watching. The distortion. Yamato puts on the goggles. Ordinemon. Dat body. Dat ass! Gennai. Taichi's tousan. Dat ass. Dat theme. Group shinka! Group Chou-shinka! Ike! Hackmon. Dat ass. Dat Group Ultimate shinka! Dat group attack. They degenerated. Hackmon. A reboot of the real world? 94,524 seconds? Sora wonders what Taichi would say. Koushiro is against it. Taichi is alive! Nishijima! Oh shit! Gennai. Nishijima's sacrifice. Hikari wakes up. lol at Patamon. Dat ass. Dem missiles. Dat theme. Group shinka! Chou-shinka! WereGarurumon. Takeru and Hikari get attacked. Dat theme within the theme. Angemon. Chou-shinka! Holy Angemon! Gennai. WTF! Devimon! Holy Angemon getting beat. Wizarmon? Tailmon and Meichan. Dat timer. Holy shit! Dat blast! Hackmon. Their data was saved? Oh shit! Its the kids from Bokura no War Game. All Digimon memory data is inside Meichan. Dem passwords. Dat password. Dandan. Agumon's memory. The Koromon from the movie? They shinka'd. Tailmon. Dat ass. Jesmon. Tailmon. Yggdrasil. Agumon tries to save Meiko. Taichi saved them! DAT BUTTER-FLY!!!!!!!!!!!! Yamato gives back the goggles. Taichi put the goggles on his head! Shit got just real!!!!! Iku zo! Dat theme! WarGreymon! Omegamon! Hikari will probably never forgive Taichi. Hikari will fight with them? Dat Butter-Fly! Dat theme! Dat Ultimate shinka! Holydramon! Dat light. Its going to Omegamon. Holy shit! Dat form! Dat ass. Taichi's hand hits Yamato's hand. Holy shit! Dat ass! Dat strike. Meichan. Dandan. Gennai. Daemon? Diablomon? 3 months have passed. Meiko went back to Tottori. Homeostasis forced a shutdown on Yggdrasil. Koushiro is inventing a gate. 12/24/2005. Taichi's doing prep school. Yamato will aim for space. Sora cut her hair. Taichi called Meiko. lol at Agumon. They'll all be friends forever. DAT BUTTER-FLY!!!!!!!!! Dat ending! And that was the end. What in the Endless Waltz - Unicorn did I just witness? Omegamon looking like a combination of Wing Zero EW version and Unicorn. But enough about that.... Ordinemon. Dat oppai. DAT ASS! DAT BOOTY ON POINT! I took so much screenshots because that is an ass that must be saved. Preserved in memory. Stella from Versus XIII - Must not forgotten. That is the effect the booty had on me. LAWD JESUS! Bless the staff for that. During Agumon's memory scene, it showed Koromon with young Taichi and Hikari from the 1st movie. Why would Agumon have that memory when that wasn't him? Also, Agumon's memory showed a silhouette of Taichi and Yukidarumon. They showed the kids from Bokura no War Game. It really is great starting tri right after that movie. They did good on the references, especially showing Koushiro's addiction to oolong tea. Gennai said Daemon and Diablomon. I wonder whats next? WTF happened to Alphamon? Himekawa really died in that water. Lastly, Dat Butter-Fly ED song! There's Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets then there's Koji Wada & The Edabreshi Kodomo-tachi (Plus Ayumi & AiM). What a beautiful song. It's only fitting that everyone would sing together for Butter-Fly! They did good on that for Koji Wada. With that said... The adventure continues. |

Steaming pile of garbage. We're already at the finale and Meiko's still apologizing (ToT) Get a grip girl. Taichi's alive. What a surprise and miraculously hasn't suffered any single wound at all while Daigo looks like he's on the brink of death. Oh wait he actually died RIP. So the 02 kids were kidnapped because they somehow found out about Yggdrasil's plan. How awfully convenient. And the fact that nobody ever questioned where they were in the past five movies and we didn't even get to see their faces at all, just their silhouettes lmfao. Might as well retcon 02 at this point if they're gonna be this fucking lazy. Oh boy making Gennai act like some deranged psycho sure made him look more evil. Getting real sick and tired of him appearing everywhere laughing hysterically like a typical antagonist. Ended up being a bland horrible villain. Not very surprising though. The whole movie series was basically just to introduce Taichi's future shitty ass wife who nobody really gives a fuck about. If these dumbass writers really can't give him Sora then just give us that Taichi/Yamato BL route ffs! Where the fuck is Himekawa? Are they setting this up for another sequel or something? Because we don't want it. Let this die already or reboot this shit. The only good thing about these movies are the actual Digimons themselves. They were very cute at least and I had a lot of fun watching their interactions. Horrible plot. Atrocious characters. Garbage pacing. Terrible animation for a goddamn movie series. What else could this be other than a disaster. It's finally over. They're finally done butchering this beloved franchise. Good riddance. Hope we never see any of this again. 1/10 I don't feel like being generous today because I absolutely detest what they did to Digimon Adventure. They deserve the lowest possible score they can get for this abomination of a shameless nostalgia-baiting cashgrab. Fuck everyone involved with the production of this trash except the animators and singers of course! |

The sixth film of the franchise really got me while this draws the conclusion to the Meicoomon film arc. Loved the setting and the monster fights against the virus type antagonist which is too powerful to defeat. It was good to see the characters back together after almost losing on of the main characters. |

The final fight against Ordinemon was decent, reminded me of the freakish final boss that Tamers had And that's the only good thing I could say about Tri. Combining the group seems to forget about the 02 kids + Gennai is now evil for no apparent reason + wtf is this bullshit with Homeostasis/Yggdrasil cult, Tri really felt like a bad fanfic |

The biggest question remains unanswered: Does Joe have a girlfriend? I really wanted to love this movie series. It started out decently with some slice of life elements, which I found quite fitting, in order to show us where every DigiDestined is now. It peaked in the 3d movie, where Patamon's last moments with Takeru were really touching and HerculesKabuterimon tanking everyone was a really memorable scene, but it all went downhill from there. If there is a small detail in this movie that I appreciate, I like that Nishijima's sacrifice is going to become motivation for Taichi and Yamato's future jobs as mentioned in Digimon Adenture 02's ending. |

Well, the final movie, there is a lot of information here, 6 movies or 26 episodes should be enough to build and close a solid storyline, but we didn’t see that here. The beginning of the movie is completely empty, there are issues with Gennay and his personality already, why built like that. Tai’s death was fake, we all knew. Davis’ team finally revealed to conveniently not being available for the whole movies. Nishijima died, and Himekawa too, I guess. It didn’t close Tai’s position at the beginning of the movies, and Kari’s position at the end trying not to harm meicoomon, but her pink dragon attacking ordinemon too hahahahaha. Well, the movies were ok, sometimes boring tbh. |

eh the ending wasn't great but overall still enjoyable, defo with it's flaws but perhaps also overhated. Glad they at least acknowledged and mentioned the 02 cast at the end, although still odd that none of the digidestined mentioned their names or that they'd disappeared before that. I guess the upcoming film will spotlight them more at least. Onto those shorts before the next movie! |

So emo it hurts, all the good will it had goes out the window with movie 5 and 6 which have to be one of the worst conclusions to anything I have ever seen... but then again this is directed by the same guy who did School Days. |

This movie was trash. Terrible, garbage movie. The plot holes are big enough for Imperialdramon to fly through. If Kizuna was your childhood, this is your emo phase. Lui was totally unlikable, and an ungrateful fuck. Horrible ending "fight" which made no sense. If Huge Ukkomon wanted to die, why the hell did it keep fighting? |

Not a fan of the decision to kill Meicoomon. It completely defeats the purpose of spending the last 5 movies trying to save her. Seeing Meiko sad because of it sucked too. Evil Gennai plot made next to no sense. Lots of unexplained or unfinished plot points. I would have given this a 7/10 if Meicoomon survived, but I'll give it a 6 due to that. |

Anyway, the conclusion was better than I expected. I heard so many bad things about Digimon Tri that I thought it was something terrible, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked it, it's on par with Adventure 01, I believe they captured the spirit of the original well. People care too much about the story, which I agree is a little confusing, but the focus of Digimon has always been the relationship between humans and Digimon and it was captured well here. I liked Omegamon's new form. I was sad for Meicoomon, I think Meiko suffered too much in this film saga, the girl had no peace. At least we could ship her with Taichi, much better than ugly Sora. The evil Gennai left a loose end, which makes me wonder if it's related to the other film they made, Digimon 02: The Beginning or Last Evolution Kizuna. I even started watching the last one, but it was late and I went to sleep. Overall, an 8.0 rating for this film and the entire Tri. The low point was the 3rd film, as it was very slow, although the drama was stronger. I liked the look of the anime, it brought a more serious look, the animation was weak for the most part, standard Toei, but until the fights between the Digimons it was very animated. Soundtrack also very well produced, the final fight against Ordimon had music that gave a great atmosphere to the scene. |
