Both adapted by a fantasy game. Both have a simple plot, but with a lot of flamboyant special effects made by 3D techinic. Both have 2 male MC and 1 fe male MC taking a journey to save the fantasy world.

Both anime involve intricate world-building and can be classified as high-fantasy shows with a strong focus on epic fight sequences and action. And yes....both shows involve DRAGONS...and epic ones at that!
"Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis" is superior in terms of lore-building, character development and plot progression.
"Tales of Zestiria the Cross" is superior in terms of animation simply because it is ufotable. As expected of them, the handling of the CGI and it's integration with 2-D animation is flawless throughout the series.
