A successful attempt in coming across a unique isekai. [spoilers from the first chapter]
Allow me to explain,
MC's Personality :
He's been considered a failure. 'Disqualification' is the word. Now he isn't going to take up rapid motivation after getting isekai'd into a fantasy world. However, he does find a reason to live. His motive is to commit double suicide with his lover, whom he suspects of getting teleported to the same world as well. There are negative vibes and he remains unfazed. Dazai is non-serious throughout the journey, at least how far i have read. I love the lightheartedness that comes along with sweet humor.

To be honest, I've just been binge reading the countless generic isekais that are out there- so when I jumped into Isekai Shikkaku, I really was not expecting much, other than your typical isekai with a gimmick thrown in.
And indeed while this story does start out like many others- it starts to show its own unique style later on, not really focusing the actual fight scenes or the level progression aspects of Isekai but instead on the "stories" of characters in this world and in some cases how they may continue to unfold, all the while being careful not to take itself too seriously. ... a manga so refreshing to read, it makes me want to start a YouTube channel so I can express how good it is to a larger audience. Although Dazai would probably tell me that if I'm so inspired, after doing that I should use that feeling to write something original of my own.
an aged, actual adult man with life experience who has the body of an adult instead of a teen in a world that just can't seem to let him have his simple wish of a sweet death. leaving a job half finished would irk him, but when your double suicide ends up with ... Oct 7, 2022
Isekai genre is often criticized for being too much of a power-fantasy, making any obstacle the hero face on their path barely relevant, and the villains' bragging only manage to make readers roll their eyes and skimp the pages; thus, it only makes sense to assume that solving this issue is key to making a good Isekai that can actually standout the test of time as something above decent.
This manga destroy that thought by doing none of that and still somehow becoming one of the best manga I've ever read. How, you may ask? The keyword is the execution. The "hero"'s suicidal tendency along with his ... Jan 2, 2025
Osamu Dazai, author of "no longer human", One of the fathers of modern Japanese literature, chronically depressed, women magnet, talked four different women into committing couples suicide with him, they all died but for him it only took on the fifth attempt where he tied himself to his lover and both jumped into the river in 1948.
Take that guy and throw him into a trashy light novel isekai. It sounds like it shouldn't work as Dazai is a very gloomy, suicidal kind of guy. His famous novel /no longer human/ is not something you can read if you're not in a good head space... However the ... |
