The premise of K-ON! and Neptunia are both about cute girls being brought together due to a common cause and in both series, end up doing cute things. While the setting may differ greatly, both series are light-hearted in nature and the girls' antics are guaranteed to leave you in laughter.

Both shows have similar fantasy themes to it. Main characters either just have fun or go on an adventure/quests like fighting bad guys, etc from time to time. As a bonus, the girls in both shows also have transformation scenes!

As far as these two series goes, Date a Live and Neptune both involves girls with super powers. Their setting contrasts each other but they have similar character designs. This is because Tsunako is involved with the artwork which makes both series' characters look somewhat similar in terms of their looks. These two series also shares a similarity in which the characters can transform but only with a certain condition are met. Their transformations grants them new powers that enhances their battle tactics. Both series' cast also are made up mainly of female characters (although DAL includes a main male protagonist).

Both anime are about gaming consoles personified as cute girls (SEGA consoles in personified, Playstation, Xbox and Wii in Choujigen Game Neptune). Both feature some sort of mahou-shoujo like transforming sequences. If you are a gamer, you´ll like them both.

Video game to RPG tropes are most relevant in both series. Both franchises embody a wishful fulfillment of enlightening the audience with monstrous attacks on the heroines, within SAO, for example, Asuna fights gigantic tentacle monsters, whilst within Neptune, all the heroines struggle against slim monsters, etc.

In both series, there's the fantasy world where there's fun, action, and adventure like setting. Dog Days and Neptune also both have fan service involving the female cast. In general, they have the same vibe in terms of fantasy. There's also rulers in their perspective worlds. Additionally, there's conflicts between certain nations. Oh and the characters' designs are adorable in terms of visual artwork. In Dog Days though, there's a little romance added in while Neptune focuses more on fun and friendship.

Both animes have very comedic main characters and have similar story lines where the main antagonist fights monsters to help their land/Guild. Both main protagonists have a main companion in fairy tail that would be Happy, and in Choujigen Game Neptune that would be the sister Nepgear. Each of the animes also have a little fighting group that are the strongest of their time.

Both are frivolous anime series with mostly female characters set in a sci-fi environment. Neither is devoid of fanservice. Contrast: CGN is longer and has more interesting characters.

In a world where men are nearly nonexistent a cast full of girls team up to save the day. However, Hyperdimension Neptunia consists of goddesses while Ange Vierge have super powered girls. Both Neptunia and Ange Vierge have similarities in their setting. Such as the different lands in Hyperdimension and the fusion of different worlds in Ange Vierge.

What really struck me as similar about the two was how they both pretend to be serious for about 10 seconds before going 'screw that' and being absolutely hilarious, Even the rare times where they get somewhat serious are filled with jokes. The other big part is the amount of references used in them. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san has even more of them, aye, but in both anime one can spend quite a lot of time trying (and failing) to find all the references.

Stars personifications of major game consoles, the main character even representing Sega itself.

Both shows don't take themselves very seriously. Zero regard for the 4th wall. Both love making meta comments. Cute girls doing (often) cute things. (Slice of Life w/ female cast) Good comedy in both.

Similar shows with the same concept , Cute girls doing cute things and even some fighting. Both have very warm kind females which are being very intimate with each other,. So they have strong Yuri elements in them . They have mostly female cast, and in both the girls have the ability to transform. And both have lesbians in them!!!,,,YES!!! And even if the Yuri is stronger in Hina it's also clearly present in Neptune .So my question to you is. do you like Yuri? Do you like Cute Girls shows? If that's your taste and you enjoy either one of those anime. You are  read more

Noire = Kurisu They(Other neptunia characters) call Noire "assistant". Noire states, and I quote, "Why do I feel like denying that I'm an assistant is in my blood?" MAGES. is based off of Makise Kurisu, in search of Doc P or Doc Tear Popper. Noire is love. Kurisu is love. Need I say more?

Both are based on video games that have a mix between action and humor. While Sonic X is made for all ages, Neptune: The Animation is made for a more mature audience.

From both series, I find a similarity between them. There is the fantasy world setting involving where most of the events from both series takes place. The female characters from both series are independent and are able to deal with problems at hand. Then, there's a lot of humor present but also action as well because of some of the conflicts going on. Fan service is present in both series so expect some of that as well. In general, expect some fantasy fun.

Although they have different premises and character designs, both Ixion Saga DT and Choujigen Game Neptune: The Animation focuses on a fantasy world setting where there is fun, adventure, and conflicts. Both series' worlds consists of villains that seems to cause trouble for the main characters. Both series involves a bit of action (although more parodied in Ixion Saga DT). These two series also has a lot of humorous dialogues along with fan service. (more so in Neptune).

Plenty of characters are similar especially Nya-tan and Nep-nep. Both are also pretty much and everyday gag-type anime and the main character are useless at everything save for fighting, messing things up and pissing off everybody.

Both are cute series that balance moe comedy with action and some light ecchi. Simple, cheesy little stories with very little depth, but enjoyable enough if you want something that's not too challenging. Friendship appears to be a shared theme.

When watching these shows, your Otaku meter might go on into critical levels as you find many references in each episode. Can you find and name them all? The series takes place in a fantasy world like setting, where it is filled with funny moments and filled with popular cultures (manga, anime, and games). The main characters mostly have fun in the fantasy world, but something awaits them, interfering their fun activities. The difference is that Outbreak Company is somewhat political, a male lead, and based off a light novel. Neptunia is somewhat breaking the forth wall, an all female cast, and based off of  read more
