Synopsis

On his way home from school, Tatsumi sees a man collapsed near a lake. When he approaches him, Tatsumi notices something strange: the person in need of help is actually a beautiful merman named Wakasa! Because Wakasa's home has become too polluted to live in, Tatsumi graciously offers his bathtub as a refuge.

With a boisterous merman as his new roommate, Tatsumi's normal life won't be returning anytime soon, not to mention Wakasa's aquatic friends—Takasu, Mikuni, and Maki—often show up uninvited, making them all quite a handful for the high school student. As he humors their curiosity for human life, Tatsumi sometimes finds himself enjoying their childish antics, but he will have to keep his cool if he intends to keep up with his daily life and newfound friendship.

If you want a wholesome anime about a guy with a merman in his bathtub doing totally straight things together, this is your anime! This anime is really cute with great characters that will keep you wanting more then just the 13 episodes we get. The mains are fun, the side characters are fun (not counting one), and their stories are adorable!

The animation is nice but its the characters that carry the show. Wakasa is just the right amount of needy yet innocent while Tatsumi is gloomy while caring. This characters really ground each other and their interactions always feel playful. Also, how often do ...

WOWOWO The dotty-otty reviews are back! At least for now!! On today's review we have "Orenchi no Furo Jijou" or "Merman in my Tub", let's go!!

-Story 6/10-
The plot is really simple "a I found a merman that didn't have a home and now he's living in my tub" each episode is pretty simple, following Tatsumi, Wakasa and their friends/relatives every now and then

-Art 10/10-
Art-syle was amazing. Something that I really want to point out is how the opening is "dramatic" and makes you think that you're about to see something super action packed yet the anime isn't that. Also I loved the character designs

-Sound 10/10-
Great ...

Mixed Feelings
It would’ve been an 8/10 for me if Tatsumi and Wakasa kisses at the last episode. Y’all queer baited enough, so why not sneak in a little kiss? This anime was so whole. I liked the characters, they made me laugh personally…except for that creepy little sister. The story was different, maybe they could’ve done more but the episodes are literally 3 minutes long if you take out the op (ugly opening song btw, deserves better tbh). Also what I found interesting is the fact that the episodes dropped little facts about sea creatures, that was “quirky” I guess. Unpredictable imo but lowkey I didn’t ...
