Two good sci-fi titles in which a team of humans are sent to fight an alien threat equipped with technological enhancements to even out the odds. 

Gory series with revolving casts, centered around an uphill battle between powered humans and strange beasts. 

Terra Formars and Gantz are Seinen action manga. They both have Sci-Fi elements and involve humans fighting monsters/aliens they know little about using sci-fi weapons and powers given to them. The characters in both are never safe as many are frequently injured/killed when fighting because the enemy becomes stronger each time. If you enjoyed one of them and are looking for another manga which is just as explicit, gory and violent then I'd definitely recommend that you read the other! 

A small group of people is fighting a threat that might kill all of humanity, they are the only hope we have left. That's the bad news, the good news is that they are becoming stronger and might just be able to pull it off. Ready far a stunning story with a dark setting and lots of fighting for your life? Then start reading these manga right away! 

It has alot of similarities to gantz. The team's in both mangas get scifi weaponry and abilities to fight the enemies. Gantz is mysterious and random with the alien enemies while the Terraformar cockroaches are the primary enemies but with hints at mysterious origins. There is alot of gore in both mangas, alot of people are killed off, and the enemies try to adapt and overpower the humans as much as possible. In some aspects the artstyle feels similiar as well. 

Both series deal with fighting Aliens from another planet, interesting stories for the both with some badass fights.  

Both have crazy amount of violence, extremely terrifying aliens, etc. 

-Humans fighting monsters for land -In both humans are losing the battle -Humans use unique ways to kill monsters and turn into monsters -The monsters in both don't talk and are seemly mindless -Both like attacking humans -reasons for killing the humans is just to kill them so far -Monsters change in weird ways later in show -Both have the same feel to them  

Shingeki no Kyojin and Terra Formars takes place in fictional worlds where there are monsters at war with them that threatens their existence. The main male protagonists also has a dark past with tragedy that made them become whom they are in the present. Among it horror and sci-fi/fantasy elements, both series also explores relationships between comrades on the battlefield. There is a distinctive amount of violence represented in both series to show the grim reality of their war. Both series' main antagonists also has mysterious origins in regards to their psychology, abilities, and motivations.  

Humanity is facing it's biggest challenge yet, a threat that might kill all humans on earth. The main theme for both of these series is exactly that. Humanity has to fight for it's survival. Both manga feature a group of main characters that are among the few that fight for the survival of man kind. This is not your ordinary story, the maincharaters are far from indestructible, because the threat they face is beyond most peoples' power. If you like stories where the characters have to fight for survival and are the only hope for savior, than these series are for you! 

similar misterious story, with gore and death everywhere 

Despite taking place in different time setting and worlds, Claymore and Terra Formars adapts horror fiction. The main characters have supernatural abilities with a thirst for vengeance relating to past events. The conflicts they get involved with others makes them become who they are and this develops over time as more tragedy unfolds. Both series adapts graphic violence to craft the sense of horror to deliver their message. The colorful cast of characters from both series are also organized in teams to complete missions.  

In both of these manga humankind has ti fight yet another threat that might cause it's extinction but in Terra formars that threat is coming from outer space. If you like mysterious settings with violence and blood them these manga are just perfect for you! If you liked one of them I'm lretty sure you will enjoy the other one as well!  

Well evolved and adapted monsters that terrorize the human race. Humans as a last resort make genetic changes of there own to match up with the ongoing threat. Both manga's show the struggles of living in a chaotic time, trying to protect loved ones and to stop what seems impossible. The two stories indulge in graphic fighting scenes and devastating loses. 

Despite them being different when it comes to the story, they do have one big similarity: The characters, in TF the people who fly to Mars, in Arachnid the people of the oragnisation, are able to use the abilities of different insects and spiders. They use them to fight - in both manga. 

The fighting in both manga revolves around themes of insects/animals and fights usually have narration of the abilities of animals and insects. 

Both have lots of very violent fighting and many characters die off throughout both stories. 

Despite following a different premise, Eden no Ori and Terra Formars exploits the fundamentals of survival horror. Both series aims at a cast of characters who are thrown into an environment where their lives are at stake. Additionally, their abilities are tested when facing powerful beasts. For Terra Formars, they primarily focus a mysterious species of giant humanized cockroaches while Eden no Ori has a wide variety of dangerous creatures. Nonetheless, survival horror becomes a main trope as we see how their story unfold with mysteries.
