Ueki no Housoku

Both are about allmighty friendship. Both have enough comedy in the fights. Both have no noir at all. 

They're both about friendship. There are also people with special abilities (Power Users in TLoU and those who ate the Devil's Fruit in OP). These animes are both shounen and main character is a little (maybe more than little) stupid. Later in both animes the main characters form a 5-man team. They are also similar in some ways: Ueki -> Luffy (stupid, brave, friendly) ; Sano -> Zoro (strong, manly) ; Hideyoshi -> Usopp (liars, weak in combat) ; Mori -> Nami (not very strong in combat girls) ; Chopper -> Tenko. 

I wouldn't call it the same storyline but there are some parallels. #1 tournament that decides who becomes "king" #2 superpowers #3 strong feel for justice and friendship #4 powers are lent (Ueki: from their god candidate; shaman: from their ghost) #5 A girl that decided to become the main guy's "manager" The rest is completely different though, characters aren't really similar. 

Similar comedy action. Both focus on nakama and friendship. Kenichi has more fan service though. 

Both refer to the use of Super Powers of great destruction,also, both anime's have a great story line and the main characters share a common goal,to become the best. 

In both series the main chars are actually weaker than their opponents and they win with pure strategy. 

Both anime basically have a "fighting" contest in team mode with each member having a special ability or "power." Even though with Ueki, it originally starts as a battle for the "Null Zai," eventually, it does become a battle to save lives, as in the Flame of Recca. 

Both of them have special weapons/ability and both of them are participating on a tournament... If you like MAR, you like Ueki as well... 

Both of these are fighting anime. But they share a similar since of humor, and animation style. Ueki - is a battle anime where the winner's "god candidate" (or coach) becomes god. Zatch Bell - is a battle anime where the winner's doll becomes king. 

Just like Reborn!, it has great comedy plus action done right. If you liked Reborn due to the battles and different battle styles which always keep you guessing, you'll like The Law of Ueki. The battles in this series always keep you guessing and are never dull or the same thing over and over again like other Shounen series. Reborn! and Ueki are two of the best Shounens out there.  

Mirai Nikki-12 candidates fight to become God. The Law of Ueki-fighting to make your "God Candidate" God. both having to do with participating in a game/tournament to decide who will become God......Mirai Nikki has a much more serious atmosphere and the characters have more phsycological problems The Law of Ueki is Shounen 

Same principle, where powers needs a special condition to activate 

In both shows, the kids get special powers which they use to compete against others 

Gods and powerful humans fighting together. Large swords, power-ups, 2 different levels (in Bleach it's bankai, but it's just level 2 in Ueki). Both protagonists get powerful much quicker than normal through hard work and sheer will. If you like Bleach, I'm sure you'll like Ueki also :) 

I only began watching it, but Ueki no Housoku is very similar to Shaman King (2021). The storyline is very similar and the main characters, Yoh and Ueki, are also pretty similar as well! They both gave me the same feeling. If you liked one of these, check out the other! 

The main character in each series is a spikey-haired idiot who repeatedly saves people regardless of who they are - friend, enemy, ambiguous. Whoever needs saving at the time, it doesn't matter what their status is, it's no reason to influence whether they should be saved. Both spikey-haired idiots - Touma and Ueki - have a certain view on justice. Ueki lives for following his own justice to the point of challenging opponents who threaten that justice, and Touma repeatedly punches people in the face while lecturing them, and believes in seeing everyone have a happy ending, with no casualties, even if he ends up getting mangled in the process. On top of that, Accelerator and Robert have a lot of similarities, the former being the most powerful esper in the world and the latter being a ten-star Heavenly Being. They are ruthless, seemingly all-powerful, dislike having to fight (for different reasons - Accelerator wants people to see him too powerful to fight in the first place, and Robert loses years of his life from using his abilities too much), and both boys were ostracized by others as monsters from a young age that resulted in some serious destruction of the city they lived in. Then, the Robert-Ueki and Accelerator-Touma dynamics are also similar. Both series also have characters with unusual types of powers - in The Law of Ueki the various power users typically have one single power granted to them from a God Candidate, and in Toaru Majutsu no Index there are magicians and espers, the latter of whom can only have one single base power. The two series involve a group of friends with amazing and diverse powers, they come together to fight a common adversary to protect their loved ones. Both series have amazing fighting scenes and comedic moments. Both share Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Shounen, drama, and Supernatural genre components.  

The two battle shounen I have enjoyed the most in two different moments of my life. Ueki no Housoku was part of my childhood, and One Punch Man introduced me to anime series again after years. They both share a simple and funny main character with a strong sense of justice. 

Although both animes appear very different at first glance, they do share some similarities. In both Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and The Law of Ueki, the overall message is the same: to never give up (even when the goals seems impossible to reach). The theme is also similar as it revolves around friendship, loyalty, and courage. The protagonists share the same objective as well, though how they achieve their goal is a bit different. In Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, they use mechas. In The Law of Ueki, they have superpowers. Both protagonists experience a hardship that will motivate them further to achieve their goal, though I must admit that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is darker and more serious than The Law of Ueki... and you may hate the protagonist of TTGL at first (but he'll grow out of it)... However, both do have their share of comedy so don’t let that deter you from watching. The animation is also similar, so expect a lot of eye popping colors moving all at once (don’t worry, it’s beautiful!)! Overall, if you liked The Law of Ueki, I am pretty sure you would enjoy Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (unless… you aren’t a fan of mechas. But even so, give it a chance! You may end up loving it!) &same goes for TTGL fans. If you liked TTGL, you'd probably enjoy The Law of Ueki too!  read more 

Both series consists of action and battle shounen sequences involving story arcs against certain events/antagonists. Of course, these battles involves supernatural themes and often times or not deals with the main characters utilizing their abilities to aid them in combat. Both series' fights are straight forward and entertaining. There is also a similar theme involving the main characters participating in an exam/competition to reach their goal. Both series also gives off an adventure like feeling. 

Beelzebub is similar to The Law if Ueki because: #1. The main characters's characteristics and power. Both the main characters Oga and Ueki are tough little bastards. They also have an insane amount of strength. The main characters's personalities are also quite similar. Both Oga and Ueki have a careless attitude. They also say some respectable things that make people around them wonder if they're really that careless. I think it's cool. >:D OH! and one more thing! that cliche main character getting pissed when someone they care about is in danger. Yup you guys know what I'm talking about! ^•^ #2. How the characters get their power. Both the characters get their insane amount of power from another world. Ueki: Heaven, from a Heavenly Being Oga: Demon World, from a demon prince. #3. They kinda prevent the world from being taken over or being destroyed. :P Both Oga and Ueki prevents the world from being destroyed because they know what is going to destroy the world so they are "fighting" against it so the world will stay the way it is. read more 

High schoolers have powers and compete for something that can grant their wishes. If you wish you had reliable, loyal friends with the power of God and anime while watching one or the other and want to feel that more, look no further. Stay inside.

Apart from the gods part in Law of Ueki they are pretty similar, a bunch of people getting powers fighting eachother Where as in Law of Ueki they get powers from Gods and in Darwins Game they get powers from an application in your phone, each power differ and have its up and downs. The Goal in Darwins game isnt really revealed as of this point, whilst the goal tends to be clearer in Ueki no Housoku 

Both share friendship stories,player vs player competition,misanthorpic blonde white haired kids and great music as well too. 

Both stories are focused on environmentalism as well as alot of action and stylish visuals and animation.

Both anime have stories of power user clashes and both fight using unique strategies. If undead unluck analyzes the opponent's negated “rules”. Then the law of ueki analyzes the opponent's Limiting Condition.  

There are some similarities because: -Both of them is talk about 'nouryoku' or special ability -Both of main char is an orphan, Atsushi is true an orphan while Ueki just his mother deceased -Both of them many fighting and battle scenes -Both of them are funny in some scenes -Both of them is about cooperation between mc and his allies Overall from me they both many talk about fighting and battle 

Although the two dosen't seem very similar their characters are have similar traits. Both main characters are just some cocky a-holes and they both seem to meet incredible obstacles and are able to pass them by a hair. Both also seem to be destined for greatness without their knowledge and they're just doing it for the thrill or justice of the matter. I highly recommend watching Ueki if you like the character structure of ikki 

Both main characters spit out lines like: "I'll protect everyone" "I'm gonna get stronger!" Other than that the two series follows "the shounen formula", which basically have four stages: 1: discovering their power 2: training their power 3: realizing their "goal" 4: fighting the last boss 

How far will you go to protect your loved ones? How far can they go? Watch and find out as magic helps and destroys people in this magical anime loaded with laughter and saddenss. Never underestimate the element of suprise~ 

Phi Brain's plot progression mirrors that of the Law of Ueki, and the characters from both of these anime seem to hold many similarities. The concept isn't all that similar, but both have somewhat of an aura that makes them feel somehow related. If you like one of these anime, then I strongly recommend the other. 

I dun really noe how to say it but in a way Haru is similar to Ueki and both shows have a mix of comedy and action which i feel was very interesting. I also feel that in both shows the protagonists' fathers both have an important role .Also they have interesting ways to fight, you simply just cant ignore  

Manage to watch 1 ep, my first thing that popped into mind was The Law of Ueki. People participate into some kind of tournament.... 

Though they differ significantly in time and place, they share two key aspects: the selflessness of the main character and the creativity of the fight scenes. Ueki, like Beet, was saved from death by those he grew to idolize not once, but twice. And the powers they have are not used to brute-force fights, but to win them creatively (such as in the fight with Grineed or with Bolo T). 

Both involve creative superpowers and consequently the best battles ever. Since the nature of the hero's powers in both series basically precludes any chance of just using raw power to win a fight, their winning plans always come out of left field and are always a surprise. 

Both anime's contain unnatural powers and fights. Also characters from both this anime's want to protect earth environment. 

they have a very similar story line. 

both main characters don't really belong with the group their in. both are shonen, have super-powered fights, have comedy. both fight to protect their justice. their both really enjoyable if you just want to watch somthing good. so if you want a regular shonen with little or no teenage angst, this is the show for you.

Both animes have powers and similar characters like mori and mikan and natsume and ueki thay also have this same kind of feel to them if you liked one you'll surely like the other one:) 

I think Rin and Ueki are a lot alike. They're both kind of idiotic and there is a lot more to them than meets the eye (without inserting any spoilers)

both are similar. In fullmetal alchemist, "to gain something you must pay something in same value". the law of ueki also does have that meaning too. like, Kousuke Ueki from the law of ueki loses sth he has for everytime he uses his power. Apart from that, they both have action, comedy and characters have supernatural powers to begin with. oh another thing... both main characters are short & tiny. And hate it when other mentioned it. when that time comes it looks really funny. ^-^  

I feel like the main characters and the general flows of the shows are similiar. You get a main character who suddenly aquires a power, both of them are flegmatic in their own way at times, but when needed, they fight with unfaltering resolve. The side characters have their own deep, most of them with a flashback of their own, explaining their actions. Also in both shows there are motives of journey, tournaments, ability fine-tuning, (few others but *spoilers*), but most importantly using one's with to overcome your opponent (even though i felt like JoJo was better at that.)
