2025 EDIT: I've decided to do a self-imposed challenge this year where all I watch are anime where episodes total to a PRIME NUMBER (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, etc...) The only exceptions are single episode-counts because I still want to watch movies. You can yell at me if you see me slip up lol.
I'm usually nice, so I don't bite, we're all anime fans here.
Chances of you pressing a button with a poke are slim at best, so feel free to drop by.

MY SHIPPING TRASH LIST(images to come):
I typically use the ratings system as how they're already labeled, but after some thought
and soul-searching, this is how I actually rate:
10 - Not entirely flawless, but the people who worked on it put their heart and soul into it. It did something either rather unexpected, or made an old cliché feel fresh through its execution, if not both. May have hit all the right notes with me in terms of emotions, whether I expected it or not. Inspires me as an artist and writer to create something just like it. A few anime rated under this score are actually borderline "9", but something about it still makes me keep it at a "10".
9 - Loved it, but I could see it slipped up somewhere and maybe couldn't exactly recover from it, but still did its best regardless. They're my pleasant surprises, but stood out more from those surprises listed under "8". Love oozes from the work, and it's inspiring.
8 - Comes off like a roller coaster ride that I had a lot of fun with. The novelty does wear off, of course, but I still remember liking it the entire time. Typically are my pleasant surprises. I start cherishing these titles at around this point.
7 - Enjoyable at the very least. Appeal is there, it just really wasn't for me, or I was just disappointed, but someone could find something to like about it more than me. Expect kids' shows to fall here if they didn't treat their target audiences like idiots. Automatic recommendations end here.
6 - Wasted potential, something was clearly missing here more-so than what's usually acceptable. May still be recommendable, but don't count on me telling you the positives unless something stands out that deserves to be known. Kids' shows can still fall here if they're harmless enough.
5 - Boring, run-of-the-mill, disappointing. Did nothing redeemable, or even irredeemable enough for me to care, I don't care how popular or well-known it is. On rare occasions, it's clearly bad, but there were aspects to it that I knew were exceptional and could've made better use elsewhere such as the art and/or soundtrack, so it balances it out, but that's its only saving grace.
4 - I complained enough about how boring and terrible its execution is that I realized it was just making me angry. May be convoluted in terms of its plot and characters that I can't keep up with it at all and lose interest in them altogether, but I'll still complain about it. On some occasions, it was "so bad, it's good".
3 - Made me rage while miraculously still not bad enough to be horrible. Some "so bad, it's good" titles fall here, but it goes beyond that into "so bad, I can't look away from it because I'm a masochist" territory.
2 - One of the worst, but still had something that kept it from being undeniably appalling, usually too-good animation, or it's because I've seen worse. If I laughed at it, it was because it was stupid. Same "so bad, I can't look away from it because I'm a masochist" rule still applies, just with more pain.
1 - Pure, undiluted garbage. Did nothing but cringe/rage the entire time if it didn't leave me in stunned silence. Tainted my soul in a permanent manner I'll never recover from. Clearly something went terribly wrong here, and is a disgrace to animation everywhere. This makes Dingo Pictures shake its head and whisper, "You sicken me."

That's true, much less work to sub 40 something episodes compared to 137, and since the show is so light on story it makes sense that some people wouldn't really mind the continuity. About Tiger Mask, is it good? I plan on watching it eventually because I'm a sucker for historical value, but I know nothing about it other than that.
I agree roflmao shit has been extra crazy for some reason, let's see where this ends. It'll certainly be an interesting watch!
Also like you said, it's a fun little challenge in it's own right. I wouldn't do it to a story-centric show, but for Kinnikuman it was fine after all is said and done. By the way, did they ever get around to subbing Scramble For The Throne? should be a fun watch too
Happy new year to you too, I'm expecting good things from 2025. It seems the tides might finally be turning in our favor!
I remember watching about 3/4ths of Kinnikuman subbed, then I found some playlist on BiliBili or Nico Nico or something that had the rest of it unsubbed, so unfortunately I missed out on all the dialogue and story of the final batch of episodes, but I really didn't want to put it on hold so I just powered through. Though the story is simple enough that you can mostly guess what's happening onscreen
Happy new year
(Sorry for not checking my messages earlier since I'm not use to checking them.)
