To be honest, I've just been binge reading the countless generic isekais that are out there- so when I jumped into Isekai Shikkaku, I really was not expecting much, other than your typical isekai with a gimmick thrown in.
And indeed while this story does start out like many others- it starts to show its own unique style later on, not really focusing the actual fight scenes or the level progression aspects of Isekai but instead on the "stories" of characters in this world and in some cases how they may continue to unfold, all the while being careful not to take itself too seriously.

Taking care not to give out any spoilers, I highly recommend to continue reading this manga until you get to chapters 7-8 to see what I'm talking about. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the subplots/miniarcs this story has given me so far.
While this manga is far from being complete as of now, it's exciting to see such a unique take on the isekai genre unfold, as well as actually taking the time to set up main plot in the future. It may be a bit too early to completely judge this manga as a whole, from what I've read so far, this manga has some superb storytelling, while still maintaining this certain level of lightheartedness.
