Shikioriori

Same atmosphere, art style, and animation. great soundtrack. Must watch if you like Shinkai Makoto's works.

Feelings, feelings and more feelings. This line takes us to these two films. - Both works are presented in the "story collection" format, being, therefore, films composed of three smaller stories. These stories, although more private, have a connection between them. This connection, however, is more relevant in Byousoku 5 Centimeter than in Shikioriori. - Both films have a very sentimental central theme and around a specific feeling. In Shikioriori, the stories revolve around youth and nostalgia, evoking an atmosphere and addressing individual dilemmas originating in childhood and adolescence. On the other hand, in Byousoku 5 Centimeter, the main theme is the distance that is drawn between a couple and the feelings resulting from this separation. Shikioriori's last story, in particular, looks a lot like Byousoku 5 Centimeter. - Both Byousoku 5 Centimeter and Shikioriori have a similar atmosphere and representations. Although the first takes place in Japan and the second in China, both contain cultural elements from each country. For example, Byousoku 5 Centimeter is very naturalistic in some of its symbolisms and often represents elements of everyday Japanese, while Shikioriori dives more into Chinese culture, whether in city architecture, culinary or other elements. - Despite Shikioriori not being directed by Makoto Shinkai, both films are from his studio, CoMix Wave Films. read more 

Shikioriori is "Byousoku 5 cm, but in China" In short it is the best review for Shiki Oriori Movie, since it is directly inspired by that Makoto Shinkai's movie, had his hand in the production, by the same studio. The same plot of youngsters love in past getting frustrated by unlucky or random circumstances. And all with amazing representation of life in China and its changes over time. You can safely say that Shikioriori is "Byousoku 2 - This time, in China". 

Both movies are similar indeed, for starters, its obviously splitted into 3 chapters, each with a story to tell. But generally the chapters have a same theme to its respective movie's title. Flavors of youth is about the reminiscence of youth. 5 centimetres per second is about sustaining long distance relationships. However, flavors of youth is a "downgrade" and more simplistic version of 5 centimetres per second. btw by " downgrade" i dont mean its bad. 5 Centimetres per second has a far more sophisticated plotline that's true meanings and the virtues to be taught are deep as heck, while flavors of youth is much more straightforward and easy to understand. both movies are great as heck, especially 5 centimetres per second. 🤧🤧🤧🤧 pls bring tissue boxes. yes. boxes. not even a box is sufficient.  read more 

- Both are the collection of three different short stories. - From the same studio as Garden of Words, Kimi no Nawa. - Beautiful visuals, Makoto Shinkai vibes. - The main theme of Byousoku 5 Centimeter is long distance relationship, on the other hand Shikioriori deals with many different topics like trials of first love, childhood nostalgia, some warmth of cherished memories & family bondings.  

Both films have the same plot of different stories in one movie all mixed into one. Both have stunning visuals, amazing animation and amazing plot and story. Also you'll probably get confused more than once watching one of these films if you don't pay attention for a split second. 

Both are short films separated into 3 stories, both have top tier animation, both cover meaningful topics, one being long distance love and the other being youth and adulthood.

Flavors of Youth and Your Name both have this youthful adventure being shown out, whether it be your average school life or the time spent together they both do a decent job at showing this side of a young person's life. Flavors of Youth does this with one of three distinct stories, Your Name is the whole deal of a movie. Both are good anime movies with the same stunning visuals, both made by the studio CoMix Wave Films.  

Flavors of Youth (Shikioriori) was created by the same creators as Your Name. (Kimi no Na wa.), and we feels that. We indeed feel the fervent and warm atmosphere of Your Name., But with a more melancholy touch in Flavors of Youth. Where Your Name. tells a single story, Flavors of Youth tells us three, different from each other, but all rather interesting, you will inevitably have your favorite. These stories may even remind you of something personal, because of their realism. Two very beautiful films! 

∆ The 3rd episode of Shikioriori is almost same as Zuori Qing Kong. • Both the story take place in a small Chinese town. • Our Male MC recall the past events when he was still a high school students. Remembers all the good and bad things and the things which he regrets the most. • Both the anime are very emotional.  

Both give great vibes. Their animation seems similar. Art styles are great. Narration is god damn great. 

Tasteful or even a distasteful past exists, regardless of what you think you can do. This is true for the stories of A Silent Voice and Flavors of Youth. Both show the two sides of one's youth, a blissful past, or a troubled one. A Silent Voice goes and shows a troubled past for the characters deaf girl Nishimiya and bully Ishida. Flavors of Youth shows more blissful pasts with an element of nostalgia to go with it. Both are good anime movies with A Silent Voice being a well-loved drama, Flavors of Youth featuring three-in-one stories ranging from romance to simple nostalgia.  

Youthful experience. Both Garden of Words and Flavors of Youth follow young people who experience this abstruse flow of life. Like a fragment of life that sticks to someone eternally. Garden of Words follows student Takao and his relationship with an older Yukino. Flavors of Youth gives a trilogy of three stories from those who are no longer able to continue with such a wonder-filled time. Both are good s.o.l anime stories with the same stunning visuals, both made by the studio CoMix Wave Films.
