So the Abandoned Empress was probably one of the first Korean webtoons I've ever read, and was what probably dragged me down into the manhwa hole that I haven't gotten out of yet.
Story (7/10): Well, I've read sooo many reincarnation stories at this point and TAE is probably one of the better ones and it has a really interesting premise, because (I think) TAE was one of the first manhwa to make the MC the villainess (don't quote me on that- it was one of the first I've read way back before villainess manga started flooding my page) and I love the story. -Art -Carsein and the father (the only characters I liked) The whole premise was for the female lead to be a strong female knight. She tried so hard and after a while, the female lead literally was weak even at the end. People were always getting hurt for her while she couldn't do anything which frustrated me. Also, the male lead was a jerk in their previous life. Yes, he may have changed but he only changed after the female lead wasn't interested in him/was scared of him in the beginning. The abandoned Empress, an Isekai seen by the eyes of a suporting character (you understand rigth? XD) this is how i saw it first. I really have mixed feelings with this story specially because of the end.
Story: 3. The story can be good but at the same time horrible. Imagine this– you just got cucked by a random chick that appeared out of the blue, the man you love r*ped you, he also killed your unborn child and your father and oh, he also executed you.
You were given a chance to be reincarnated and time travel only to fall in love and marry the same fucking guy again. What the HELL. Thank goodness I dropped this series when I read the ending after 5 chapters because I knew something fishy was going on and the pacing just seems like it favors the blue haired prince. This story is mentally disturbing. I mean when you think that, "strip", " Killing baby ", " Licking shooes ", " Killing her" Moments And the truma she had endured by emperor someone will think that she will hate him.Any reasonable person would hate that person in each timeline. And she herself said that , " If she given a second chance she will not love him(emperor) " . Well this story does not resolve how real love should be?.

the manwha takes on the generic troupe for the villainess to be MC but manage to shows how much of a victim the MC was and how putrid the people surrounded her to be. It was an amazing first few chapter with a clear villain to the story and how we root for the MC.
i really love the deconstruction take of the typical troupe the story manage to do in the early part of the story. You get to see the psyche of each character and finding out who truly loves the MC and wasnt do it to save himself. With fairly good art ...

In general I liked it.
The manhwa had a hasty end, according to the publisher, so the story itself could not narrate the true events of the past, or clarify them, the story is not about the protagonist staying with the man who hurt her, rather, both were victims in the past, for the political interests of the true villain, who was barely shown. I read the novel and it has a certain degree of realism and emotional complexity in showing the characters only from Aristia's point of view, but the manhwa fell short in that regard by having to summarize the story. That is the worst manhwa I ever read, the only recommendation is to run away from this as soon as possible. I just cannot understand how the MC could forgive and even fall back in love with a person who treated her and her dad so badly in a previous life. That’s an unforgettable thing. And not only she forgives him, she falls in love with him again. Aren’t there no men in this Empire? Was it the only option? So now just seeing this blue haired mf gives me a huge trigger.
