I enjoy watching anime. I am sure you do too. Thats why we are all here afterall.
A little bit about my rating system, to clarify how I score anime I watch
10. Masterpiece - For an anime to get a 10, it has to be beyond amazing. It must truly be a masterpiece and one which demands to be re-watched again and again. To reach this level, it has to be beyond amazing.
9. Great - For works which come close to a masterpiece but are not quite there. These are all going to be shows I found to be absolutely amazing throughout each episode. Typically this will be the best rating I will give, as few if any can truly reach a perfect 10 score.
8. Very Good - These are shows which likely would have reached 9 or 10 if not for certtain scenes, episodes, characters, or other aspects of production detracting from the whole in a meaningful way.
7. Good - These are shows which I found to be fully enjoyable and was interested throughout the season or cour, but which were not exceptional in any way.
6. Fine - Shows which earn this ranking were mildly enjoyable but did not hold my interest and at points became a chore to finish watching an episode. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but never reaching anywhere near great or horrible.
5. Average - The lowest score I will give a show that I finish watching. Utterly average in every way, these shows may not be worth spending your time watching, as in many cases I kept watching hoping the shows would get better or end in epiphany, and it earns a 5 from me than they did not get better as time went on.
1-4. These scores are reserved for anime which I try to watch but cannot bring myself to finish. These were unpleasant experiences I would rather forget. Ifyou see such an anime on my list I advise you to stay away from it.
Note: I usually give "bonus points" for original or thought provoking stories or concepts. So a anime with a score of "7" may become an "8" if it does something creative, or even a "9" if it is something unique and extraordinary.
