Before becoming a seiyu he was an utaite under the name Headphone Danshi, sometimes writing the lyrics of the original songs he sang.
He looked up to voice actor Midorikawa Hikaru, particularly in his performance as Heero Yuy in MS Gundam Wing, and gained acting experienced in a talent audition that his mother signed him up for and decided to become a voice actor.

TV Anime 'Kabukibu!' Cast Members Announced
The official website of the upcoming Kabukibu! TV anime has revealed a video announcing the main cast members, which includes Zakki kun!
Servamp TV Anime Has New Project in the Works
The Servamp Festival announced on Sunday 5th February that a new project for the Servamp television anime is in the works. Voice actor Ryohei Kimura reported after the event that a new anime project was announced.
Zakki kun voiced supporting character Licht Jekylland Todoroki, which included singing on an insert song, in season one.

Astro Boy: Edge of Time Game Adds Japanese Cast Members
Active Gaming Media revealed cast members for the Japanese version of its Astro Boy: Edge of Time (titled Atom: Jikū no Hate in Japan) digital card game based on the works of manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka, which features characters redesigned by modern artists. The revealed cast includes Zakki kun as the Male Protagonist.

Personally, I found his voice really lovely to listen to since Free! and Glasslip were airing, but it was his diverse roles last year that got me to fall in love with it. I remember being really happily surprised by his performances in Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku and Kiznaiver - it was my first time hearing him voice more genki/eccentric type characters! :D

'Starmyu 2nd Season' New Cast Members Announced
The official Twitter account of TV anime Starmyu has revealed new cast members for the upcoming sequel. The new characters are the Ancients (coaches) as well as two of the members each from team Yuzuriha and team Sazanami. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Spring 2017.
Zakki kun will be joining the cast as Riku Ageha member of Team Sazanami, rest of the announced cast:
