In both the main character and his team have to win a tower (dungeon) killing monsters and bosses in each level. Also have the same fantasy and RPG elements like magicians, warriors and archers, etc.

The original base goal of the anime are both the same, to reach the top of the tower. However, SAO setting is a fantasy based virtual game, while Druaga is a fantasy setting based on a game. Though it may be spoiler-ish, the second half of SAO and the second season of Druaga are also the same, to find/save someone. There are also minor scenes that may remind you of the other anime like the boss being CG'd or even the tentacle scenes... lol...

Both are anime based off of games. They are both similar in their polts, how the main chartares must battle an ultimate evil being ,along with dealing with their own pasts. Both have differnet character classes, and are in a fantasy world where monsters and spells are the norm.

Same genre, Adventure & Fantasy. A journey of heroes to save/destroy the world.

Druaga no Tou and Log Horizon involves a fantasy setting with characters of unique abilities. These characters all have their own personalities and joins together in a form of RPG-like scenario. There are various classes in both series that reflects the theme of its fantasy atmosphere. World building is discussed and battles are dealt with through skills. Log Horizon possesses more energy and comedy but Druaga makes it up with its elegant drama.

The Settings For CSR and ToD are very different but stories focusing a bit on the dynamics of group combat(and to an extent the fight scences themselves), weird monsters, and of course the fanservice are all strikingly similar. If you enjoyed either, give the other a few episodes and see if it doesn't have a similar feel.

Same genre: fantasy/adventure mixed with funny and melodramatic situations. Both are based on games and follow an epic story line.

Both of these titles are fantasy with rich detailed worlds and fun characters. Tower of Druaga is over all more serious then The Slayers but it has its share of silly funny episodes. Tower of Druaga is based on a video game series and The Slayers has had video games based on it.

In my opinion, there is a lot in common with these two series far away. Both speak about a tower that can grant a desire. Druaga no Tou like to be darker than Kami no Tou, but both are similar. I think that both are good series if you like a little mystery, action, and romance. I enjoyed both a lot, and I think that if you have free times, it can be a good choice

Druaga no Tou: The Aegis of Uruk is an RPG-like anime, with hints of romance, action and fantasy. There's also drama, similar to SAO and girl-in-distress feeling like, sometimes. I advise you to try it

Druaga has a similar flow and dynamic to that of Gurren Lagann. If you enjoyed Gurren Lagann for the simpler aspects, you'll probably enjoy Druaga. I will say that there aren't so many hidden philosophical points in Druaga, but it's still worth a watch.

If you liked or hated Yuusha ni, you will enjoy Tower of druaga, On tower of druaga episode 1 is not a real episode, story really starts on episode 2. Tower of druaga is a parody adventure anime to defeat a dragon. Let me tell you why these are similar, On yuusha ni they were supposed to do something like they do on druaga well sort of, like defeating monsters, they have a clearing group on both. Yuusha ni for me is a 5 and Tower of druaga is an 8. I did a review on yuusha ni, well basically yuusha ni is what would  read more

These fantasy, MMORPG like anime focus mainly on comedy. While they have a few serious moments, it is dwarfed by the large amount of jokes and funny situations. If you like MMORPGs and have good humour; these anime are for you!

Both anime sound like something out of a video game: Druaga being about scaling a mountainous tower, Magi being about the clearing of the dungeons. They both feature somewhat initially useless leads that gradually grow into badasses and secretly have an iron will that makes them respectable. They both have about the same ratio of seriousness to comedy, and although neither are amazing, they're both plenty enjoyable.

Both originated from old games and give guide lines on how to beat them. They also have their on spin-off of the game. While Druaga only contains one scene where the characters actually play the game, Pokemon follows the game up till the battle with Mewtwo.

Both anime has the adventure/RPG style to it, where the hero is kinda thrown into trouble in some way. Druaga's a bit more segmented since every episode is them climbing one floor of the tower (in most cases). The biggest similarity I find are the humour/gags in both stories, though Ixion's jokes lean towards the more perverted side of things. They are both extremely enjoyable if you give it a few episodes to sink in.

Similar RPG feel with the cast being one of many classes that are available in the world.

Allthough in "Rune Soldier" there is nothing such as a epic story line, some very similar basic points can be pointed out e.g. the fantasy background, the medievil society and lost not least both stories wrap around a group of "heroes" with special abilities.

Both are short anime and have a fantasy background related to knights and demons. Tower of Druaga is oriented more toward comedy sometimes though.

Both are shows that are, at once, lampooning their respective genres as well as embracing them. The humor and action is less uneven in Kurogane no Linebarrels, however.

Mahoujin Guru Guru also like Druaga is also closely tied to the RPG genre. The first episode of Druaga which is a hilarious parody episode is actually very similar to MGG. I Think if you enjoyed that episode you should definitely look into MGG.

The characters in both these animes are pretty similar. Also, they follow the same basic genres and have similar action styles. However in Tales of the Abyss it tskes a more serious turn throughout the story but i believe that is happening in the Tower of Druaga as well (in the second season Sword of Uruk)

Tower of Druaga and Tsubasa Chronicle show a group of characters that are traveling together for their own goals. Magic is used in both series, but in different manners. Some of the characters have similar traits.

They are both great animes. While Tower of Druaga has more comedy, they both have good amounts of action. They both also have a very RPG like style, and Hunter X Hunter also has a very tournament like storyline, in Tower of Druaga I mean the tower and each floor.

Both series are somehow very MMORPG (Massive Multiplay Online Role-Play Games) related. .hack's main story is based on a MMORPG and Druaga has a lot features like classes, dungeons, mobs and so on.
