This truly example of identical concept and execution.
The co-lead protagonist is a vessel that carry a burden which they are not suppose to be. And then it leads to a heavenly battle of Gods involving heaven and the realms. The lead male protagonist is a over re-acting boy with strong and 'monkey' type character but truly conceal a hero substance inside.
While Shingeki no Bahamut have more tragic and sad ending (sadly) they both carry the same intensity and those feeling of Heavenly Grand battle which is dragging humans into it. They present the fight and climax in a similar majestic fashion imo.
