It's not too much work. I spent about 10 minutes coming up with the foundations of this rating and took maybe 3 months of 2 minutes sessions tweaking it. Ultimately I thought it was worth it because it gave a much needed structure for my ratings on MAL.

It's a complex rating system compared to most people. It was pretty difficult to tweak till I was satisfied, but really in practice I take average of 5 numbers and quickly give a score.

Comparing shows in your head is great, but often I find that makes me over-value entertainment and impact. It's interesting in a way to tabulate your score, then compare. You might find out more and shed some light on your own tastes doing that. But same, I think my 10s are far from perfect, which can be seen by how I never get anything above a 9.4 rating.
