- The main characters are both ex-hitmen trying to live a normal life - A lot of goofy and funny humor, occasional dad jokes - Likeable side characters

(other way around cause MaL coding is ass) Essentially similar situations where MCs half-retire from the yakuza world and find themselves challenged as they've become regular citizens. I really recommend The Fable as it has an amazing balance of chill SoL mixed with profound yakuza-surroundings where MC has to interfere in other to avoid consequences, furthermore the cast solely consists of adults if you're tired of annoying children lol

Both are about extremely strong assassins that are living in an ordinary environment. Teenage Mercenary tends to be a bit more over the top while The Fable is more realistic and methodical but both are really good.

Both main plots are about hitmen and their lives. Mc's have psychological issues.

- Both are very similar in setup - Hinamatsuri goes for the comedy/slice of life while Fable turns more serious.

my Home hero is about a regular man who becomes a murderer whereas the fable is about a a murderer(a hitman exactly) who wants to become a regular man. My home hero has some good intense moments, with some creative ways to mask a crime while also showing how people will murder for the ones they care for. The fable on the other hand features an interesting, comedic mc, with some overall good action making it lean more to the shonen side compared to my home hero

Most of their similarities can't be further from the truth, but I find the way they structure their dialogue in a possibly the same structure - They have a lot of "Show Don't Tell" moments, where things can easily be figured out with a flow of dialogue instead of a full blown pages of exposition - Even though it seems not related at times, but most of the dialogue handles by their characterscan be highly relavent to the characters' motivation and personalities -The way they set up jokes are also very similar If you find Chainsaw Man dialogue charming, The Fable will be a great read  read more

Similar vibes and mafia world

Both of these manga focus on a hitman who has an unlikely double life

Same concept with an overpowered character that only shows off a few times in the story and only a handful of characters know about him. Meanwhile he pretends to be a weakling wagie. No fantasy stuff here, just the world's #1 assassin taking a vacation dealing with maffia like it's a walk in the park. More serious than One Punch-Man, world & characters are very different. But the premise and the story structure has similarities: enemy appears --> protagonist deals with it --> very few people realize it was him --> chill & fun --> new enemy appears. Like a slice of life version of One-Punch Man,  read more

A focus on protagonists trying to leave a life of crime and be upstanding citizens, while constantly involuntarily getting involved with criminals due to their past or the way they carry themselves at present.

similar artstyle similar setting (less realistic but still feels grounded) somewhat similar plot (assassins and ninjas) goofier comedy though not exactly slapstick

Both mangas are comedies where main character is a former gang/mafia member and must blend in with normal society while hiding his real power level.

Both of these series deal with assassins that are just, off kilter as hell, I don't know any other way to put it TBH. If you like the unhinged personality of either of this MCs you will like the other series.
