Synopsis

While testing out his camera on a bridge one summer night, Kaito Kirishima sees a blue light streaking across the sky, only to be blown off the railing seconds later. Just before succumbing to unconsciousness, a hand reaches down to grab ahold of his own. Dazed and confused, Kaito wakes up the next morning wondering how he ended up back in his own room with no apparent injuries or any recollection of the night before. As he proceeds with his normal school life, Kaito and his friends discuss what to do with his camera, finally deciding to make a film with it over their upcoming summer break. Noticing that Kaito has an interest in the new upperclassmen Ichika Takatsuki, his friend Tetsurou Ishigaki decides to invite her, as well as her friend Remon Yamano, to join them in their movie project.

In what becomes one of the most entertaining and exciting summers of their lives, Kaito and his friends find that their time spent together is not just about creating a film, but something much more meaningful that will force them to confront their true feelings and each other.

This anime has left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling that I just can't shake off.

I'll be honest, I went into this series not knowing what to expect. But from the very first episode, I was hooked. There's something about the way the characters interact, the way the story unfolds, that just draws you in. And as you progress through the episodes, you find yourself becoming more and more attached to the characters. I mean, who wouldn't fall in love with Kaito's passion for filmmaking or Ichika's adorable quirks?

What really got me, though, was the way the series captured the essence of summer. I mean, ...

Ano Natsu de Matteru - A Mediocre Blend of Romance and Sci-Fi

Rating: 5/10

Ano Natsu de Matteru is an anime series that attempts to intertwine elements of romance and science fiction, but unfortunately falls short of creating a truly engaging and memorable experience. While it has its moments, the overall execution leaves much to be desired, resulting in a mediocre offering.

The story follows a group of high school students who come together during their summer break to create a film. However, their plans take an unexpected turn when they encounter an extraterrestrial being, leading to a series of events that challenge their friendships and complicate their ...

The MC looks like he might be a little more introspective from the first scene, giving the occasional wistful internal monologue, but he quickly becomes dumb, oblivious as your thickest romcom main. Worst of all, he's generic in his I WUVS you dynamic with his alien waifu, having nothing else to his character other than being a jittery mess (until he isn't) and wanting to preserve these precious memories, since there probably isn't a heaven or D-g or whatever.

Most of the characters are shown to be pretty damn stupid and oblivious by episode 3. Those are some intense misunderstandings and a much-too-tangled love geometry. ...
