Recommendations

In his beautiful animation, many bishonens, in his style, in his kind of argument, drama, suspense, supernatural, romance.. same feelings.

It's very similiar to AS : main plot - girl's soul in boy's body, and atmosphere is so Angel-like. I feel that characters are made in the same way - poor and kind protagonist, his friend who is rather confusing, jelousy enemy etc. If you liked AS you'd like UraBoku too.
report Recommended by Eriis
Both are about bishounen, which is protect by tall, dark-haired and handsome demon. Besides, a lot of magic and similar personalities. But 'Uragiri' is shounen-ai.

Both are really similar ! - Darkness ambience - Cute familiar ( burupya in 07-ghots VS sodom in UrbaBoku ) - Shonen-ai sides - Combats - Tortured characters - Pain of Frienship If you like one, you may like the other !

Both have/are: Pretty art/pretty boys Supernatural Fights that involve spells Only one girl plays a more or less central role Descrete shounen-ai Lonely central character with someone willing to sacrifice himself for him Way sentimental and dramatic Manga adaptation
report Recommended by EarthLover
Both the series have a group of people with supernatural powers fighting against mysterious enemies they're connected to in a painful way. In both series, there's a special reason why the groups need to fight together and protect ordinary people. Additionally, there's the same kind of "must protect" relationship between two of the MCs in both series, and there's betrayal and confusion they must deal with along the way. In short, the series have a similar feel and many themes in common, so if you liked one you'll surely like the other too!

Semi-emotionless guy protecting someone important to him. Luka and Haji both not human and can be considered 'evil' but are fighting for good. Yuki and Saya both dont want to get involved at first but do in the end so they can help protect people. Both also cant remember past times but gradually regain memories Blood+ seems to have a darker atmosphere and is generally the better creation but both are good :)

Similar themes and style. Both series have comedy, action, drama, and some shonen-ai. The setting of these two series also takes place @ school.
report Recommended by Stark700
Both are supernatural series with MCs who are reincarnations of important people with special powers, which consequently gets them dragged into a messy power struggle between good and evil. There are childhood friends who'll betray them, and unknown strangers who'll protect them - and in the end the MCs must choose whose side they want to be on. Additionally, both series have a cast full of cute bishounen guys with occasional shiptease if you're interested in that kind of thing - but at the same time, it's not too obnoxious.

both main chars show some kind of womanly trait, both have some hidden power, both series have supernatural fighting.
report Recommended by kujika
Gothic and very similar down to the orphaned boy who can sense other people's emotions gimmick, but Night head Genesis has more of a story than Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitterieu, and there are no 'demons' so to speak but people with supernatural powers, the atmosphere is arguably quite close.

Bishounen boys and supernatural powers with romance
report Recommended by Miss-Cherry
If you like one you should liek the other ! Both have : - Great graphism - A shonen-ai ambiance - Protagonist : A mysterious kind boy who is wanted by the "dark and light" side (Karneval : Nai, Uragiri : Yuki) - His best friend (a boy again) is on the dark side. (Karneval: Karoku, Uragiri : Kanata) - The hero have protectors. - Cute animals - Monsters

both are shounen-ai about a boy with mysterious powers, surrounded by supernatural enemies that meets a man that protects him since his past life.
report Recommended by Orulyon
They are both a type of Shounen-ai, with deep friendships between boys and Nezumi kinda reminds me of Luka from Uraboku (Uragiri wa Boku na Namae's short hand version name) because they both are honourable, they both try to protect a weaker, soft hearted and almost clueless boy that they are friends with, they are both in love with the other boy, despite the fact there arent any confessions.... both anime are fantasy/horror based too with interesting side characters.... I'd recommend both because the art is fantastic as is the use of colour, the fight scenes are exciting to watch and the friendships are too  read more

The main characters both have special abilities and so does their companions. Both boys are also very mercifull and kind. There are also alot of other similarities, but people get annoyed when I meantion spoilers, so you'll have to trust me here =)

Both have an outstanding art. both have a supernatural plot "good vs evil". In both, in the team of the good ones there is a girl between many guys.

Both are pretty similar in both genres (drama, fantasy, shounen ai), characters, abilities (empathy) and both have supernatural plots.

uraboku is similar to anglique in some ways most because there is onely one girl in th anime and that it's many beautyful boy's. i love the animes

They both involve demons/duras and fight to protect the world from evil. Also the relationship between yuki and luka is similar to masahiro and touga, both of them have a very strong master/servant bond. The characters in both animes have supernatural powers as well. These two animes have a lot of similarities.

While UraBoku does not deal with vampires it is shojo series dealing with demons and hot bishi guys. Both series deals with romance, drama, mystery and Supernatural. They have good looking male leads and for the fangirls looking for shonen-ai undertones then you'll like UraBoku. Main Protagonist: Sympathetic individuals torn between two guys, they have a secret past that is revealed later on in the series. Both are named Yuki and both have their helpless moments. Both are orphans that enjoy feeling guilty for anything and everything. Only difference is that in UraBoku Yuki is an effeminate (so cute damsel type) male. Male Hero: Kaname and  read more

Both have ambiguously gay characters. Both contain a good solid storyline, while at the same time providing you with some fanservice. Both are slightly in the fantasy genre.

Both have a gothic, dark style to them with a dark Male companion. Uragiri is more of an action based show whilst Deimos is a mystery show pilot. But if you like one, you will certainly enjoy the other.

- MC with a fate - Same kind of atmosphere - Same type of old art - Lots of drama and suffering - shoujo with shounen ai vibes

I really loved watching Uraboku! When i started watching Kujira no Kora, I started to realize the similarities between both series: both protagonista have really strong and special superpowers - which set them apart from the rest of the group of superpowered people -; also, both of them go through tragic situations and, yet, are really kind - which is relevant, because their kindness influence other characters, changing the course of the story. Both series are really sweet and will make you cry lots of tears. PS: Kujira no Kora is shoujo, not shounen ai - even though you can see some shounen ai traces in  read more

Both animes contain very light BL themes. But, unlike most shounen-ai anime, these themes are not the driving force of the plot. Both animes also have intriguing, fantasy-like plots and strong characters that are sure to keep the viewer interested, even if they aren't shounen-ai fans!
report Recommended by RiverRayne
In both stories the main characters poses supernatural power and try to fight the evil and protect humanity. Also, there is a love story in both of them.
report Recommended by Mirel
Ok, so people might think, "what?!" about this recommendation but the major theme of having a really strong, kind, caring main character is similar between these two shows. As well as that the main character is emotionally helping other characters that have problems fitting into the world due to their gifts/curses.
report Recommended by Oogie
Well, the stories aren't really similar, but... In both animes, the characters are in "pairs", and 2 people are partnered with each other. Whats great is that in both shows, all the partners have a great bond, friendship, and trust toward each other which makes them similar...
report Recommended by ImNotLulexiaa
They are similar in the act of getting rid of something evil. Each episode is mind bending. Plus the two main characters show a love towards eachother. The art style is very similar and the story line is somewhat carelessly put together the same way.
report Recommended by dancer2713
Both are about a clan of people with supernatural powers that fight against demons. Also, the main guy is extremely powerful, serious, and tormented by the memories of the girl he deeply loved in the past. Epic battles.
report Recommended by Orulyon
In both animes there is main guy which is a sort of demon that joins a group of humans with special abilities to fight against evil. Also, in both animes, the girl that that the protagonist loved was a very powerful woman but she died and reincarnated.
report Recommended by Orulyon
The environment is very similar. Uraboku seems to be heavily inspired in NigthWalker, as a constant theme of "demons figthing demons" appears in both in very similar ways.

They both have Similar plots. It is a Group who work together to fight Demons, and the Group has Abilities.
report Recommended by Tech14
Both series have a group of people with supernatural powers fighting monsters, and living in a big mansion together. The main character is a special person who must be protected at all cost. In both series there is an organization with different ideals opposing the main group, and the fate of the world is at stake. Not much romance in either series, but they do have handsome characters and occasional shiptease.
report Recommended by Ph0esz
Both have partners trying to defeat evil. Similar art. Both are very good!

It's bouth unreal. Uragiri was my first thought when I saw stained glass at the begining of Zetsuen.
report Recommended by Ada93
Both anime have a guy who goes willingly into a world of fighting. In each there is a mysterious guy in a cape. Both are Shounen Ai. Togainu no Chi has a much darker atmosphere to it, though, and is better for people who can handle blood splatter.
report Recommended by deadaccount0000
Both have a loyal demon helping out a guy.
report Recommended by AnimeAlice
Both have really pretty animation and GORGEOUS boys. The shows don't have very much story, and are more about the pretty characters and the [somewhat goofy] things they do and say to each other. Uraboku has some supernatural action, and is darker, while Starry is about school life. Overall, they feel very similar, so, like one, like the other.
