IDOLiSH7

-Both have charming characters with great development. -Both have great and likable dinamics. -Team work and amazing moments. 

The shows have suspense, comedy, great moments, character dynamics, interactions, and development! 

Both animes have characters with charming personalities, as well as their dynamics, but the most amazing part of both is how can surprise you with their deep past and traumas that the characters have. Also both have amazing music moments. 

Both series are about have a heartwarming vibe that gonna catch your heart, both animes are about the characters and growing by doing what they love and their respective motives. Also they have epic moments when they need it, it is bringed in the right time and it's worth the wait for those moments. 

Overall this recommendation is because both series are special for how they treat their characters and topics despite what it may seem from their cover. In both series the characters have a strong desire to live with their passions, but they gonna face many and diverse obstacles in the way, there's gonna be emotional moments for sure. Both have well written develop of their characters, and drama around their motivations that touches darker topics than you can expect from a series like these, i would recommend everyone who enjoyed one story to check the other one. However i think Blue Period show these aspects quickly than Idolish7, which it's not bad, cuz i think both can hook you at some point, and yeah I'm saying this hoping that Blue Period get a good adaptation (it seems that it's gonna be good tho). read more 

Both have different placements but they're gonna give you a sweet surprise, also both have great characters and drama. 

Both series have characters struggling with something, as well they give the proper time to develop them, their struggles are more deep that a lot of idol/slice of life series, and both have great direction. 

Both animes tackle the "dirty" part of the entertainment industry. The analysis, however, goes further by bringing the dramas experienced by those who make up this environment. Don't think they are idol anime with songs and cute things! You really feel the pain and anguish of real problems, real people. 

I feel that both are idol animes that outstand from everyone else because both have different ways to tell their story, their are quite out of the formula and that's cool. Also i think that if you're not into idol animes you should start with these two, i don't think anyone can dislike it no mather how low are your expectations. 

In both shows the characters deal with mental struggles, there's a lot of drama and both shows touches some dark topics. There's no protagonist in both series, the show's gonna develop every character and give them their moment to shine. Both shows how their characters are passionate about their goals and dreams (both related to music btw) 

Both animes have a mainly male adult cast who wants to reach a goal, the friendship between the characters will develop their skills as well help them to surpass their limits. 

Both animes have characters that follow some tropes but they're gonna face the reality of the industry of the entertainment and how sometimes that can make difficult follow a dream. Both are filled of comedy and drama that are well handled, also the direction and the voice actors of both animes make more special some moments. The characters develop their relationships as the plot goes, and in my opinion it's highly probable that by the end of the series you will have affection for the characters. 

Both shows have good-looking characters that wanna reach their goals in their sport/business. The friendships relationships in both animes are very heartwarming. There's humor but also epic moments, is gonna be a nice ride. 

Both are idol anime with a similar feel if you liked one you might like the other, however Idolidh7 has better characters and the protagonist isn't brain dead like the one in Uta no pri. But both are similar with the music and idol aspect  

Both, Sora yori and Idolish7 may seem as simple and forgettable shows of characters doing cute things, but in reality, both are fantastic stories with memorable characters, a well-handled balance between drama and comedy to tell the stories behind every character, and their motivations to do what they do. They are really two of the shows that impressed me the most in this industry. 

Entertainment industry setting and comment on issues about the industry. In particular, both series feature a rival group whose freedom and self are restricted by their management/talent agency. 

The idols in both i7 and im@s started off as a rookie who's struggled to achieve popularity--but when they finally reached their peak, that's only the beginning to more conflicts as they finally learn the true purpose of being an idol. Not only that, but being challenged by fellow idol groups (TRIGGER, Jupiter) from a rival company that held grudge towards the main characters' company (Yaotome Production, 961pro), the small competition between the popularity of smaller units that became the starting point of the whole group's popularity (MEZZO'', Ryuuguu Komachi), both of the plot in i7 and im@s explored more on the near-realistic side of the idol industry, as they also focus on the aspect of character development and teamwork. read more 

Male idols shows with an equal focus on the characters and the business side of things. 

Both animes have a cast of just men, they have charming personalities and the anime goes to their teamwork, how they just got better with the most time they spent together and how their relationships got better trought the series. 

Both involve a quirky and (literally) colorful cast of pretty boys overcoming the edgy rival team with teamwork and the power of friendship and all that cheesy but feel-good stuff. These two animes have a very similar feel, albeit i7 is a little more mature with less overt fanservice. 

I would highly recommend both of these shows to those who love music-based anime with a majority cast of pretty male characters. The music is varied in the genres, and the characters are all charming in interesting ways rather than generic stereotypes, with their own personal stories or struggles. 

These are male idol-based anime which feature very good music as well as beautiful dance choreography. They are also the two anime that I think have some of the best 3D CGI for dancing with their high levels of expression. There are also multiple idol groups featured in these series, not just one group. 

Both series focus on the characters who want to be successful and be part of an artistic activity like dance/music, both series talk about some stereotypes of the masculinity (ddd in a deeper way tho), and both animes show the obstacles they have to face to achieve their goals. 

In both series there's a female protagonist that suddenly become the manager of a group of idols The female protagonist are cute but they're also persevering woman/teenager who wants to do the best at their job. (in Heroine Tarumono the protagonist has to deal with school as well) 

Idolish7 is a idol anime Cute high earth defence club is a magical boy anime Both genres are slightly similar, if you really think about it. Idols and Magical Boys both have to wear flamboyant clothing. The main reason I'm comparing the two is that there is so much character similarities. Firstly, theres a bigger group with more down to earth boys (Idolish7, the defense club) and then there's another that are antagonists to the other group, with much more experienced people in it and compromised of 3 people (Trigger, student council) Now character similarities. En = Tamaki (look very similar, kinda lazy, have a friend who's the complete opposite to them, loves food) Atsushi = Sogo (have a friend who's the complete opposite, kinda parents the other??) Ryuu = Nagi (both love women, flamboyant) Iori = Io (does the group planning, is quite smart) Kinshirou = Tenn (has a connection with someone in the opposing group)  read more 

Both anime have a female characters, but only to support the idols and there will be no romantic interests nor romance 

Both series have a wacky cast with non very realistic personalities, but they have serious demeanors when the story requires that, also both series are full involved in drama around their environment, the relationships in both series are kinda similar since they like to play goofy and sexy, but the characters have good and unique stories, even when in the cover it doesn't look like it. 

Male idols who are starting out in the music industry. As their success grows, so do they as characters. Vazzrock provides more of a backstory for the characters in childhood with visuals. Idolish7 does so, but not as much as it would be possible to grow. You see how the success of one can make another feel insecure about themselves. While we are all striving, their is someone else in the spot that is chasing where you are at. 

The stories revolve around a male team/group and their journey to reach a professional level in their respective fields, both characters have dramatic stories behind them. And in both series there is an adult figure for the teams that serves as a guide for them and how they should make a space for themselves in music/sport 

The cast in both are mostly male adults, who starts to understand and learn about each other, at least that's why it looks like since Ryman's is really new, so time will tell, but at this point i can asure that everyone who likes one of the shows can enjoy the other Also the dynamics have a similar vibe 

Both are idol animes about the main group finding the stardom while they have a little dosis of drama, however i have to clarify that even when Idolish7 is mostly "female oriented", i think it's a pretty enjoyable show because is genuinely good and funny, i don't find it cringe as well so i think everyone who likes love live can like idolish7 too

Group of bishounen idols gathered around a girl character that serves as a sort-of self-insert. 

Animes about a type of art, one about theater, other about music. Both are about guys that like the same thing, and then they start doing what they like. Underrated shows with good development and good characters, even the heroine is great. Nice graphics. Beautiful characters and songs. 

these two have the same plot but idolish7 are humans and visual prison are vampires, their bands are like idolish7 too!! Eclipse are like re: vale, oz are like idolish7, lost eden are like trigger. And most importantly they're good animes 

Both about Idols! Both have friendship of an group. They have similar Seiyuu (voice actor)s. IChu have an little drama too. Both have good songs! 

If you need a series to watch, I'd seriously recommend Idolish7. It's very underrated here in the West/USA especially, but very popular in Japan only because they tend to watch more idol-like anime. The only difference between this and other boring like idol anime is that this one has good plot that you'd get hooked on from the very start. The first season starts slow with very cute funny moments (so worth watching tho), but once you get into season 2, the drama and suspense gets very real JUST LIKE HOW FRUITS BASKET DID IT! (And the thing is, it doesn't end there. Right now, during Summer 2021 Anime Season, Idolish7 Third Beat/Idolish7 Season 3....it's split into 2 parts because they're trying to cover the entirety of the Idolish7 japanese game that you can find videos on youtube). So overall lovable characters from 4 different Idol groups(you'll meet them as you go through the seasons), plot, animation, comedy, drama, cute bromance shipping, amazing music (my favs from Trigger and Zool + emotional soundtracks at certain points of the anime) and so much more!!!! The same way you can't hate any of the characters from Fruits Basket goes the exact same for all the characters from Idolish7! I've been a fan of Fruits Basket for 6 years now starting from the original anime, then the manga & then from the remake to the end of it, so I know for a fact that if you loved Furuba for the reasons I stated above, you'll love Idolish7! Both anime are about idols and their hardships. It gets pretty angsty at times with their problems but they always got to overcome it with their own way! Both anime have a deep meaning about how failures isn't a bad thing and you can move on from it! If you liked one, you will like the other! 

Slightly different type of music genres but both series includes good looking male characters, searching & creating a boy band (idols), a lot of drama (up and downs) while achieving to reach the top of the music industry.  

Both idol shows follow similar patterns with showcasing the drama behind each of the idol members, with the overall goal being to become the top idol 

Both are more character-driven idol anime with a large cast that explore three different idol groups rather than just one. I7 is focused on groups in three different companies and is a bit more dramatic, whereas UniteUp! is a bit more wholesome and all three groups are from the same company. 

Male idol group's journey to success. Difference is that Stars*Collection is episodic and more comedy in nature. 

If you loved the interpersonal drama of IDOLiSH7, you'll find more of it in Dream Festival! Dream Festival combines male idol anime and... magical girl transformations?! Similar to IDOLiSH7, the show focuses more on the many dramatic subplots between characters rather than relying on reverse harem dynamics that are common in male idol anime. 

All about achieving your dreams by any means necessary and extensively explores their respective industries and how ruthless they sometimes can be, being music and manga respectively. 

Although Idolish7 is an idol anime- the formula is very similar to A3. Both stories don't focus on romance at all and instead focus on a female character helping a male cast get better and achieve their dreams while the male cast gets closer and become friends throughout! A3 does focus more on the acting and getting better more than Idolish7, while I think Idolish7 focuses more on the friendships, drama, ect between the guys. 

The female leads both work as managers to the idol group in the respective series. The songs in both are equally as good; if not, more.
