Both Anime are very light hearted and the vast majority of the jokes featured of are some kind of sexual innuendo or just plain sexual in nature.

Shimoneta is a bit dirtier in the physical application of it's dirty jokes but nothing can compare to how outrageous some of the dirty jokes from Seitokai Yakuindomo actually are.

If you're in the mood to laugh then both are ideal, with Seitokai Yakuindomo being my favourite of the two.

Seitokai Yakuindomo has much more wordplays and isn't so artless and direct comparing to Shimoneta (I mean for example dirty underwear fetish or great hentai philosophy). Anyway both are similar after all.

Male main character who works as a student council member and girls who are supposed to be the examples of discipline and good behavior for their fellow students are actually perverted beyond belief, both anime have a huge array of dirty jokes and funny situations, if you liked one then you will definitely like the other.

Shinmoneta has a more driven, not that its very important but, plot. Its comedy is derived from a goal rather than SYD driving the plot as time passes. 

In the end, both SYD and Shimoneta are good and hilarious Anime.

Both are anime with funny, direct sex jokes. Shimoneta has a story and is a satirical dystopian narrative a la Brave New World, while Seitokai Yakuindomo is just funny and dirty jokes.

I liked both shows for the same reason:
- both series aren't afraid to make really dirty jokes
- MC's of both aren't perverted and make play it straight whenever a dirty joke is made
- both feature more than one perverted female character

If you liked the comedy in one series, you are pretty much guaranteed to like the comedy in the other; they are very much alike. Shimoneta has more visual ecchi than Seitokai, but both center around the concept of dirty jokes.

Both series use dirty jokes and misunderstandings in their plot. In SYD it is quite funny to see the reactions of the protagonist to the misplaced silly things that his companions say.

"Shimoneta" and "Seitokai Yakuindomo" may seem different in subject matter but they both share a comedic style throughout. Both shows feature exaggerated representations of themselves, making it easy to laugh at their antics. The primary difference between the two shows is that "Shimoneta" focuses more on the shock factor which can be both visually and verbally explicit, while "Seitokai Yakuindomo" is more straight-laced with jokes about everyday high school life. But both comedies contain crazy situations and make sure never to take themselves too seriously. Both shows represent a unique brand of comedy and are sure to keep you laughing all the way through.

Both have stories set in the school counsel, with 1 guy and many girls, many anime parodies, sex talk (the male in Ichizon, all the girls in Yakuindomo). Ichizon has fewer ero jokes and slightly more plot, but otherwise the two are very similar

Both anime are comedies involving student council, but are not purely about what the group does. Both anime are joke based. 'Seitokai no Ichizon' being a parody style anime with jokes about harems, while 'Seitokai Yakuindomo' is a comic-strip style anime with jokes that are explicit and sexual in nature.

Essentially the same series with the gender of the boke/tsukkomi routine reversed. Both series premises are held in the student council and both are light-hearted comedic series.

Both of them take setting in student council, with only one male student and some girl students. While Yakuindomo focus on dirty jokes and slapstick, Ichizon got some nice parodies and a little romance in it.

Main male characters in both series are the sole male member in their respective student council. Though surrounded by high-spec girls, both characters have to deal with the teasing and problems in their student council life.

Well it has the same similar settings as the main character. It has the same overall feel and atmosphere of the animes. Both animes are really funny and easy to get into.

However...

Seitokai no Ichizon seems to have a more parody like comedy with well re-used jokes. There is a lot more moe in this anime as well. 

Seitokai Yakuindomo has more comedy based on mature "things" but its still nonetheless friggen hilarious.

Both have LOL moments. In both, the male protagonist was part of the Student Body Council for different reasons. And the female cast for both love to mess around and make jokes. In a way, the Student Body Council sometimes takes there work seriously and the other times, have fun like the teenagers they are. Seitokai no Ichizon has more drama, and Seitokai Yakuindomo has more comedy with mature jokes XD

Taking place in the school grounds, it follows the daily lives of the high school students in a student council room, hence the name Seitokai meaning "Student Council." Their meetings are somewhat enhancing their school with improvements, and structuring themselves to make it more appealing. One unique segment about the shows is the main male character where romance make things interesting or a comic relief character.

Seitokai no Ichizon, is basically a parody show, somewhat moe characters, and a perverted main character. Seitokai Yakuindomo, features tall teenagers, enhancing school content, and perverted jokes, with the normal male character.

These two Anime have quite a bit in common from the beginning, as both of the male leads of both the Anime are both in the student council and are the only males in the student council. However there is a slight difference of humour being flipped to the male lead of Seitokai no Ichizon, whilst the girls maintain the humour in Seitokai Yakuindomo. Both have a strong sense of comedy and is one view for people who enjoyed Seitokai Yakuindomo

These two shows are similar for a number of reasons, the most prevalent being their character dynamics, which feature a singular male main character his comedic interactions with numerous female characters. The comedy consists mainly of manzai, or characters doing silly or outrageous actions followed by a "straight man's" verbal comeback. These characters commonly discuss relatable situations and make frequent cultural references, sometimes even breaking the fourth wall. During the few moments either show takes a serious tone, they both touch on deeper themes before resurfacing back to loveable back-and-forth comedy.

B Gata is ALL about a Japanese school girl going against the anime stereotype that presents them as pure maidens. Yamada wants 100+ male conquests, and she's DETERMINED to use an inexperienced Mr. Nobody to lose her cherry with. Hilarity ensues when she turns out to be a clueless tsundere when it matters; resulting in much date-kiss-sex fail.

Seitokai is similar in the sense it presents school girls as sex-crazed nymphos, with only one train of thought. However, where as B Gata's humour comes from sexual failings, Seitokai's humour is built around two girls turning EVERYTHING - no matter how innocent - the male lead says into sexual innuendo.

Nothing that rocked my world, but 100x more enjoyable than pure-pure rom-coms and the like. read more

Similar sort of jokes but B Gata has a general story line while Seitokai feels more like a bunch of random clips losely related to a general story of a student council. 

Seitokai has better characters which have good chemistry together where the main characters are two perverted females who complement each other's jokes while another male and female balance it out by dismissing the perverted views. This feel's more enjoyable compared to B Gata's characters more simple chemistry of girl chasing guy with supporting characters. 

B Gata's jokes focus more on pervertedness to a topic and aim while Seitokai perverted jokes are more general and rely more on misinterpretation's and out of place comments.

Visually both are at a similar average level but I personally prefer Seitokai's characters design a lot more, especially the main characters. Voice acting is where Seitokai excels, especially if you have watched K-ON and can get a real kick out of it from it. read more

Seitokai Yakuindomo is pretty much the B Gata H Kei of fall 2010 season. The style of jokes is the same and although the premise is quite different, the shows have a similar 'feel' to them.

B Gata And Seitokai Both are anime's with a very basic story, Whilst both revolving around sexual humour and just sex jokes in general. Both VERY funny (if you are into sex humour) and If you like one, you'll definitly like the other :D.

Similarities:

Both were classified as encchi, but not encchi enough.

Both female characters have sex in their minds.

Both have male characters who have reservations being with the female character/s (in Tsuda's case).

Both male characters encountered the female character/s by accident.

Dissimilarities:

The other anime involves a trio of perverted minded ladies (except for Suzu), while this one, has the female character who fantasies about having a lot of Fuck Buddies.

In the other anime the  male character is too reluctant to go along with his sempai's perverted thoughts, while, this one has both the male and the female characters whom are having horny thoughts with each other, the bad part though, is that both parties were reluctant to express it. 

There are no banging , near bang  or kissing scene that occur in the other anime, but this one has a couple of near bang and kissing into it.             read more

*It's not strange for anime when girls perverted. But in this anime they are VERY vulgar and agressive. So, there are elements of female domination.
*The main character is a school idol who seem to have no flaws.
*Despite this, all her thoughts are about sex.
*Nevertheless, she has no sexual expierence. However, Amakusa doesn't feel frustrated because of her virginity (Yamada does).
*Male characters are timid and are far less perverted. They feel shy about the things that this perverted girls are talking about ^_^
*You can consider this as a hentai by listening to dialogues. However, this anime haven't even much ecchi visual scenes.
*There is an ojou-sama heroine with a vast house. Maids are included.
*Both anime have a romantic line that isn't exposed enough. This line is more comic, than romantic, actually. read more

Both shows contain a lot of ecchi perverted moments, This may seem bad cause your gonna think "aww screw this, these shows have horrible plot and stuff"... but they use that as a form of comedy. It's filled with sex jokes and all that good stuff. I did enjoy both of them, since I do like the ecchi, romance comedies. (Seitokai is a less spiced romance comedy compared to BGHK. But doooo~ check them out ^^.

A unique charm of Seitokai Yakuindomo was that it has dirty jokes for every gag it presents. Sho-bitch tries to capture the same charm and does not fail to do so. 

Although Sho-bitch starts quite poorly, it has few episodes making it a worthwhile watch if you loved Seitokai Yakuindomo. Similarly, if you want more of Sho-bitch style humor, Seitokai Yakuindomo has a lot to offer.

 the male lead character is that type who always need resolve a misunderstanding and always is forced around nobody listens to him(most of time) and he is always looked on as a pervert (he is not) ,as always mc like this are always thought of m by the female characters. the male characters are so similar that you almost can find differences in them. like both of the characters have imoutos who have something to do with "sex".both have nee chan who are not blood related and makes sex jokes both have rich girls who like to make misunderstandings .both have anime mothers who talk a lot about sex and their daughters are prodigies.both have a teacher who talk about sex freely(all though setokai yakuindomo has the best perverted sensei ever). both anime contains a lot of dick jokes bdsm jokes and japanese wordplays the only difference between them is that takatoshi is single and haruka isn't (all the girls kind of love takatoshi though.

Seitokai Yakuindomo (SYD) has very similar humour that I think fans of this anime will enjoy. For me, SYD pulls off the gags far better than this anime. The major dissimilarity is that SYD is based off of a 4-panel manga so it doesn't have a central storyline and is quite episodic in nature.

The concept behind both series involves a club at school where its members does fun activities on a daily basis. The main male protagonist gets himself dragged into the clubs' many activities.

Both series' club/council members have contrasting personalities that often creates different moods depending on the given premise of the episode.

There is a lot of humor in both series that takes place in the setting of a school life environment. Despite the majority of the cast members to be girls, there is little to no hints of romance. Rather, there is absurd dialogues and comedy.

If you like male protagonists that get teased by a bunch of girls. No romance apart from slight hints here and there. The gags are alot different though; SYD is very perverted whilst GJ jokes are tame and cute. Main characters are somewhat identical; Shino/Shion, Suzu/Mao and Aria/Megumi.

GJ-bu is a heart warming comedy slice of life about high school students in a club called "Good Job club".  It's in no way perverted as Seitokai but it's as funny.

Seitokai is an all perverted fun comedy slice of life about high school students in the student council. It's all about sex and lewd non-sense.

Both are comedies and are very light hearted in terms of story.

In both animes the protgonist is forced to join their group, in GJ-bu, Kyoro is literally kidnapped and joins while Seitokai, Tsuda was chose to be a vice president as an apology and has no say in it.

Both of the boys are boys with common sense and no intention of lewdness in any of the "certain" situations. read more

The main thing which makes these shows similar is the fact that male main character tends to be bullied by group of females. They also have quite a lot of perverted jokes, although some of them are implied so you have to be into this type of humor.

It should be noted that Seitokai Yakuindomo is 100% perverted humor while GJ-bu is somewhat less focused on perverted humor.

This is similiar to D-Frag because of:
1. The male MC has the same personality as the one in Seitokai (straight guy) and does commenting a lot like the MC did in Seitokai.
2. (most) females on this anime has a good humor and weird as hell..
3. This anime will make you laugh your ass off...

Though this anime don't have those shimonetas like Seitokai but still recommended.

Both are comedy harems with cliche set of plot and archetypes, character interactions usually leads to off-color humor. They're also both in skit while SYD uses is more focus on slapstick, MTATTA uses a variety of meta-humor and comedic analogies. The manzai roles are also reversed between the series.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu addpermalink

Both focus mainly on being very funny (in which they both succeed) instead of having an outstanding amazing plot, but in both there still is a small plot. The jokes aren't especially similair (seitokai has a lot of sexual jokes but it isn't ecchi, nor incredibly immature and baka has all kind of jokes) but if you enjoy either you'll probably enjoy the other.

Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight! addpermalink

Focused exclusively on the wacky Seitokai Yakuin (student council). And unlike stereotypical seitokai show that show you around the school and deal with student problems, both shows have wacky Seitokaichou (head of the council) that is a center of attention and do nothing like commoners. 
SYD offer the above package in a realistic girl high school that just recently turn mixed school. Added that many girls in the show are perverted like no others.
Manabi Straight offer such package in a slight sci-fi setting, featuring hi-tech gadgets and cool environment of a not so distant future.

Similarities:

Both have the same comedy and school genre.

Both involves a bunch of High-school students.

Both have the same anime arrangements where an episode would be compose of a couple of Omakes.

Dissimilarities:

One is set in an all boy's school, while the other is set in an all girl's school turn coed.

The comedy theme in one anime was more on the sexual innuendo while the comedy theme is based on slapstick's and a yaoi element.

One anime has an extra harem and romance genre, while the other one has yaoi as it's extra genre.

Both are hilarious anime that feature dirty jokes and include really funny/interesting characters. Both are episodic with not much of a plot progression. Both series are also perfect for people who love "boke and tsukkomi" type comedy.

These two animes are comedies, and most of their jokes are quite perverted. Of the two, Katte ni Kaizou is bit darker than Setokai Yakuindomo. Both are about the everyday lives of a group of high school kids, who are not normal at all.

Ouran Koukou Host Club addpermalink

In both, the main character is forced into a school club and harem that they do not wish to be part of.  Despite being different genders, both main characters are not really into the antics that the club members continuously crack up.
Ouran has more character development and romance, while SYD is comedy focused.  However, the hilarity that ensues in both series is more or less the same.

Fast-paced comedy both adapted from 4-koma manga. They managed to fit a lot of gags from original into the anime and also have the enjoyable pace kept. Good work everyone, just please come up with some original joke once in a while, anime team. Those who have read original manga really have a hard time on your show.

These two shows are comedies based on subjects that are considered taboo or inappropriate. Both shows act as sketch comedies as they primarily feature strong running gags. Neither show establishes a main plot. The shows feature a male main character, followed by extremely odd females.

"Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" discusses common situations as they can be seen from an eccentric outlook, while "Seitokai Yakuindomo" uses slapstick humor as punchlines in common situations. "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" is random in their themes, while "Seitokai Yakuindomo" predominantly makes sexual jokes.

With monitor at OFF and speaker at MAX, both shows are technically porn, 8 out of 20 minutes. 

Visually very very safe, these entertainment are audibly pornographic. They are very dangerous to watch where people can here but can't see you. For Koe de Oshigoto it is true anywhere in the world as moaning is global, but SYD is only true near Japanese literates. Anyway, using the same equipment set as when you watch porn is advised.

Prison School addpermalink

While one is more focused on the comedic aspect and the other (Prison school) takes itself seriously on a few occasions, the main attraction of both series is explicitly stating sexual jokes and references that can be quite funny at times. Coupled with a good dose of fan-service, it should make for an entertaining watch.

Both take place in High School and both Male protagonists are forced to join a club in which all other members are Females.

However, these two are more than your typical High School Slice-of-Life Anime.

YOSLCM's protagonist has a unique style of thinking, borne from his pessimism towards his peers.

Conveniently, so do the females of Yakiun Domo- they are so perverted that bog standard objects can quickly become the stuff of jokes.

In this case, it's hard to feel pessimistic- this show is absolutely sidesplitting!

YOSLCM is far from inferior though- its serious social commentary complements Yakiun Domo, which aims to provide viewers with utterly random comedy.

How are these anime similar?
Both anime have very similar comedy, both being incredibly raunchy. Seitokai focuses more on comedy having to deal with sex and the like, while Panty and Stocking cover a wider area with it's humor. Both don't really focus on the plot and are more about comedy than a story. I thought both anime were funny when I watched them and believe that most people would find them funny as well.

How are they different?
Panty and Stocking is focused more on a single subject longer than many of the scenes in Seitokai, meaning the Seitokai was a 4 panel manga so the jokes come in their own separate portions between cuts, while Panty and Stocking has jokes flowing in with the story. Panty and Stocking has barly more of a narrative aspect than Seitokai, and that is only near the end. Also Panty and Stocking has action in it so if you aren't into that, you might not want to watch. I think their similarities make up for the differences they have. read more

Extreme focus on comedy and situations that always lead to jokes. Both barely have a connection between their own events, if at all.
While strange takes randomness to a whole new level, Seitokai likes to keep itself together. Well, at least sometimes.

While Teekyuu only has a few perverted jokes relative to the other jokes, Seitokai Yakuindomo has a whole bunch of them. If you liked that particular aspect of Teekyuu, Seitokai Yakuindomo is the comedy anime for you.

They are quite diferent but main girl chars are similar visually and mentally. Seitokai yakuindomo is more "intelectual" and Keijo more "natural". Humor is even stronger in SYD.

If you are looking for perverted humor these are the shows to go with. 

Other than that these shows are not that similar but considering Yuri Seijin Naoko-san is made of 2 OVAs (24 + 6 min) it's definitely worth watching if you are looking for this type of show.

Seitokai Yakuindomo (SYD) is basically the Nichijou of sex jokes.
Each contain short-ish clips that add together to make a bigger story.
SYD has more of a plot, but still doesn't have that much conflict.

These anime are focused on the comedy and has nice jokes going on for them. They're focused on sex jokes for slightly '' mature '' audiences but still can be quite funny and worth watching. Also they have less apparent stories so they're mostly for calming down or to laugh!

Anime with the best comedy genre, telling about daily life at school with lots of comedy guaranteed to make you laugh in every episode.The difference is that Seitokai Yakuindomo is more towards perverted things.

Both have similar comedic elements to it, big difference being one is fantasy the other being school life. Another difference being that Seitokai Yakuindomo is more of a perverse comedy compared to Konosuba and the MC in konosuba shows his perverted side but the MC in Seitokai Yakuindomo never does. Both are about groups of friends messing around.

Perverted humor exposed wide open and without any care. Most of the characters in both are rather experienced in, uh, this sort of humor. Sexual humor is always present in both anime. Also, both anime run on whether or not you like that sort of humor.

Genuinely funny shows that made use of casual sexual euphemism and being less random than most Youtube viral style "so random it's funny" we see in anime more and more. Stuffs like waterskiing jesus polar bear in a bikini eating spaghetti with noses are not the kind of humor being used here. If you prefer randomness, there are better shows, and even the internet is here to your disposal.

SYD, while not one of a kind, is much more original than most school anime that look similar. It is dialogue-based fun, without the over-reaction we see in other cheap funny anime. Well, those are funny too, but using weird facial reaction or shouting to tell viewers when to laugh gets old fast.

Ixion Saga, while not everyone will prefer, or even recognize its jokes as jokes, surely has its own niche out there. It makes good use of lame pun and sexual euphemism, just like SYD, but also features some action that isn't out of place in this halfbreed comedy-action, not as much as some other anime with CLEARLY OUT-OF-PLACE DRAMA that pop up in the middle of slapstick jokes routine. That lukewarm, neither dramatic nor funny feeling is less of a problem in Ixion Saga. read more

Mio's voice actor (Yōko Hikasa) voices a character which visually looks similar and sounds identical! You'll get a real kick from imagining a perverted version of Mio in crazy situations. Also for back up Ritsu's voice actor (Satomi Satou) voices her best friend, though she doesnt really sound like Ritsu in this.

Both this anime is seriously FUNNY!! Seto no Hanayome is more visual comedy with face expression etc. Seitokai Yakuindomo is lots of dirty jokes and they just keep on coming.  I loved both and you should too

Altough both have diferences (Tonari is Romantic Comedy and Seitokai is almost Pure Comedy), for mark a gag moment, both series uses the deformation of the characters to a more childish style.

Although funny for their jokes too, a very crucial similarity between these two anime and also what makes them twice as funnier is both have reaction-based comedy (don't know if there is a word for this term) i.e. characters themselves criticize the jokes, statements made and the mannerisms of characters (comically).
Plus both are episodic anime with continuing jokes.
And ofcourse, they are a great choice if you're in the mood for something light and silly :D

Cyclops Shoujo has the same type of irreverent sexual humor and lighthearted atmosphere, condensed into two minute shorts.

Fans of one would almost certainly enjoy the other.

Both titles will cause the viewer starts to laugh. Although in Seitokai there is no form of supernatural abilities, it rely on a similar scheme [1 boy + a few girls]. It should be noted that Seitokai is based on  more erotic attitude and does not appeal to everyone. The perfect anime to improvement humor!

Slice of life, comedy, and school are the similarities they share. The characters share similar traits. There is one character in each anime that is part of the student council. Seitokai accelerate in comedy, so you will find it quite hilarious.

*Perverted heroines: in YK it's the main heroine and her female friend, and in MS it is main heroine's older sister.
*Many intimate slice of life aspects, appurtenant to sex and physiology (like menstruation) are revealed and discussed. You can see the similar kind of slice of life in Futari Ecchi anime, however, FE is more mature and realistic.
*Dialogues are also very similar. There is exactly the same kind of "humour".

Both anime gives comments in a very weird way. While watching Jinsei it reminded me of SYD. Both Tsuda Takatoshi (SYD) and Akamatsu Yuuki (Jinsei) has difficulties handling their normal life because of the girls in their school.
