Both manga involve Japanese teenagers gaining supernatural powers. Some characters in both series are quite similar to each other (Yusuke & Josuke, Kuwabara & Okuyasu, etc.). They can also get quite dark and grim by Shonen Jump standards, although "Diamond" has a lot more bizarre/wacky moments. Both were also written in the '90s.

Both series contain very likeable characters, violent battles & a great sense of mystery. While Dorohedoro revolves around devil worshiping sorcerers, it does have the same level of "wtf bizarre moments" as JoJo. Part 4 of JoJo doesn't have the same scale of mystery as Dorohedoro but does have the same laid back attitude.

These two good works have these points in common: -People fighting against each other -Weird creatures, in JoJo they have the spirits called stands, in Zatchbell the demons called mamodos -Each fighter have their own hability -Long duration, centered in the main characters, but with enough time for the secondary enemies and allies -Both main characters have in common an absent dad, and a strong will of fighting -The fights are tough, and no one wins one without effort -They fight for some good purposes

Both manga are about teenagers who encounter crazy enemies and fight them by summoning monsters. Also both series are somewhat episodic/monster of the week (only the beginning in YGO is episodic though). Both manga have silly character designs and crazy haircuts.

Hey Everyone this is a Recommendation for Jojos Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 6. Okay what should I say, only one thing. AMAZING. we are talking about Manga and I already know and it’s not even out yet that part 6 Anime will be as good as the Manga. Plots of these two mangas take place in one town that has become the center of bizarre, supernatural phenomenons. Both of plots are filled with creative action sequences and surreal at times humor.

Set in a small town, the main hero possesses the power to manifest avatars that serve to assist their user. As time progresses, the protagonist becomes more involved in a serial murder mystery, gathering acquaintances with similar powers to assist in the ordeal. The group travels between their reality and a parallel purgatory-like world in order to find clues pertaining to the ever-ephemeral killer. As they get closer to the truth, the wontedly cool-headed protagonist and his band of mostly high school friends find that searching for the killer is not the only thing they must worry about, but also how to prevent widespread chaos  read more

I could recommend any JoJo series for starters, but Diamond is unbreakable is the part that mostly matches with houshin engi, since the characters are really charismatic... maybe the drawings are really different, but the feeling of the series are almost the same.

Action series that feature plenty of unique creative superpowers/abilities.

In this city, people start to develop random superpowers and use them for all kinds of things - to kick out boredom, to do evil deeds and even to become heroes. As the main character become friends with a former enemy, the plot suddenly thickens. The pacing is kinda slow in some parts, but instead of being bothersome, this helps you to get used to the characters and to care about them.
