If Bahamut is similar to anything, what it's similar to isn't anime. The wheel scene in ep1, in particular, rammed home the dark-yet-funny tone that's reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean, which has the same two male (Mr. Uptight Honest & Mr. Laid-back Criminal) and one BEAUTIFUL female lead trio as Bahamut. ...but, yes: if there's an anime Bahamut IS similar to, Samurai Champloo is it. Bahamut is an anime that will be enjoyed and appreciated more by Western audiences than the Japanese, and that's Watanabe's claim to fame as a director: WESTERN STYLE. Champloo has the same male lead duo dynamic where both want to  read more

Fancy being a true detective? Does a mystery fascinate you? If so, then you come to the right place. These series excel in storytelling with a welcoming pinch of animation quality and romance along the way. Rokka no Yuusha showcase its strength in a simple yet intriguing game of hide and seek where predictability plays a vital part in our minds. You will constantly find yourself expecting a twist around the corner rather than contemplating and accepting the truth lying in front of you. ‘Simple is more’ certainly work wonders in this fantasy world and the relation between each character as well as their  read more

Firstly, putting the evident similarities of the shows aside (females with white hair seeking help from stranger... etc). The word 'simplicity' cannot be mentioned enough in a world where the smallest mysteries and unanswered questions would lead to a blossoming interest of a series, not only to the scintillating storylines but the character's interaction and development as well. 'Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis' commits itself in a bold risk that transforms the series inside-out and cast a sense of originality into the character and genre (another card game? yes no??) in which no one would not expect to be executed so well in its state. Throughout the  read more

Both Garo and Bahamut Genesis are currently unfinished shows at the time of this writing and are airing this season, they are both very similar. Reasons for them being similar may come from the fact that they are both being animated by MAPPA, they also both take place in a similar time period. A time period in which the most conventional weapons are crossbows and swords, they both also feature a bit of a fictional side to them as they more relate to mythology over reality. Garo more revolves around humans and human transformations with a few demons on the side, where as Bahamut Genesis  read more

Amazing shows with immense character development. The good characters of the shows try to uncover the mystery of a huge powerful dragon and a way to defeat it.

Both adapted by a fantasy game. Both have a simple plot, but with a lot of flamboyant special effects made by 3D techinic. Both have 2 male MC and 1 fe male MC taking a journey to save the fantasy world.

- Both series are sitting in a similar middle-aged worlds where there are Knights, Demons and Angels. - In both is used magic and both have their kingdoms. - Both main characters are perverted at some point. - Both have a rivalry between the main character and his best friend, they don't like each other but end up helping each other.

I dont see why nobody recommended this. Both animes have nice artstyle, dark/similar plot and great individuals who have their own idea of what is right and what is not also higher powers who try to control them. Both series are original on their own but somewhat similar in a few aspects.

Tricky, tough men meets mysterious supernatural woman in some unusual circumstances - their travel to the far north country begins - dangerous adventure ensues! Although Bahamut pace is far more dynamic and fantasy-filled, and character cast is far wider and freaky, than calm and realistic Wolf and Spice, the main feeling about Favaro and Amira very similar to Lawrence and Horo - in the way of relationship development and collaboration in solving troubles: by magic and fist in SnB, and with paper and money in WaS - but both with high amount of mind work. So, if you ever  read more

Anime based off historical events with real characters from history but with magic and demons mixed in for some reason.

I honestly don't know why no one has recommended this yet. Rage of Bahamut is so similar to Escaflowne in so many ways. While not an Isekai like Escaflowne is, they both have a very similar world feel, especially in the epic music and grand battles. They just have such a similar feel, I have to believe Rage of Bahamut was inspired by Escaflowne. They are both really good too.

They're both fantasy anime. In both shows the MC is trying to help the main girl to achieve her goal. The villains are very similar to Joker from Batman and they need the main girl, if they want to achieve their goals.

Both are Action anime with some Comedy that have an arrogant MC with big hair and they also are Bounty Hunters.

Main hero is a bit crazy, but he's really funny and likes girls. He has a companion that doesn't like him as well. Lots of action, fights, funny scenes, great animation and soundtracks.

In a land of demons and angels , a human is induced by a contract to help a demon woman. He will be linked with the legend of a legendary dragon.

This truly example of identical concept and execution. The co-lead protagonist is a vessel that carry a burden which they are not suppose to be. And then it leads to a heavenly battle of Gods involving heaven and the realms. The lead male protagonist is a over re-acting boy with strong and 'monkey' type character but truly conceal a hero substance inside. While Shingeki no Bahamut have more tragic and sad ending (sadly) they both carry the same intensity and those feeling of Heavenly Grand battle which is dragging humans into it. They present the fight and climax in a similar majestic fashion imo.

This may be sound ridiculous..considering how far different the theme concept of both anime. So? Why you recommend each other? Its simple. The story and the feeling brought. Both of them have a similar kind of fate and bit by bits of storyline. They are connected with Gods, powerful being that hold control to the world and how the heaven and hell hold a powerful control that determines the whole story, simply to say...JUDGEMENTS from something beyond humans. Both of the series sacrificing the most dearest character of the main character which in the leaves a scar to us (the audience) of how the story could end with a happier kind  read more

I have no cinematic evidence to prove that Kill la Kill and Shingeki no Bahamut are similar shows. In fact, Kill la Kill is great because of it's over-the-top everything; showing skin, action, comedy, satire, anime tropes, memes and all. Shingeki no Bahamut is the polar opposite, with a structured fantasy plot with gods, angels, and demons similar to Diablo, but wrapped up in a bundle of comedy and perfect transitions from scene to scene, plot device to plot device. In fact, Kill la Kill and Bahamut have nothing to do with each other. However watching both of them made me laugh way too much,  read more

Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis is similar to Slayers in the way the characters and setting are depicted. They share heavy fantasy worlds in where there are loads of demons, gods, lords, summons, magic, and all things fantasy in a medieval setting. The protagonist Favaro is reminiscent of Lina from Slayers, in that they have orange hair, are comical, attract danger, and have many vices, such as money and food. They even have their own "rival" of sorts, Kaiser for Favaro and Naga for Lina.

Prominent focus on gods and demons is prevalent in both series. The use of having a "good" "demon" in both series is also to be noted. Overall both series are very entertaining series in the fantasy genre.

Action, magic, sorcery, spells, demons, dragons, gods, mythical beings and epic battles set in the Middle Ages are some of the things that theses two series have in common. These two action and adventure fantasy series are sure to delight fans of the fantasy genre.

Set in the Middle ages these two action adventure fantasy series share various common elements of their genre, for example, demons, gods, sorcery, and epic battles. Although Berserk has a more serious tone and is considerably more graphic.

Well you know I've watched a ton of anime and the first time I saw the true figure of Azazel from Shingeki no Bahamut, next to Beelzebub, I immediately thought of the anime Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san, with both playing tricks to humans.

I'll start off by saying we've the same rouge like character as a main protagonist with dark skin and an afro, of whom each develops differently over the course of the series. The series also contains a lot of the same humor, but both utilize the Western and Fantasy genre, though Canon Busters adds in the sci-fi element on top of the Fantasy. The art work is unique for each, yet the viewer is given the same feeling of dread for the entire world if things are not resolved. Even the female protagonists have their own naivety regarding the stiuation.

What makes these two shows similar are the two main characters: Yuno in Mirai Nikki and Amira in Rage Of Bahamut. These two are what makes each of these respective shows interesting, because of their amazing character, and also, their cute looks. But remember that no two shows are exactly the same, they are both good in their own ways. I hope you found this recommendation helpful, thank you.

Both series have the same director with amazing art work and character design. Both Male main characters, despite being in the same line of work hate each other but end up working together and as time pass they begin to have respect for one another. The series have Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, and super power genre elements.

They both have that adveture feel . They need to go to one place and do something and the anime and special are showing the same thing. A weird creature that isn't human helps human ( or way around). The both characters evelop feelings and without any kissing scenes (at least at the beginning) we can obviously understand that they aren't just simple friends or something. At least one or other began liking. The story and characters are really interesting and it doesn't make you bored other way around, it makes you keep your eyes focused on the screen until you finish it. Their both  read more

Both are stories set in a fantasy world relating to demons and mercenaries, with gorgeous animation and character designs (whose male characters' designs are also fairly feminine) by Onda Naoyuki.

Both just have a carefree MC and a sense of high fantasy adventure. Dragon Nest's voice acting gets better after around 10 minutes in, and has fantastic cinematography.

"Rage of Bahamut: Genesis" / "Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis" and "The Heroic Legend of Arslan" / "Arslan Senki" are pseudo-medieval fantasy series that feature large-scale battles involving countless individuals. In both of these shows, there exists the depiction of a class system in which society respects.

D&D fantasy setting with great fight scenes and magic. Comedy amount the main characters as well as each character having their own individual goals makes the interaction between the characters more endearing. Ultimately the focus on magic, demonic powers, and mystery along with a few story twists make it similar to Orphen. I also appreciate that are direct which feel more detailed like older school anime such as Orphen.

Both series have a great sense of adventure and interesting overworlds settled in real-life time periods (Jojo is at the end of the XIX century, while Bahamut is during the medieval era). Also, the protagonist of Jojo's Part 2 - Joseph, is likely similar to Favaro, with that cocky attitude and how they use dirty trick to fight their enemies. And that they care deeply about their family and friends but would never admit it.
