Both have similar storylines that follow the love between a girl and a forest spirit. Short and sweet, these oneshots are touching and beautifully drawn.

Both of the male characters are spirits who lives in tree and they come and go as the season. Another similar thing is that the girls in these two manga both lost something very important at the end, but at the same time gained something important.

Same Auther , both male character are plants who fell in love with a girl but can't Stay together , anyway Kon no ki konoha is more touching .

I must say, that for me - personaly - the greatest similarity is one thing : I really was touched. The Endings are amazing. It gives you a very strange feeling, that nearly wants to make you cry. Both Stories are drawn from the same person (Yumeka, Sumomo), that why I guess the touch is so euqal. Both deal with romance, but in a very special way. These two stories are so loving, even though one hast to considerate how short they are. But I find this just gives them even more, this unique, deep and touching feeling that flows right into you, as soon as you've  read more

Both are one-shots about a ghost/spirit boy that gets attached to a girl. While Kon no Kii Konoha is more romantic, Obake Life is more horror.

They are both short stories with a very similar atmosphere. They both share melancholic bittersweet plots and delicate romance with a quite tragic end. They're both great mangas.

Another very unconventional love story about two beings of different species

Both are short shoujo romance one-shots. Both deal with spirits, but while in Kon no Ki Konoha the spirit is a boy, in Ba-thump Ba-thump Diary the spirit is a girl.

Similarities: + Unique, magical relationships between a human girl and non-human man + Similar mixes of a little comedy and drama with a nice, heartwarming atmosphere Differences: - Kon no Ki Konoha is only a one shot - Mahou Tsukai no Yome has much more of a focus on magic and spells, magical creatures, and the main character has a darker past

Ki Konoha is a one shot, Shokugyou Tenshi is a volume with several oneshots. The first story of Shokugyou Tenshi is about a tree, just like what the one shot Ki Konoha is about.

Both are very sweet, heartfelt Yumeka Sumomo oneshots about a girl who meets and forms an emotional connection with a boy who turns out to be not entirely ordinary -- and not exactly human.

Both are bittersweet short fantasies about children making friends with spirits of nature, and growing up alongside them.

"Kon no ki Konoha" and the "Anywhere But Here" one shot "Willow Tree" are both dramatic and sentimental stories about tree spirits.
