They both share a similar theme of having social angst and most importantly the struggle to communicate their individuality. They are both feel good movies.

It's more just the fact that these two are literally similar as opposed to feels. The art style, romance story, teen love. You get the drift. Also live in a time that's a lot like the present day, presented in a way that doesn't seem too out of touch with reality. Good as movies, maybe something to take in the long run. I personally wouldn't say Soda Pop is all that good, but it is there if you want a try. It's all fun if nothing else.

Similarities mostly fall under the romance side of things, but it comes with the fair share of ups and downs with drama and inconveniences the characters have to deal with. There are that two parts that go into spoilers, but I will just say that characters get their fair share of life problems in terms of relationships and means to move forward. Good love stories that are movies if nothing else though. Looks really nice and has good OST.

This recommendation came to mind since both Soda Pop and Tsuki both follow young individuals and the love issues that come around youth in love. It's set in a world that's modern and close to ours with connectivity and activities such can go through during their times young. Also with male protagonists having a rather Japanese hobby alongside they need to fit it into their life schedule. The entire thing is pretty relaxed too with drama not being the selling point and when it does arise, it's nothing too serious or melodramatic. Good romances with young characters. Just remembered Natsumatsuri plays in Tsuki ga Kirei so  read more

These movies encapsulate the seasonal romance. One has the best summer vacation vibes I've ever seen, and one is the most cozy winter movie. Plus, the animation on both of them is stellar and they're both EXTREMELY cute. Probably gonna be comfort movies for me.

The art style is similar and they both have the same warm bright summery energy

Very Light hearted Cute Romance/Slice of Life Anime.

• The way of storytelling is very simple in both the anime. • Both feels more like a slice of life anime focuses more on drama and less on comedy. • Both have similar kind of ending.

I find the art style and the vibe in these two movies very similar. I really really love both and words bubble up like soda pop is a romance anime that you’ve got to watch:)

These are to animes that don't just talk about music, but put it in a sentimental way. In both of them we see characters that even with a hard and sad life, found a happiness in there lifes, find a way to show there fellings, throw music. We have a poor child that live's in a poor town, with almost no family, and a girl that loose the hability to speak, but wanted more than everything to say her feelings, and when they discover the world of music, they finally find the so wanted happiness. That's why I think that they are simillars, and why they  read more

These anime both feature beautiful animation, similar art styles, slow burn romance, and interesting characters. In particular the male love interests are both introverted and socially awkward.

A "boy-meets-girl" drama, music, romance with a pinch of comedy and a bit of slice-of-life story and how they influence and impact each other's lives. Protagonists have something they love and share with the world (Cherry and his haikus, Arima Kousei and his music and piano, Smile with her kawaii things and streaming, Kaori with her music and violin), with their friends and the main girl who is also the protagonist's romantic interest cheering them on and helping them. Kousei and Cherry are also very similar in personality and behaviour and appearance, except Kousei wears glasses and Cherry doesn't. Sometimes both get a little lost in  read more

These two anime are both sweet romances that feature shy characters who best express themselves through poetry—specifically through senryu in Senryu Girl (Senryuu Shoujo) and haiku in Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop (Cider no You ni Kotoba ga Wakiagaru). If you like one, then you’re almost sure to like the other.

If you enjoyed Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, chances are you'll also enjoy Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu because both share the premise of being lighthearted childhood romances. They offer a relaxing viewing experience without high expectations, featuring cute and simple romantic narratives.

Both of the these are wholesome teenage romance stories. Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman is a little ecchi and has love polygon angle to it but overall is still imho is a feel good romance story. Cider no You ni Kotoba ga Wakiagaru is the same remove the ecchi and love triangles it's a very wholesome romance story. If you liked one you should check out other one was well. Also if you were also interested in the bubbly pop like artstyle both of the have a similar look with high contrast and heavy linework in backgrounds. These bring out the kind of lofi comfy look  read more

Both animes are summer vacation, wholesome, slice-of-life types of animes. The main character spends lots of time with their newfound friends, exploring, and enjoying the simplicity of life. It is something you put on when you're just tired of everything and want to feel something, but not too crazy. The main characters strive to change, to become happier, and while overcoming their own obstacle that can happen to any one of us. It teaches us to cherish life a lot more, and when there is an obstacle that happens to us beyond our control, lets make the best of the situation.

Summer Wars and Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop might have completely different genres and stories, but they are able to connect with their audience because the characters are understandable. The main and supporting characters have personalities and motivations that are easy to identify. You do not need deep nuances and hidden motivations in order to have good characters. Summer Wars is described as having a grandiose, external conflict but it honestly feels like a small scale story that makes you cheer on the main characters. For the same reasons, you will want to cheer on the main characters in Words Bubble Up Like  read more

Some teen romance and a Shinkai movie. Idk what more you want me to say. For the purpose of persuasion though, I will tell you that both have aesthetics and although trip up later in the story, has a romance that makes up for the silliness. It's maybe not the biggest go-to, but it's nice on your list.

I totally enjoyed watching both of them. Both have a unique art style and the word bubble in the English name, which i find quiet funny. That's why i watched them after another. If you want to experience a exciting story with a small overload of cuteness, I totally recommend this.

Two wonderful coming-of-age stories of adolescents finding love during summer. In Whisper of the Heart, Shizuku and Seiji grow their love by supporting each other's passion. In Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, Cherry and Smile grow their love by helping each other overcome their insecurities.

Both animes are set during the summertime of the year. They both give off the same vibes in terms of excitement of what will happen in the future, very beachy hot day vibes, and all of the music is very upbeat, mysterious, and hopeful. The animation both uses very bright colors and beautiful scenery. You will feel free and fuzzy watching these
