Preliminary (4/105 chp)
Story: 10/10
Art: 10/10
Character: 10/10
Enjoyment: 10/10
Overall: 9/10 (because the story has yet to advance far enough for me to give a perfect score)

As of Chapter 4.5:
This story is really cute, much like Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, but with a developing relationship instead of a crush. It also has a pair of side characters that seem to have a very good relationship.

Characters are really relatable and very cute. Hirotaka (main male) is a little dense occassionally, but not to the extent of ignorance, so he won't make you annoyed at how nothing seems to be moving in the story.

As of Chapter 17.5:

Since I discovered this series around a year ago, I've found myself opening this treasure chest of laughter many, many times. It's one of my three go-to mangas when I just want to sit and relax with a good refreshing read, like one I'd want to have while I'm lounging in a lawn chair on a summer morning at a beach house. (The other two are Horimiya and 14-Sai no Koi).

Finally ,a romantic group I can route for .And their all otakus.

So this is basically a story of two workers meeting for the first time since middle school working in the same company and through weird circumstances , they decide to start dating.Yea, it might no me much to go on, but after getting that curve ball out of the way, this is when the manga starts to become awesome.

So the characters are your basic- Moody gamer, short anime chick,otaku-shy tough guy and glasses cosplay girl and this manga makes the most of it. The former and the later are probably some of the best ...

Currently video games, manga and anime are one of the most popular hobbies among young people around the world that make up a global industry that is constantly on the rise.

These hobbies have been deeply installed in our lives and for many they are more than a way to pass the time since these hobbies have made them create memorable memories of their childhood, they have supported them during a difficult time or they simply find it enjoyable to interact with other people who share their hobbies within a community.

Wotakoi takes these elements that form the enjoyment of many and together with love, one of ...

This manga (and the anime) is a romance that was a nice change of pace from the typical high-school stuff seen. It is one of the first manga I have ever read, and it is nice to look back on what has happened. Honestly, its a very cute and wholesome show with alot of feel good vibes, but it really is style over substance. The main romance with Hirotaka and Narumi seems much more like a friendship, and even the end doesn't feel very genuine. The cast is decent and varied enough, but in my eyes, the romance aspect feels somewhat forced for all the ...

story : everything is original, I have never come across this type of story before. the comedy stories are funny and there are stories that are not shown in the anime. the romance story is not as much as I thought but it was enough to make my heart tremble, the relationship of each character is romantic & not excessive. the scene is depicted with real.

art : I really like this one more than the others, the art style is very detailed & pleasing to the eye. I really like the colored pages because it makes my eyes comfortable and looks pretty.

characters: ...

I was excited to read something that finally had working adults as the center of romance. But after reading through the 3rd book I wasn't finding hardly any romance anywhere. Hirotaka and Narumi feel like a couple in name only, Koyanagi and Kabakura do nothing but fight and neg each other, and Ko and Naoya are barely feeling each other out.

The manga is also a bit annoying to read, as it'll have several unconnected plots going simultaneously, but not sequentially. So you'll have an A plot, follow by gags or one shots, followed by B plot, gags, then A plot again, B plot again, more ...

Wotaku ni koi wa muzukashii is one of my favorite manga. I re-read it all the time when I need a pick me up.

It's a comedic romance manga about anime/manga/gaming nerds. It's a light and nice read, and it's hilarious. The art is 10/10, and every character will make you laugh. But what I truly enjoyed about this manga is the chemistry among the characters. Seriously, the relationships are so cute (none of the angst and cliches). You really root for them. The story is very episodic and there isn't really a big overarching story behind the entire manga. But its great for a quick ...

Wotaku Ni Koi Wa Muzukashii was a minor letdown for me. I was mildly interested in the concept and decided to give it a try. In the first few chapters, I found the characters to be quite entertaining and mildly interesting at worst, so I thought I had found a new read. Except as I continued, I was sorely let down by the lack of plot development. The story is extremely slow and monotonous without anything new or interesting. While the characters did develop a little, it did not make up for the lack of plot. Of course, I could be entirely wrong. At the ...

TL DR Very cute and funny story, great characters, great art, great romance between the side characters, nice overall story, and an absolute failure of a romance between the two main characters.

Story is nice and light in tone, no angst, and it’s very funny. There’s not really a plot, it’s slice of life, but the pacing is pretty decent as it does jump a few weeks every chapter.

The romance between the two side characters has a very nice progression, with definite character development on both sides. If you’re looking for the romance part of the romcom, this is where you’ll find it, tho there’s ...

I had an amazing time reading the manga. Well of course, at first I watched the anime. And I must say, since the very first episode of the anime to the last chapter of the manga, this animanga has been an amazing thing to have come across. I didnt feel bored at all, not even for a second.

Okay, so where do I begin?

The protagonists' personalities were amazingly built and they seemed very practical as well. It was as if the plot could be imagined to be happening in real lives. I really loved how the animanga portrayed the struggles of a closet wotaku.

I really liked ...

I really liked the characters they had lot in common but different personalities i really loved kabakura and hanako. I honestly wish that there was more chapters but sadly there wasn't ill hope for more in the future i finished this manga in under 3-4 days. Im glad i wasted a whole spring break on it honestly best idea ever. Loved how most couples had their issues and kou finally being more open instead of freaking out hope i see that side more :) The comedy was the main thing that kept me going in that manga for sure but ...

Wotakoi is one of the most relatable and real manga I have read thus far.

Fujita’s construction of characters and interactions make for this story to be amazingly relatable to likewise ‘closet otakus’ like myself and perhaps many of you too. However, another layer of depth can be identified from the chain reaction of Fujita’s construction of the previously stated aspects. From these aspects, it causes the other side of the manga, which I find is amazing, able to be, that being the comedy in the story. Although Fujita’s panelling is indefinitely a large factor in the comedic factor of the manga, the characters and interactions ...

Too cute with so many heart fluttering scenarios and such a great read from beginning to end even after watching the anime!

All 3 relationships are so wholesome and at times relatable which make them impossible to love (∩˃ ᵕ ˂∩)♡ they seriously had me squealing and kicking my feet at 1am in the morning

If I could give a 9.5 rating on MAL I would, and the only reason it's not a 10 is because of the chapter layout. It's SOL so the plot jumps around a lot. Some of the storylines get told through separate moments chapters apart. All the stories that happened at the ...

You would think a story about a bunch of adult otakus working an office job is an underwhelming and mundane, right? That's what I thought too seeing it from a surface level, but never did I expect it would give more than just an office romance.

Although the story advertised itself as romance, it wasn't over the top as I expected (compared to other romance titles out there). In fact, I think I appreciated seeing the characters go about their daily lives in all its realness and simplicity. Whenever a romantic scene would come up, it would successfully tug at my heartstrings because those kinds ...

Honestly im just here to say that i really enjoyed this manga, i feel like i appreciated it more since i actually got to read it in physical form, which i havent been able to do with any other manga before. I feel like it made me appreciate the art alot more than just reading it online, and I must say that the art is incredible. All of the illustrations between the ''episodes'' as the author calls them, are really well made and just add to the characters.

This isnt a heavy romance manga. It's more lighthearted, theres no drama and everything goes in the way ...

Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii follows two couples, and close friends, who work desk jobs at an unnamed company. Very different on the outside, each of them are united by the fact that they are an 'Otaku'.

The term otaku is greatly overused in western pop-culture. To be clear, the definition I will be working with is: 'a young person who is obsessed with computers or particular aspects of popular culture to the detriment of their social skills.'

That being said, calling our MC's otaku is misleading. Each has social skills, and indeed, all are very popular at work, and 3 out of the 4 were ...

Feel in love with Wotaku because of the anime, and the manga is no exception! Story, Art and Characters are just as amazing (might even be better) then the anime! Let's get right into the basics.

Story; You follow Narumi Momose into her new workplace, getting a tour from the lovely Hanako Yoyanagi. Starting her new job because of a previously bad experience of everyone finding out she's an Wotaku. Hoping to have an ordinary work life while hiding her hobbies, she runs into her childhood friend Hirotaka Nifuji walking with Tarou Kabakura. Trying to play it cool, she invites him out to a meal while ...

The romcom for every weeb which will make you think "wow... wish I had a relationship like them" - if you don't have one already! If you like Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun this is the perfect manga for you.

Three couples of otakus, all with different dynamics and personalities in a kinda-episodic series. The author clearly knows what shes writing about - otaku culture like videogames, manga, anime, cosplay, BL, etc is portayed so realistically.

It doesn't have much romance and it's mostly comedy - which while may be a negative to some, it definitely makes the romance chapters a lot more impactful, where the relationships of ...

"Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku," "Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii," or simply "Wotakoi" is the essential, declassified, must-read manga for all Japanese-culture lovers who desperately yearn for the ultimate prize they can only imagine for themselves: a romantic relationship. Jokes aside, "Wotakoi" examines the perverse relationship sparked between Fujoshi Narumi Momose, and gaming maniac Hirotaka Nifuji after their reunion as co-workers since their childhood days in school. As the atmosphere settles between the two after an awkward confession, the two learn to navigate a life of work, anime, games, cosplay, socializing, and secrets.

The concept driving "Wotakoi" is nothing out of the ordinary. It ...
