Blood Lad

Both anime have similar genres and have a similar story line even though they're completely different. The male lead sets out on a journey or search to save the female protagonist who tags along and later develops feelings. 

Set in a modern time setting, the main female character's life is changed forever one day thanks to the handy dandy work of a supernatural being. But that's not all that's changed. Her life becomes involved with supernatural beings that revolves around cases that puts her life in danger. The male protagonist strives to protect them and hopefully restore things back to order. Expect action, drama, comedy, and humorous dialogues. 

These two anime both deal with super natural creatures (in Noragami, youkai and spirits, while in Blood Lad, demons). There are a lot of fighting scenes, and both have female protagonists who want to go back to normal. 

Both series have a female character who ends up in the realm of the supernatural due to various circumstances. Both series feature a male protagonist who tries to help her get back to normal. 

Note that this recommendation is based on the first episode of Noragami. It involves a supernatural Male protagonist, a Female Protagonist who enters into their supernatural world, ends up "dying" in some way and getting the Male Protag to help bring them back to normal. Yato as a character is also similar to Staz in some way, pale skin, black hair and a somewhat nonchalant manner 

Both are trying to save the female protagonist and search out how to save the Girl also both involves a supernatural and Both Male Protagonist have same characteristic

Both are helping what used to be a human girl become human again. 

Supernatural action comedy is the order of the day here, something which both shows manage to pull off pretty well. In each case we have a powerful male lead who thrives on being strange, a little selfish, lazy, and on their complete lack of common sense. The action in each show is really nicely animated, with Blood Lad going for a mere stylized approach than Noragami does, but both definitely a lot of fun when they choose to let loose. Noragami is perhaps the more serious of the two shows, but never forgets to lighten up the mood with some well placed, and amusing comedy.

Both anime have a heavy comedy aspect yet also possess a serious side and decent plot. Main characters are quite similar.  

Both animes are quite similar the plot is about a girl who turns into a ghost and the main character is trying to help her to return to human again.Also both MCs are powerful. 

An eccentric supernatural boy vows to help a once ordinary human girl return to her normal self after her "death", even though the death was mainly his fault. Both share similar comedy and action, and the main characters are pretty identical in terms of their personalities. Fans of one will surely want to check out the other.  

Main Characters are overly obsessed with something, and have similar personalities. Both series have about the same amount of comedy. Main Characters have a girl to help.  

In both the mc's try to fix a girls soul with her body ending up falling for her ,also both the mc's are amusing and baka's.The one difference is that noragami is about gods while blood lad is about demons 

Both anime are about a main character helping a ghost what used to be a human girl become human again. The tone of both anime is undeniable, shifting from the usual chilled and comedic tone to a more serious and alarming one in just a moment.  

Entangled in supernatural affairs. Noragami and Blood Lad feature a supernatural MC who ends up having to help their human female counterpart as they are related to elements they shouldn't be in. With Blood Lad, Staz, a vampire, makes himself try to resurrect Fuyumi after she becomes a ghost since that would mean he could fulfil his dream which is to go into the human world. Noragami is the same in that Hiyori becomes a spirit, in which she tries to get Yato to help her become a regular human. Both anime give a god and vampire respectively to pair up with a human girl who follows them on their journey and in hopes to go back to being a normal human being. read more 

On the offset, Blood Lad and Noragami shouldn’t be that similar. But they are. Both involve a normal teenage girl becoming part of the supernatural. Both anime have a similar mix of action and comedy as well. The main male protagonists, Staz and Yato, are similar as well. If you liked one, check out the other! 

I know you've seen this recommendation many times before but I got too agree to all of those people. -Both of them include a companion that stays near the main character and gets attached or even attracted to him. -There is a second character in love with the main character(Bell in Blood Lad and Kofuku in Noragami). I fully recommend watching this anime if you were a fan of Noragami or others similiar to these. 

It is VERY similar, the main character has a similar humorous personality to him. I think the graphics are pretty similar (very troll).  

both main leads are very powerful demons both are your typical shounen leads they're even voiced by the same seiyuu the comedy and overall setting is kinda similar in both, there is a small romantic subplot that doesn't really go anywhere .. 

Both anime's main character is the leader of a world or territory that has tons of followers. and they love japan; the genres of these animes are very alike and the female lead develops feelings for the male lead little by little. 

In both series, there is a main male protagonist who seems to playing the role of a leader/ruler. However, they come in contact with something new and unexpected. There is a lot of comedy in both series. Despite the main male protagonist portrayed as being powerful, they also seems to lack common sense and often or not seems to need help with logic of the real world. Both series also seems to make fun of popular culture and has references as well. There is also action that are sometimes exaggerated. The main female character in both series are a bit different but has an awkward relationship with the mc throughout the series. On the other hand, Fuyumi (Blood Lad) and Chiho (Hataraku Maou-Sama!) has some similarities.  read more 

Both about demon lords who travel to the human world. Both MCs although depicted as high ranking evil come across as super nice & likeable. 

Strangely enough both these anime is really similar. Similar kind of art style if that is what attracted you, but also similar humor. -Both have quirky "demon lord" -Both are in==enticed by the human world, in one way or the other. and plus, both are very funny and im hoping for more funny situations and stuff with Blood Lad 

the CV of both protagonist is same.. both protagonist is supposed being a bad guy,, but actually they are a funny, crazy, good guy the story has a 2 world.. both has a great action.. the comedy is great..  

The second I started watching Blood Lad, I immediately got struck by that "special atmosphere," I so typically experienced back when I watched Hataraku Maou-sama! Already from the get-go, the series share a lot of elements and strikingly similar plot-twists. Many of the reasons behind this common atmosphere they share can be easily explained. The very moment you're introduced to the main protagonist, Charlie Staz, you'll immediately start seeing that he has some clear similarities to Hataraku's Maou-sama. 1. Staz is just like Maou, a type of demonic creature. Staz is a vamp and Maou is the Devil in own high person. 2. Staz and Maou are both very high-ranking individuals, and both have right-hands and helpers at their service. 3. They're both a bit lazy in nature but have also shown that they both are able to perform exceedingly well when challenged or motivated with various tasks or goals. 4. Staz has a tendency (just like Maou-sama) for not taking his helpers nor other people's feelings into full consideration when ordering them around or engaging with them socially. 5. They both come from another world/dimension (usually demonic in nature) to Earth through some kind of teleportation device or portal. Though they split on the fact that Staz actually wants to go to the Human world, whereas Maou did not. 6. They're both "Masters" at unconsciously getting girls to fall in love with them. Though Staz (like Maou-sama) is simply way too self-centered to really notice anything (i.e. meaning Chiho/Fuyumi-chan)... 7. Staz and Maou are both adapt quickly in the face of major plot-twists (many which they cause themselves, often without their knowledge). 8. Last, I wanted to enlighten those who have so far been too blind to have noticed this... It is the fact that Staz and Maou-sama both share the same voice actor: Ryota Ohsaka. Plus, I'd also like us all to welcome Mr. Komesu Taichi on his debut. I hope we'll be seeing him in further series down the road. read more 

The same entities from the underworld wanting to live in the human world, a lot comedy, except one is a bit disgusting. 

They have a similar ambient, are comedic and funny, and also have interesting fights and characters. 

Both feature some excellent humor and mythological characters. Both take place in the demon work and the human world as well. 

Both Main Male character are demons (vampire count as a demon). Both started at the demon world then the human world and both have a gate to enter/leave the human world. 

**"Hataraku Maou-sama!" is well known as 'The Devil is a Part-Timer!'** -Both main characters are powerful demons(Staz is a vampire) but don't seem particularly evil -Both main male characters are the typical 'shounen' MC (they also have the same voice actor) -The setting and comedy are reasonably similar -Both anime include two worlds (a human world and a 'demon' world) -Neither anime is very tense, they both have a soft, comedic atmosphere (with exceptions) -When there is action, it's a bit exaggerated I think that if you liked one, you'll enjoy the other! 

Similarities: - The main character has plenty of power, but decides not to use it out of preference for the normal world. In other words, both take priority to the modern world oppose to the super natural world - Both animes are filled with similar comedy Differences: - In Hataraku Maou-sama, the main objective becomes surviving in the human world. In Blood Lad, the main objective is reviving a human girl. - Maou-sama takes place in the human world, Blood Lad takes place in the super natural world 

Both shows have demon characters who enter the human world, and who end up getting mixed up with a human girl along the way. Both of the female protagonists are similar to each other, with them being big breasted high schoolers who just happened to cross paths with a high ranking demon. Both of the demon males also have an obsession with the human world, they even share the same voice actor. The comedy in each show is fairly similar a lot of the time, so fans of one will likely find the other enjoyable.  

Demons interferring in human world but much more action and not drama based 

It about this crazy strong main characters who are also evil. But have some thing in common have something they want about japan or Japanese culture, cant say much just check it out

Both series are comedy fantasies that aired around the same year and feature a demonic protagonist who has a hobby of enjoying media or working at a restaurant, he’s also quazi romantically interested in a heroine. There’s also cool action scenes in both (Blood Lad has more), and the tone of these two shows are lighthearted. The main difference between them are the settings and storylines but they do share a lot of similarities overall.  

The concepts of demons and souls are bought together in both Soul Eater and Blood Lad. Their worlds contrasts with the law of nature along with the modern world. The main male protagonist from both series are hot headed but does care about his friends and companion. The main female characters contrasts quite a bit from both series but do also play some pivotal roles in the stories. They often encourage their companion to believe in themselves at what they do. Both series has a lot of comedy and strange gags. This is presented in more of a lighthearted tone that occurs out of random sometimes. Additionally, expect some action as there are conflicts in involved from both worlds. read more 

Supernatural themes are very recurrent in both series as well as the dark aesthetic in a not-to-be-taken-seriously way. Blood Lad has a bit more fanservice tho. Also, I consider Soul Eater to be significantly higher than the other, maybe due to a bigger amount of episodes that serve well to character development and progress of characters relationships. 

Both series have fan service, a lot of comedy, and things that have to do with demons, souls, spirits, etc. I think they also have aimilar a art style and vibe. There are also hints of romance between the main characters, i.e. Soul and Maka, Staz and Fuyumi. 

Both anime feature monsters, magic, and a halloween themed world. Soul Eater has more insane smiley people art-wise and focuses more on humanoid protagonists fighting with their sentient weapons. Blood Lad focuses on a vampire protagonist with vampiric powers, such as super-regeneration and being able to crush enemy's hearts with magic. 

Both have a unique world brought to life by a broad, vivid color scheme. Both have a wacky (and somewhat urban) atmosphere, style of humor, and characters. Soul Eater is much more shounen, but Blood Lad also carries importance in powers. 

Both these series focus on the hot-headed protagonists and their lives. They have a similar tyle and atmosphere, and focus heavily on the comedy. Of course, Soul Eater becomes more serious towards the end, while Blood Lad has more of a light-hearted feel to it. Both these animes have to do with supernatural beings and powers.  

They both had a very similar fell to them so if you like one you might like the other. 

Basically the two are built on the same "ground", although the stories don't come to resemble, both are full of supernatural creatures with a tone of satirical comedy, which is what makes me believe that those who enjoyed one certainly will appreciate the other, the characters have similar aspects as well as the animation as a whole, not to mention the fights that follow the same style. 

The animation is extremely similar. They both have whimsical characters, backgrounds, and situations. Staz (the main character of Blood Lad) looks very similar to Death the Kid as well, and they both have quirky personalities. They both fall under the fantasy genre and have similar creatures like werewolves, demons, ghosts, etc. They both remind me of each other and they are both excellent series. Blood Lad has a lot less episodes than Soul Eater, but they both give off the same feeling while watching them. It sucks you in by the story line, interesting characters, and amusing comic relief.

Both anime share a spooky Halloween theme and have characters with supernatural powers. Artstyle is eye catching for both and have a nice balance of comedy and action.  

Shonen anime Both animes got all sort of supernatural creatures and use theirs respective powers against each others Humor and personality of the main characters are based on the same principle Design of the anime are very similar  

Gothic fiction. Blood Lad and Soul Eater are both great stories which relate to gothic fiction/literature. Although the stories aren't the most similar, both anime use vampires, demons, werewolves and witches to build their stories full of action. Blood Lad and Soul Eater also have a decent amount of fanservice to share. 

Soul Eater and Blood Lad are very similar anime. While the storyline differs between the two, both anime have an identical art style and tone, with Soul Eater having better production values, less fanservice, and more action. Also, Soul is very similar to Staz!

In Blue Exorcist's world, the demon world and human world are in constant conflict as humans try to protect themselves from malevolent demons. Blood Lad's main character, Staz C. Blood, is a vampire who is the leader of a gang taking up a territory the size of a large city. He meets a human girl for the first time but lacks the desire to simply eat her, and ends up wanting to protect her. She immediately dies and becomes a demon ghost, so he decides to do whatever it takes to revive her as a normal human. Both main characters have extraordinary power that makes them potentially more powerful than most others within their own universe. Both characters tend to act like they can do whatever they want, or at least want to act that way. Neither character likes to think too hard about what their doing, but in the case of Blood Lad, Staz seems to easily and immediately pick logical choices while Rin is a bit more of a "think later" type of character. read more

Both deal with supernatural creatures and humans. Blue Exorcist has more action than Blood Lad while Blood Lad has more comedy. Both main character (Okumura Rin and Staz) are fairly similar and goofy. The relationship between Rin and Satan is similar to the relationship between Staz and his brother Vlad.

Both Blood Lad and Ao no Exorcist are centered around the protagonists interactions with various spiritual and mythical creatures. Each series has its own special way of showing off the power of the main character and both have a similar pace of showing the main story line throughout the anime. Both main characters have a very similar sense of humor and makes for an enjoyable mixture of action, comedy and supernatural. 

If you enjoy quirky supernatural anime, then this show is a great watch for you. Ao no exorcist and Blood Lad each have a male lead with demonic powers- both of which are a little stupid at times. Even with the comedy, both series delve into darker elements when appropriate. And just as a little bonus, the female leads of the two shows have a friendly personality and a big chest to go along with it.

Blood Lad and Blue Exorcist has somewhat the same ring to it. They are quite comedic, deal with demon world. Male protagonists looks kinda similar, but one of them is a demon, while other is vampire-demon and they are strong to begin with, but become even more stronger later on. Atmosphere in both animes is quite similar too, but Blue Exorcist has more school in it.

The main protagonists of Ao no Exorcist and Blood Lad, Rin and Staz, are VERY similar. Both even look alike and share the same English voice actor. Other than that, both anime have a similar vibe, but Ao no Exorcist is more serious and action packed while Blood Lad is more comedic. Check out one if you liked the other!

They both have the same goofy comedy but yet serious moments. Although, the romance in these are not the same, i believe the obsessions are. The two main characters show similar traits and i felt like i was watching almost the same thing as Blood Lad. The women in these shows are similar as well as being shy and clueless, but independent in a way you can't oversee. Overall, the comedy is way to similar too miss, in my opinion. 

After watching both, I was able to conclude that these two anime had a lot in common, even more so then some of the other recommendations for these shows (considering I've watched a good portion of them). I especially found that the characters are fairly similar, Staz and Chihiro are similar in the sense that they are both otaku's and have a love for women that are outside of their respective species. Those species being zombies (although technically just un-dead humans; in Chihiro's case) and humans (in Staz's case). Although Staz has powers and Chihiro doesn't, I still felt they shared several similarities.Then there's the love interests which both happen to be kind-hearted, blue eyed black haired high school girls. They both become something other than what they started off as (which was human), and both seem to have this ditzy and kind personality.And then, there's the non-love interests , which are ironically very similar appearance wise (blonde, green eyes, with large breasts) as they are personality wise; loud, bossy and pushy. They also both share an unrequited love for the main protagonist. All-in-all these shows both have a slowly progressing romance, comedy, and a supernatural aspect. Although Sankarea is more focused on drama with little action, while Blood Lad tends to have more action/fighting scenes as, they are still pretty similar besides that. I'd recommend this especially if you were a fan of the characters of Sankarea, which is the area I find these two anime to be the most similar in. read more 

Blood lad is about vampire, with some actions and comedies. if in sankarea the normal(human being) one is MC(guy), but in blood lad, its heroine. both are quite samiliar, like running away from family.  

Both anime felt as if the main girl was entering a new world (very true in Blood Lad) and having to go through a huge change which they then had to deal with. Blood Lad is more humorous and has more action though.

Male otaku protagonist meets the girl of his dreams (or so he thinks). Something goes terribly wrong, and now the pairs must figure out how to deal with this new state of being. The protagonists of these series feel like they could have been twins, really. The shows have similar vibes, themes, deal with darker subject and have a nice take on humor as well. They feel similar, but different enough in their execution and story that I'd recommend not skipping out on either one! 

The protagonists are both vampires who wants to live a normal life and also both of them have this 'secret past'. 

The protagonist of both animes are vampires who want to have a normal life principle. However all this world to know a girl. Another similar aspect is that both characters have a hidden power within them. 

These two primarily action-focused anime both feature a strong male lead that is an immortal vampire. Both male leads can summon familiars and other powers that they use in battle. Both anime also contain a bit of romance, and a good amount of comedy and ecchi/fanservice. 

Both main protagonist are vampires. Both involves a girl following the main protagonist

Essentially, both series involves supernatural elements. For instance, the main male protagonist has powers as well as being hotheaded at many occasions. However, they do protect for what they care about. They also have reputations in their community (although for different reasons). Among other things, there is a LOT of comedy in both series. Even some of the action scenes has this so the mood is very lighthearted. Then, there's the strange misunderstandings that happens around the communities of both series. Furthermore, there are demons present in both series. The main female protagonist are a bit different though but they have a strange relationship with the main guy.  read more 

Both involve an overpowered, hot-headed MC and a demon leader. They are both comedy/action and give a very similar atmosphere. The major difference between the two is that Beelzebub's MC is a highschool delinquent that has been placed in a position where he has to father the demon king's baby. In Blood Lad, the MC is an Otaku who just so happens to also be the boss of his territory in the demon world. Also, the majority of the characters in Blood Lad seem to be above highschool age, other than the female lead. 

They are both about demons, are comedic and funny, and have action and interesting fights. 

Its kind of like the inverse. A girl enters the demon world and becomes friends with a vampire boy. She turns into a ghost and the vampire swears to protect her. The vampire takes her back home and starts helping her, she needs to suck his blood to stay alive. not nearly as ecchi though. and way better plot.  

Involves a vampire drinking blood from a human & protecting the human 

- They both have a human protagonist who appears in the monster world and meets a vampire. - The vampire is attracted to the human, which makes him want to protect him. Two series with doses of comedy, action and fanservice just in case. Recommended to hang out with every occurrence that happens. 

Both shows contain demons'n'vampires'n'monsters shown in a parodic way and the protagonist ( Laharl ----- Staz ) have the same badass mentality. 

Both protagonist are the "king" of demons, both have a very funny story. 

Both animes involve cool powers and fighting, they also share the laid back lead and are both pretty funny. I think that Blood Lad is a bit more hilarious with less epic fights than One Punch Man, but I've enjoyed both. Blood Lad is a must watch if you like otaku humor, shonen and funny references to other anime. Sadly the anime only has 10 episodes. It's more a promotion for the manga with an open ending, but still worth watching. One Punch Man is a must watch if you like comedy anime that involves just as much fighting, awesome animation, epic fights, episodic storys with a greater story progressing parallelly. read more 

A parody of battle shōnen anime describe both Blood Lad and One-Punch Man. Both anime have a slightly similar art style. The style of comedy is very similar, and the vibes are almost the same. Blood Lad has ecchi and isn’t about superheroes, but fans of one need to check out the other! 

Both of them are entertaining to watch and it is laughable. Both MC is funny in their own way. Of course, both of them have Dragon Ball parody. 

The humor is very much similar, as well as the actually story line. The characters personalities in both of these are kept throughout the story and it gives you a sense of security until you get more plot. So enticing! :) 

Both these anime involve some vampires and are very entertaining. They share some similar characters and are overall very enjoyable and a great way to spend a few hours. 

Both have a very nice story the art in both of them is nice the music in each of them is great they're both from the same studio both have vampires both have a vampire that is a slacker and the comedy is sorta similar  

Both have Black Comedy in them. Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka has a lot more of it in them, but they both have it.  

So good, and not enough episodes... Also both of the male leads are bosses from the start, and they have an animal like person/creature with them. Territories in Blood lad are like the Guilds. 

Blood Lad and Dorohedoro both have two worlds that they take place in: the human world and the monster world in Blood Lad/sorcerer world in Dorohedoro. Both are also comedic seinen anime with a similar style of humor. Dorohedoro is much darker and is much gorier, but a fan of one might like the other. 

Both have to do with the semi humorous adventures of demonic forces. However, Go! Go! Ackman is only ever silly while Blood Lad is has its moments of seriousness. Just check it out. Its pretty funny 

both animes are about a girl who turned into a certain type of monsters and the main character is trying hard to make her a human again , the story is about demons and vampires , wearwolves and other monsters too things that make one of the animes unique to the other : kimetsu no yaiba : the girl is the main character's sister , the main character is a demon slayer , the main character is a human and he's able to use an unnatural power which every demon slayer can use blood lad : tha girl isn't the main character's sister , the main character himself is a vampire , the main character fell in love with the girl , the world building is different , the main charavter is overpowered read more 

Pretty different in tone, K is more serious while Blood Lad is more comedic, but if you love supernatural overpowered gangs with troubled leaders, I think you'll like both. 

At first glance, they don't seem similar. However, I find Binbougami ga! and Blood Lad sharing a number of similarities. Both series contains the supernatural element although in different form. They involve a normal main protagonist meets an abnormal character gifted with strange powers. They have a strange relationship as well. There is a lot of humor and references used in both series. Action is present too although presented not as too serious but does follow the tone. Both series' main character also has a goal they are trying to accomplish through many means with various results. 

Both odd comedies with less serious tones, great humour and hilarious characters/character designs.
