I'd like to say that as a person whose manga whose not a fan of the shoujo or harem concepts, I do like romance manga when both characters are on equal grounds. And depsite both the manga two MC'S based on both those genre's love interest. This manga really works, due to being really funny first and heartfelt second.
So Kaguya wants to be confessed are about two overloud prideful characters having an attraction to one another but neither wants to be the submissive in this relationship and so a lot of mindgames an hijinxs follow. Already the story hits a bit of a one note,
...
and would most likely get repitive until you see the characters and their behviour. The fact that despite dealing the fact between a rich stuck-up girl and a know it all boy, the emotions feel like a couple of middle schoolers which works in the manga's favour. Every single shy moment won me over.Every joke had left me in chuckles, the fact that these ice cold MC'S are stripped down young love-struck kids really wowed on how good this manga is
If there's one thing the kept me from fulling praising it, its that like I said , it has a bit of a reathread, whilel each joke is unique in its own execution, the fact that manga is a bit of one note seems a bit troublesome. However after 20+ mark there does seem to be development for the side characters, so I do think it can change for the better
I suggest that anyone whose looking for the shoujo and harems stripped down to the basic sense of fun and hilarity. This would be right up your alley

So, After reading one of the best web manga I have ever seen and still continuing to read, you would thin how well the anime adaptation would turn out. Long story short: Surprisingly Well, if a bit rough around the edges.
So the story goes about one Kaizaki Arata, a 27 old man quiting his job within 3 months due to the incident and unable to find another living off as a NEET.However opportunity comes in when he's given a chance to experience one year of high school, with the benefit of receiving another hence ReLIFE
While the plot may seem like nothing special, the manga does
...
the best with it, and the anime fllows all the steps in a suprsingly deep fashion. The sad moments are heartfelt, the jokes lets out some handful of chuckles and mostly as a slice of life it does its best to be as relaxing and human as possible
However like I said , this anime isnt perfect, for one thing the music is a little overbearing, piano pieces kind of obstruct the silent moments instead of setting the mood. Also at least 4 episodes have the main characters sidelined for some female conflict drama which I felt was over-drawn and took more time out than necessary.
However lets just say the anime made up for it in the last 3 episodes which I feel are some of the best in the show, especially Ep 11.I would say the anime is recommended just for those alone.
One of the big things holding ReLIFE back is that its a 13 Episode Anime of a still ongoing web manga, and it clearly has more things it needs to resolve. Anime's like these have a rare chance of getting a second season, which is certainly a gamble. However I feel if the anime and manga are just as beloved as they are now. There might be a chance. Here's to hoping a second and final season to this charming series, it clearly deserves it

When I first touch this series, I was curious on why it was so beloved on the website, with a title like that. And I after taking one night of binge reading, this has become one of my favourite love stories of all of manga.
So the plot is that a loner of a guy gets mistaken for a molester by a traumatized woman and after solving misunderstandings they strike up a friendship. Thats it , that all the information related to the title, and when you continue to reading, you realize how little that matters, Even the woman has little to do in the story
...
and gets demoted to side character. But once you take this nd follow the romance, you realize this is a completely different beast altogether, and a beautiful one at that.
The hook is the romance, and trust me this is one of the most glorious, heart breaking and yet satisfying romance stories I have ever read. The main male lead is so likable, and that same time humorously weak minded, the kind of character whose no a push-over but a naive soul. The love interest is down to earth gorgeous, she oozes likability to the point you dont want to let her go.
As soon as I finished it , I wanted to return to it, because this felt like a roller coaster ride I never wanted to end, part of me wants a sequel , but another part feels so satisfied .i urge anyone looking for a beautiful love story to give this one a shot. You wont be dissapointed

Finally ,a romantic group I can route for .And their all otakus.
So this is basically a story of two workers meeting for the first time since middle school working in the same company and through weird circumstances , they decide to start dating.Yea, it might no me much to go on, but after getting that curve ball out of the way, this is when the manga starts to become awesome.
So the characters are your basic- Moody gamer, short anime chick,otaku-shy tough guy and glasses cosplay girl and this manga makes the most of it. The former and the later are probably some of the best
...
and funniest couples I have ever read. The personal moments are downright touching. The references and callbacks feel really interwoven.Hard to believe that this manga was created on pixiv hobby, because its too good.
I've been looking so long for a comic this funny and this romantic. If you want to see an okatu style romance story with a lot of heart. This is your cup of tea

At first glance, had picked this story up thinking it would be a nice view into the daily lives of a weird couple and I came out in both ways.A Yes and a no.
Bonnouji is a about a 26-old working girl being broken up by her partner of 5 years, and wanders drunk to her tennant house looking for a bathroom. And we are introdueced to the main chracter and the titular room and its weird eccentricities.
On the surface the troy feels naturally flowing the two leads have nice chemistry , the play along with the Bonnouji element very relaxed and it
...
doesn't add more than it needs too. The couple aspect has a sense of balance which in its throughout progression and playfulness and its sense of enjoyment.
However 2 things stick to me which makes me thoroughly enjoy this series. Its time scale and its focus on the couple. The manga plays recklessly with the timescale , bu which what feels like a week of enjoyment is already 2 years. Also I wish the couple aspect had more open minded result, though that could be excused for the manga's short lifespan. The ending however well a bit haphazard did at least leave me satisfied.
Overall, its a good read though one which wont be held with the best of other slice of life reads. I d give this a 7.5 , for at least the fun curiosity it left me with

Cute.
That's the one word the manga keeps using, and I feel thats the best way to describe this story.Cute visuals, cute storylines, cute moments. Its more a passive look at a normal romance, but honestly thats good once in a while.
A story of a shy girl pushed into doing romantic tasks at the hands of a love goddess, sounds chaotic at first notice, but this focus less on the drama and more on the reaction.I do like the couple, and seeing how the story dwells into each romantic moments of high school dating without complicating things seems genuinely charming.
At 30 Chapters, I felt it covers all its
...
feelings and reactions at a nice amount and I recommend this to anyone just looking for a light read, but a relaxing take on romance

If there's anything that oldschool manga has taught me, its that Japanese love their insanity style of humour and potraying it in a martial arts manga.Despite an underwhelming story and standard-fare characters, its art and humour more than make up for it.
The story is that Noritaka is a 1st year High School tying to get rid of his middle school rep and impress the model female student. But after a series of lucky breaks which unfortunately end in a misstep causing the girl to reject him for being weak,Mortiaka must learn martial arts to survive in this school and gain the affection of the girl once
...
again
So as its plainly obivous, Moritaka is pretty much the weak kid become strong story and as such nothing you havent seen inother manga has been introduced..The hero is a wuss, the girl is pretty much eye candy and all the opponents are douches per day types. It all pretty standard.
However the saving grace like I said is the artstyle and insane humour.Moritaka pulls no punches , apeing go nagai format of rndom pop humour with awesome caricatures of the characters.Almost every girl except the love intrest is intentionally ugly, the villains are all steroid induced muscle jockeys .The comic literally pulls foreginers as opponent. and even the artstyle is more playful with itself.Whether being an MC Hammer reference, or the fact that female lead's breast get bigger to the pleasure of Moritaka's opponents. The whole comic is built on satirizing the shonen fightng archtype.
If you can look past the lacklustre story and derivative characters,I would suggest checking it out.Its worth a note for such a carefree note of 90's manga

I really didn't want to be too harsh to this series, because honestly I think its alright for what it does, but the fact that this is a spin-off of an amazing manga rather than it's own thing really makes this manga less special than the concept allows it
Handa-Kun is a story of Handa-Seishu , a prodigy calligrapher who has a basic problem fitting in with the people around and his treatment with them and so hi-jinx ensues. If you didn't realize by now , this plot is eerily similar to its predecessor "Barakamon" .The difference being that instead of being treated a odd goofball
...
city slicker whose a lot of fun to be with, Here is pretty the perfect student whose good-licking popular level-headed , and just the perfect model student when it reality he's a loner. And pretty much all my problems land with that.
The characterization of Handa is jarringly different from the original in that Barakamon tries to show him as a stick in the mud, who needs to appreciate the carefree nature of life to experience individuality and a sense of freedom. But in this manga portrays him as a saint-figure who just lucks into opportunities, which doesn't help that it gets repeated again and again with each chapter.
Sad part is most of the rest of the manga is genuinely interesting, with a fun group of supporting cast, though not on par with Barakamon still have some moments of enjoy-ability here and there.
And it hurts to see the main issue of this manga to me, is coming of the original, where instead of having a realistic adult view point of a main character going through the tribulations of lifestyles in a countryside ,we have a generic guy who has greatness tossed onto him as gags. Its just not as funny as should be if the character isn't original
I want to give it a 6.5, but Ill give it a 7 because it feels like it can overcome this hurdle but still not amount to something truly special

There is something, yet feels like nothing and yet I still want more
Thats my basic impression to this series. I want to like it a lot, but there are too many things that push it for me perfect or even good.Yet it demands you to continue.
Mushoku Tensei is one of the newest entries into the fantast seriesthat has become a nice niche for me. However unlike other titles that had their own charms ( Dungeon Meshi or Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) with only minor hiccups, these one seems to match its sense of enjoyment with its sense of revulsion.
The main story is about a
...
34 Neet person, who after losing his parents and regarded by his peers as garbage, is killed off saving some people and reincarneted as a young child in a fantasy setting to his pleasure.
And thats itself points the charm and flaws of the premise. The MC has his memory of his past live ( a disguisting , perverted ,shameless person) put in the position of his own benefits. He is a miracle kid who has situations and outcomes make him great with him being the greast mage and swordfight er progidy., and as such comes of as obnoxious. The boy literally learns everything perfectly but just putting his mind to it. No process , no win/loss scenario .Just perfect Miracle kid.And the fact that manga keeps shoving into my face that he is in fact a 34 year old man in a 6 year old kid's body
The fan service comes of as repugnant as well with the MC moments with his mother, his best friend , his tutor, his cousin, his aunt . At the story shows that he gets it from his father, who cheated on his wife with a maid and the manga asks us to accept it.
And even though I should hate that in the manga, there are still moments of positive with the book like his " Taming of the Shrew" arc with his cousin. Even the art is too good for this sort of thing, with beautiful designs and images.
I wanted to like this book but at the same time I dont want to like it either. It feels like To Love Ru if the MC is a scumbag with the best luck in the world.Yet it is deeper than any harem comics has any need to be.
While I still continue to read it to see how it goes (Its adapted from a best seller visual novel, WTH?), I would not recommend this to any fan of fantasy. Only touch this it would you can keep your sanity in check

Talk about a manga, that started low and never moved. Tsujiura-san to Chupacabra was a romance manga, that really just wanted to have the word romance in it and nothing else.
My first reaction:NISEKOI RIP-Off ( and I dont even like Nisekoi to begin with and I could see this a mile away)
So the story of Tsujiura-San being a beautiful ass-kicking beast of a girl who makes a random nobody into her boyfriend to hide her rep is nothing speial. In fact its quite stale and even her love for finding wierd unexplained mysteries seems cliche and overdone.
On top of that, there are barely
...
anything else to gravitate to .The rivals are all one dimensional and overused, there are no family members (apart from the overused snob little sister) and it doesnt do anything special that any other manga hasnt done before.
The only time it had any semblence of likability was when the two main boys started a rock band, which was a bit funny.Too bad the next chapter was the final one.
And Im glad it did, this felt like a manga that overstayed its welcome, by 30 chapters. And trust me ,If you're looking for a new take on Romance in this day and age, you wont find it here
