"Why, huh? I already forgot. I wonder the same thing... when I started to develop the Full-Dive system... no, well before that, I dreamed of nothing but creating that castle, a world that overcome all of our rules and all of our limits. And now I saw someone overcome even the rules of my world... how old was I when I started dreaming of a steel castle floating in the sky? I wanted to get off the ground and fly to that castle. For a long time, that was my only wish. You know what, Kirito-kun... I still believe that in some other world, that castle still exists. (...) I forgot one thing. Congratulations on winning the game, Kirito-kun, Asuna-kun." [AKIHIKO, Kayaba. Sword Art Online, 14th episode. 2012]
There was a time when my profile was a sea of quotes. More than one hundred excerpts flooded this page, immediately transmitting many of the things that I considered profound and impactful in my favorite works. I am, and probably always will be, a quote fanatic. Whether from real thinkers or fictional works that are sometimes just as real, I am always cataloguing, taking notes and reflecting on the phrases that cross my eyes. However, so many quotes crammed my profile that I had to reform it. With the new MyAnimeList mechanic, I am now able to add citations to the works I watch or read. In some cases, they will be from the works themselves. In others, they will be external phrases that tie to the message or to some factor of that work. This distinction matters little. What matters most is that all of them are now on my list of anime and manga. Feel free to dive into the lists and read as much or as little as you like. After all, more than texts in boxes that I could leave, these quotations represent the soul that I see in each work. Especially, I invite you to read my favorites tabs, especially Sword Art Online, Monster, Boogiepop Series, 3-Gatsu no Lion, NHK ni Youkoso! and so many others. And that's all, folks.
Just a big fan of Japanese and oriental culture as a whole,
immersed in the universe of anime, manga and light novels.
█ 10 █ 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞
Works that revolutionized my worldview and heavily influence the way I conceive my exterior every day.
The legacy they left me has become part of my being. Generally reserved for my top five favorites of all time.
█ 9 █ 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞
Stories that will be eternally marked in my mind and whose influences are often decisive in my thoughts.
Overall, it encompasses my top ten or fifteen favorites of all time.
█ 8 █ 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐚
Wonderful works in experience and that provided me with a great density of teachings.
If the show occupies this rung, it probably fits in my top twenty or thirty favorites.
█ 7 █ 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐲 𝐖𝐚𝐲
Stories of enormous usefulness, which either transcended their limits of substance or carried enormous competence,
although not enough for the messages to take root in my mind. It's the pinnacle for those that aim solely for entertainment
or the seal of approval for those that are ambitious and substantial.
█ 6 █ 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞
Works that climbed over the median gate. It represents the threshold range at which the highlights of a year
or season begin and is a certified reward for competent shows that tried something more.
█ 5 █ 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞
By far, the most complex level. It is the core of the Gaussian distribution - most of the works will invariably be here.
Reserve space for pleasant experiences, but not enough to be memories; to the forgettable ones,
who get lost in the middle of the seasons; to routine disappointments, which could have been so much and never were;
to roller coasters, with huge ups and downs that result in a flat level; and those who are hanging, who I may not like
but keep stable because I think the demotion is unfair. It's a chaotic mess: everything together and mixed.
█ 4 █ 𝐁𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐤
Stories that are below sea level. It welcomes all types of travelers: generic blockbusters from each season;
disappointments arising from works that are no longer as competent; sleep inducers monitored weekly...
In short, the incompetent and forgettable.
█ 3 █ 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡'𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞
Works that contain sets of sequential errors or a recital of problems in their essence.
Here, just poor quality or lack of substance is not enough: these are works that potentially
irritate me with their themes, characters or tropes and that are subject to being dropped.
█ 2 █ 𝐅𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞
Stories that get practically everything wrong. Chains of events that I can barely watch continuously without pausing
and questioning what the author does. Offensive experiences, as much as I hate that term, and exacerbations of the entire
"anti-meta" of my taste.
█ 1 █ 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩
The bottom of the abyss, even deeper than Riko and her companions will be able to reach at any time.
Reserved for the worst in the industry and the most rotten, cheap and detestable.

Regarding my favorites, I generally tend to represent and order them as franchises,
through the first season if not the only one. Exceptions are Psycho-Pass, which is
represented solo as just the first season and its only brilliant portion in my opinion;
and Sword Art Online, which is represented as Ordinal Scale because it is the
anime-only portion of the work. It's a complementary way to represent my favorite franchise,
encompassing it completely in view of the Light Novel, the pinnacle of my favorites,
already being at the top of the manga list.
My taste is very variable. There aren't many genres that I don't like and even for Battle Shonens or works from the Ecchi and Harem genres, which I don't really like, I give it a try. I don't have a lot of prejudice with most works, even if MyAnimeList's rating is low, and I decide which anime I will see, mostly, via wheeldecide.com.
I really like works that address the psychological aspect of characters a lot, especially those that contain dense monologues, approaches to memories, specters of human psychology, and characters that contain relevant social illustrations. Particularly, I really like to look for these social representations in what I watch or read and I highly value works that teach me new values or rescue old ones that are important to me. Works like Sword Art Online, Oyasumi Punpun, Boogiepop Series and Boku dake ga Inai Machi influenced my perception of things in a way that I keep and apply their teachings to this day, which is why they are among my favorites. Also, my favorite moments in anime are usually not action or climax scenes, but rather revelation scenes and foreshadowing connections. Because of this factor, I often value the message that certain works have to convey more than structure and these particular plot aspects, although I don't discount them. As you can see from the ones listed on the profile, I tend to prefer serious and ambitious works to comedic works. I have no problem with the fact that you, the reader, prefer this style, however I rarely like works that alternate between serious and comedic moments. With rare exceptions, the works I like are either purely serious or purely funny.
About characters, I generally prefer those with remnants of humanity, who make mistakes, have tragic stories and exposure to the psychological. I place (much) more importance on the characters' stories themselves and the social illustrations they compose than on their personalities. Likewise, I generally prefer the show's protagonists and rarely will a supporting character overcome this barrier.
I'm a huge fan of anime openings and endings. Having memorized the letters of more than 100 of them over time and played several quizzes, this is an ongoing memorization effort. However, in addition to the songs, I tend to give even more importance to the imagery symbolisms that are presented in the openings and endings. The ones listed below are sorted by a personal assessment I made, following the criteria of image symbolism, lyric symbolism, music and animation, not just music. However, as we tend to develop greater affection and to analyze more deeply the works we like, it is possible to notice that most of them correspond to my favourites.

I have a hard time summarizing the things I would like to express. I'm extremely wordy, as you can tell from the texts in my list and profile. Much of this behavior, however, is voluntary. Personally, I believe that the main and driving key to understanding things and to information success lies in complexity. Paraphrasing my dear NHK ni Youkoso!, the difficulties of human beings and their social isolation mostly result from suffering and the breach of expectations, guided by the shock of simple, immature and impulsive thinking of humanity with the rationality and complexity of its own creations. Thus, I could describe myself as having the famous "Kei Niitoki syndrome". Sometimes I pore over works and things, noting countless elements, writing analyzes and trying to understand every possible detail. I really can't stand to see something unexplained or deal with dogma, and I'm able to come up with theories to fill that hole if it's still there at the end of the experience.
This taste for challenges and the desire to occupy my head literally all the time with the exercise of thinking led me to choose my profession. I am currently a recent medical graduate and am an aspiring Neurologist. I can say that a large part of my choice comes from my attachment to correlations between psychology and neurology, my fascination with neuroscience and also, oddly enough, the philosophy of AIs and the science fiction of Sword Art Online.
I have a huge dislike for any kind of provocation, arrogance and densely populated social networks, with disorganized and huge communities like Twitter. In addition, feelings such as exacerbated nostalgia, excessive optimism and actions such as the simplification of events irritate me deeply.
Many of my hobbies involve writing private reviews of works I watch, researching (neuro) psychology, and sharing only with my friends, in addition to researching and watching videos about Japanese culture, science, philosophy and artificial intelligences. This behavior emerged in high school and intensified over time, given my fondness for writing tests. I have always, however, been a huge fan of Mathematics and Natural Science. As you can see, I also really like creating Rankings for things. I've cultivated this hobby since long before the popularization of Tierlists, when I watched Animal Planet: Extreme on television every day. In addition to anime, I also follow football and cheer for Botafogo and play some games, including the competitive side of Pokémon and, mainly, Geoguessr. For a good part of the time, I had the habit of drawing, however this practice was lost over the course of college.

It may seem contradictory at first, but it is precisely the way in which she is extremely human that put me on the pedestals of this feeling. When I first saw her, I was an immediate person who barely understood the complexity of the word "judgment." The moment I first faced this painful humanity, I immediately began to rethink my world and the low limits that were my ceiling. From the most melancholy sigh, she drew strength to move forward, walking against her trauma and struggling, curled up in the blanket of herself, against the distortion her being had created. The one who created another of herself, a dissociation, and saw in this simulacra of her own god.
Shino-non is a portrait of humanity facing the virtual. It represents what we most manufacture and unconsciously do when caught up in our routine about digital polygons. The essence of virtuality is the creation of unlimited, ideal worlds and interfaces. And why not ideas of perfection? When a person takes 1000 photos of himself, those 1000 photos will not be the object of ostentation he will announce in front of a megaphone. There will only be five. The five best captures, the ones that will best define your qualities and hide your flaws. Society is an omnipresent jury, and exposing its true nature means opening itself to the judgments of all eyes. However, the real persona is made up of the joining of these thousand photos.
That's why her journey is a mirror of ours. Every day, people essentially project what they consider conveniently good traits and hide the negative ones. Virtual profiles are often collections of this, and it's no exception what I do here, replacing my problematic traits with quotes, rankings, and tributes. Sinon is their virtual "god", the ideal object that became an objective and an example to be pursued. Shino Asada, on the other side of the mirror, is the human being, imperfect and whose psychological is extremely fragile. And so we are.
I love her for scaling my choices and dimensions of the world. I love her for giving me back humanity and rescuing me from the backslidden path I was walking. I feel a deep gratitude for helping me to accept my personality. And most of all, I love her for being human. A dichotomous flower, of great strength and, at the same time, so fragile. After all, it's the imperfections that made her perfect for me.
