Okay, too many similarities. Both are school-life-centered comedies with a plot involving a laid-back club and it's awesome members. I absolutely love both. Watch one, be ready to love the other ;)

The concept behind both series involves a club at school where its members does fun activities on a daily basis. The main male protagonist gets himself dragged into the clubs' many activities. Both series' club/council members have contrasting personalities that often creates different moods depending on the given premise of the episode. There is a lot of humor in both series that takes place in the setting of a school life environment. Despite the majority of the cast members to be girls, there is little to no hints of romance. Rather, there is absurd dialogues and comedy.

Both have cute characters and very simple comedy

The cast in both series consist of a club with mainly female members and one male member. This male member gets teased a lot by these female members. GJ-bu's humor is even more innocent and cute than that of Seitokai no Ichizon, however.

There's a club dedicated to doing nothing, and its members do exactly that. They just laze around, discuss various topics, or engage in funny and silly activities. Main cast in Kitaku-bu Katsudou Kiroku is all-female, but there is a boy in GJ-bu.

The theme of a club at school with its members doing random activities to pass their time is present in both series. Both series' main male protagonist are surrounded by a group of characters who all have their own personalities and adds fun/drama to the series. Both series' main female protagonist/president has a strange personality that often gets into weird moments with the main male protagonist. There seems to be a lack of plot present in both series but rather follows what the club's activities in their every day lives. There is also a lot of comedy present in both series.

Here you have a variety of charming, unique looking characters in a school and unproductive club setting. The two containing lighthearted comedy with little story progression, but having a fun atmosphere making you smile as you watch.

Afterschool club shenanigans with cute characters!

Both settings are in a club room well most of the time that is, some characters are similar and both have no definite plot.

Random conversations and activities throughout. No solid storyline in either; both don't need it, the characters are enough!
report Recommended by xdzzz
Both are about unusual clubs centered around conversations in their everyday life. Each only have one boy surrounded by girls with a wide variety of peculiar personalities. If you enjoy slice-of-life, laid-back comedy with a hint of romance, and occasional fan-service, then you'll probably enjoy these two titles. Jinsei happened to featured a cameo of a character from GJ-bu (Amatsuka, Mao) in the first episode as a small figurine. Just like GJ-bu making a subtle tribute to Evangelion, Jinsei looks like it will also feature more cameos, tributes, and Easter eggs to other anime and pop-culture references.

In both series, there is a lighthearted tone with cute girls doing cutesy things. These usually occur at school and the girls seems to enjoy the time of their lives. The characters' cast are made majority of girls so expect moe and fun. As for the characters goes, each of them get her own spotlight with their diverse personalities. Gj-bu does have the addition of a male character but both series maintains their humor quite well.

Similarity : + MC join "strange" club with forced + GJClub & Inou Club officially know as literature club but what they are doing is far far far away from literature subject + All woman members in both club have feeling with MC with lead to harem element + Every members have different and unique ability, some of them almost have same characteristic Example : Takanashi Sayumi (Inou-Battle) & Sumeragi Shion (GJbu)

A bunch of girls and a male protagonist in a club that has no focus but rather their silly antics.

-Harem RomCom SOL school anime. -Guy is the only "normal" one of the group. -Girls are all unique and somewhat interested in the guy. -Easygoing and cute.
report Recommended by Moedera
-Both are mildly-paced comedies without a plot. -Both have hints of romance. (More so in Hayate no Gotoku) -Both have male characters that are often the tsukkomi of the female characters.

Gj-bu and Working!! revolve around an eccentric cast and the situations that arise from them. There's a romance element in both but it's not played-up much in GJ-bu. A recurring gag is that the MC gets beaten in specific situations and is forced to cross-dress.

Both are very lighthearted slice-of-life comedies based around a group of friends. -Yuyushiki is all girls, GJ-bu has one guy. -Yuyushiki is "based around" a research club. GJ-bu doesn't have any actual club activities. -GJ-bu is much smoother while Yuyushiki is more energetic/jumpy.

Hanging out at a school. Nothing really supernatural in GJ, but lots of strangeness. Demi-chan has lots of both. Both focus on a male character and a cast of female characters, in GJ the boy is a freshmen, in Demi he's a teacher. Romance isn't really the focus of either show, but there are hints of plot lines that don't get developed so much as revisited every so often. There's more self discovery in Demi, more slice of life in GJ. I liked both for their extremely relaxing atmosphere and the occasional hysterically funny scenes.

First off let's talk about the differences. First off Gj-Bu is in a school life anime which shows harem but doesn't involve romance unlike beezlebub-jou no okinimesu mama which includes romance and no harem in a work/government workplace. next is the art. Gj bu uses a typical art style with normal shading with its own design while beezlebub-jou no okimesu uses light colors and has 3 or 2 colors of shade to bring/show a bright and happy feeling. Now that the differences are set aside let's move on to why these two anime are relatable and sure to be like if you love the other! -uses comedy  read more

Two of these show has similarity on the MC get trouble in the club

Firstly, the uniforms are pretty much the same so that's 50% similarity right there. Both anime feature school clubs that don't really have a clear purpose. GJ-bu is basically Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate without any of the drama. Just a bunch of people chilling out.
report Recommended by Vivalande
Very minor overarching plots and a strong focus on the characters simply living out their daily lives, primarily at or around school. No drama to speak of aside from any used to help emphasis a particular joke, and no really strong romantic elements either. While the main of Tanaka-kun takes it to an extremely level, he and multiple of the characters in GJ-bu enjoy being able to relax and not do much quite often. Beyond that the cast of characters are fairly diverse, but they're all easy to like and relate to in some fashion.

Both are anime about a group of people hanging out in a club room. One of them is a short anime, while the other is not.

The male lead finds himself in a club where a cute girl serves tea and the president is an energetic tsundere.

In terms of similarity, both anime series contains the idea of a club although for different reasons. However, the setting that both series takes place in is considered a school with activities, fun, and drama. Both series' main male protagonist have similar personalities being kind, shy, but often looking for the well-being of others; the female protagonists from both series have different personalities as well. Both anime series has a lot of comedy, some parody, and entertains fans in a more casual/lighthearted tone.

-both have short, cute, and violent main characters -similar fun light hearted them -main character is tsundere -two main love intrests -same vibe if you like this I think you'll like Toradora
report Recommended by nekonapping
Both are similar in terms of how the main character went into the club, and they are also quite light in their presentation styles. Though Sabagebu is more action-packed with BB guns, GJ Bu is more slice-of-life with more normal? club activities.
report Recommended by Dunkjoe
Very similar in the fact the anime mc is a male with female face going through hell and high water by the various female characters. Very funny to watch and every episode is with a twist. I wouldn't call it a harem type anime but it has that feel.
report Recommended by Dragonite88
Though Joshiraku's comedy is a bit more silly and over-the-top, both series take place almost entirely within a single location (dressing room/classroom) and they both give off a very similar vibe in terms of comedy and atmosphere.
report Recommended by AndyRayy
A non-assertive male lead finds himself getting pushed around by a tsundere female lead. Also, both male leads have a sister who is a bit of a brocon. However in Oreimo, said sister is also the female lead, while in GJ-bu the sister is a supporting character.

-The main character who somewhat always gets teased by his friends -School life-comedy anime -A little romance -Always put you in a good mood~

If you liked the captivating character designs and vibrant color palettes of GJ-bu, then this standalone OVA might interest you.

A nice guy acquiesces to the whims of a cute tsundere loli and a heart-warming friendship is slowly but surely built.
report Recommended by shigeru212
Club when it comes down to it, these are basically the same show. Male character is scorned by the school population in genera so he joins a vaguely-purposed club populated by mostly girls. Both are about club activities with 1 guy and multiple girls. Same inappropriate humor.
