Y'ALL. YOU MUST READ THIS MANGA.
God, the second I found this manga I was so invested. Plot was great from the get go. I love how the two main characters interacted, I love the rest of the cast. But you know my favorite thing about this manga (besides Yamada)? Every single drama point gets resolved within a couple chapters. There are no stupid misunderstandings; there is always some level of communication between Akane and Yamada, and it is a joy to read.
Ok, now can we talk about the art? Art, lowkey mid at the beginning, but IT GETS SO GOOD towards the middle. I
...
screenshot these panels so often, I reread this stuff so often just to look at how beautiful the art is. I could go on about it for hours.
Long story short, there's a reason I bought every single volume available when I went to Japan last summer. Such a masterpiece and now I will go back and reread it for the 30th time.

So this is the thing about this anime. **some spoilers***
I am SUCH a sucker for isekai, villainess, reincarnation stories (as evident from my anime and manga lists, that's all I read these days) and I had heard about this one even before it got an anime adaptation so I was like hey, that's cool! And I tried to like this, I swear I did. It's a great villainess reincarnation story, the soundtrack was fitting, voice acting was great, and the art and animation were all nice to look at. You know the problem I had with this anime? Everything was just so c r i
...
n g e y-- like all these lines Pride says to her adopted brother (also what was the deal with that? bro got kidnapped and forced to be a prince and he was sad for a little bit but i'm confused why he was okay with it later), her knight, the criminal guy, they were supposed to be very, heartfelt, emotional, empathetic lines but all I felt was cringe and embarrassment. Like I like cliche lines but they were just so cringey that I couldn't help but actually screech when watching it. I love the trope, I love the execution of OP female MC, but man, the show was just so cringey that it lowkey hurt to watch it.
So did I enjoy it? Occasionally. But would not recommend if you're not into some reverse harem type of stuff, if you cringe easily... but you know, feel free to give it a try. If the first few episodes don't make you cringe, then maybe you can handle the rest of the series.

The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation is possibly one of THE best stories I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. From start to finish the show will keep you on your toes and leave you PLEADING for the next episode. I watched the first and second seasons roughly 2 years ago, instantly fell in love with the series, and proceeded to find all the material of it I could. I read the manhua, watched the live action, and cried over every single WangXian song there was. But after a while, I grew out of the phase, and decided to check out some other works of
...
MXTX where I then proceeded to cry over TGCF. But. This new season has reminded me from episode 1 what made me fall so in love with this show, and now I need to talk about it.
Story: 9/10 - the story is absolutely exhilarating, with tension-filled arcs all leading towards the climax. I never read the source material, but with my experience with the live action where I felt like sometimes the arcs got dragged on a bit too much, I walked into this expecting Yi City arc to be the whole entire season but I was pleasantly surprised. I think the story is well-paced based on my enjoyment, but I do think that some may have wished for Xue Yang's story to be a bit longer as it was hard to connect with him in the short amount of time with the donghua.
Art: 100000/10. Absolutely STUNNING. I believe that MDZS's animation is better than over 90% of the animated studios in Japan, maybe even on par with Ufotable. Everything is just so gorgeous: the rivers, the plants, the buildings - and the animation is not any worse. When Wei Wuxian slices his hand on the sword and summons all the zombies and there's green and red everywhere- I GOT CHILLS. And the animation when Wuxian and Wangji are on the rooftops and it flashbacks to their time at Gusu and back - iTS SO PRETTY TwT
Sound: 9/10. It didn't stand out to me as much as the last two seasons did, and nothing can beat the opening and ending songs of last season (the song that ended the last episode of second season? makes me cry every time), but it's still very good and fits all the scenes well. Of course, Wuxian's flute and Wangji's zither are as good as ever. We also get to hear Xichen's instrument (I don't really know what it is) and it sounds great as well.
Character: Ok so I could go on and talk about Wei Wuxian for hours because of how much I ADORE him, but I'll keep it brief: Wei Wuxian is one of the best characters ever to have graced my eyes. His three-dimensional ness makes him SO alive- there are moments here and there when you can see the look in his eyes and it just makes my heart hurt so much- HE DIDN'T DESERVE EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED TO HIM. I could also talk about WangXian for hours but the dynamic between Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian is literally the best thing ever to exist. Every time someone tries to sneak an attack on Wuxian and Wangji is the one that deflects the blow, I swoon. They learn to support and lean on each other, and it's an absolute joy to see their dynamic every episode. 10/10 (all the other characters are great too but the main cast just outshines everyone else)
Enjoyment: Could you tell? 10/10 this show is such a masterpiece. If there is anything to take away from this review, it's that this show is a masterpiece and a MUST WATCH. What are you doing reading this review? Go watch MDZS. Then go read the manhua. Then go watch the live action. This show is one that will hook you in from the very first episode and won't let go.

So the Abandoned Empress was probably one of the first Korean webtoons I've ever read, and was what probably dragged me down into the manhwa hole that I haven't gotten out of yet.
Story (7/10): Well, I've read sooo many reincarnation stories at this point and TAE is probably one of the better ones and it has a really interesting premise, because (I think) TAE was one of the first manhwa to make the MC the villainess (don't quote me on that- it was one of the first I've read way back before villainess manga started flooding my page) and I love the story. Sometimes
...
it gets dragged on a little bit and the story starts to get a little redundant at certain points like the same scenes are happening over and over again, but at those moments my heart just clenches up because I feel so bad for the MC :( Yeah, I think TAE has one of the better villainess reincarnation stories out there.
Art (10/10): There's nothing else to say about the art except for the fact it's brilliant. Absolutely stunning. The artist did an amazing job.
Character (8/10): I love the characters in TAE, and even the seemingly simple characters actually have a different side to them and a complicated past, but the main character Aristia really undergoes amazing character development, from a icy woman to somebody who develops such a bright smile. I love seeing what she does in every chapter, though of course, she is your dense MC.
Enjoyment (9/10): I really enjoyed TAE, and although the chapters are coming out a lot slower now, I'll wait forever. *^*

I've been reading so many isekai and reincarnation manga lately lol, but I really enjoyed this manga ^^
Story (8/10): Pretty ordinary honestly. It's about a girl who gets transported to another world and turns out to be overpowered. If it was just about her life adjusting to the world, I probably would not have enjoyed it as much. However, there were several different plot twists along the way that I really, thoroughly enjoyed. And this manga really shows that being transported to another world is not just all fun and games; with power comes responsibility. Also, although there's no romance tag, there is a little
...
bit of romance involved, which I loved. :3
Art (9/10): Beautiful. The art was great. Nothing was out of proportion, eyes were drawn great, smiles were cute and heavenly when they had to be. The only thing I have to say against the art were the character designs. They were a bit too generic. All the knights were basically drawn the exact same besides the main few and so the main character would call them different names but I still couldn't tell who was who. But there were bishies everywhere, which was great x3
Character (6/10): Now this was probably where this manga lacked the most in. Every character had such an ordinary personality. There wasn't much character development involved. Most of the characters had a like-able personality, and all the villains were those you didn't like. There weren't any characters that you couldn't help loving even though they were hated. But I'm used to these kinds of characters so it didn't stop my enjoyment of this manga lol.
Even though this manga was pretty ordinary and didn't stand out much from those similar to it, all the twists and turns of this which combined like 5 different manga I knew into one was great. But I understand that this manga is not for everyone. If you really notice and pay attention to character development and personalities, then I'd skip this one. But if you're a sucker for op people and op romance, then go for this manga! Overall, I enjoyed this manga a lot and would recommend it to others.

Just because I feel the need to rant about this. Beware of spoilers.
Besides the fact that half of the pages were gone on the website I was reading this on, I still got the gist of this manga. And I want to cry and rip my hair out at the same time.
The story was very promising. I, personally, love reading cliche plots because to me they rarely get old, but like, it has to be executed properly. Trying not to get into too many spoilers, the story is about a girl who was adopted by her parents, and then they soon adopt another
...
boy. But she's dating this rich kid, and so this rich kid is not very happy when the main character gets close to her adoptive brother. So out of jealousy (he's so petty oml) he kicks this adoptive brother to England to study.
Flash forward to 5 years later. They meet again, and many things had happened in this protagonist's life, and I'm pretty sure half of these events were only used as a plot device so that she could seem like a strong older sister... I felt like all these things were being thrown into my face with no content whatsoever. Of course, that may also be because a lot of pages were missing, but it felt so disjointed i was like what is going on??
Although I really enjoy the premise of the entertainment industry and the struggles it brings, I think it takes for a really good idea.
I wouldn't say that the art was incredible, but it was still okay. It was pretty good actually, I noticed a lot of good things about the art and nothing seemed incredibly un-proportional to me.
So here's where everything goes downhill... the characters. I love strong female protagonists. In fact, that's my favorite kind of manga, where the female protagonist's are independent. So I enjoyed this part of the female protagonists' personality. Everything else, however, was poor. I constantly wanted to cry while reading this. The rich kid she dates has the most poor personality ever, he was so petty and so jealous half of the time and I didn't really get much else from him, but then suddenly he loses his memories of ONLY her?? The other guy in the love triangle was not as bad, I actually liked the depth behind his personality and how he wasn't just a shallow popular kid, but after being stuck in England for 5 years he's the most popular celebrity?? AND THEN THE MAIN CHARACTER. FOR FREAKING SAKE. Sure, you're strong and sure, you know how to handle yourself and take care of other people. In fact, I admire your independence. But like, why are you so freaking indecisive?? CAN'T YOU PICK ONE GOD DANG GUY? You literally hugged and kissed one guy and threw the other one out, and then five chapters later you threw that guy away and realized you loved the other one? Are you really that indecisive? Like you give this guy hope that there's mutual love and then you ruin all his hopes and dreams. This relationship got me so frustrated while reading this. I normally adore love triangles and the drama it brings, but man, this was going over the top.
I enjoyed it okay. I would have enjoyed it so much more if not for the characters. It had so much potential I'm just so frustrated that it could have been executed so much better.
You can read this manga if you'd like. It's actually not that bad, I wish that I had been able to read the missing pages though. Just be prepared for the stress and frustration it causes you.

You see how there are 5 member favorites for Suijin? Yeah, one of them's me :D
There are no words to describe how much I love this manga. I first found it at, what, midnight one night? And I ended up reading it till 3 o'clock. This is a fantastic manga that just hooks you in right from the start. What's more, SUIJIN IS SO AMAZING I LOVE HIM SO MUCH >w<
Story: When you first start this manga, you think, "Oh, it's just another 'girl who crosses over into another world' manga." But, it may be about that, but it's also so much more. The
...
story just keeps you on the edge of your seat, anticipating what's going to happen next. You can't stop reading it. For all those historical romance fans, this is the perfect manga for you. (Like me :'D)
Art: Rei Toma's art style is incredible. Everything is so well drawn and detailed, which is one of the reasons that I love this manga so much :') BLESS YOU SENPAI FOR DRAWING SUIJIN SO HOT <33 And, that may just be because I love guys with long hair, but Suijin is actually beautiful :'D
Characters: I love every single character in this manga. Well, except for the antagonists :v But they help move the story along so I'm not complaining >w> At first, you think, "Wow, Suijin really sucks", but honestly, that's how a god would normally act. Rei Toma just makes every character so realistic. Asahi's reaction to being sucked to this world was incredibly realistic as she was a spoiled child and now she doesn't know anybody in this world. The character development is what made this manga amazing though. Suijin's eventual development to understand humans and Asahi just fills me with so much happiness >w<
Enjoyment: Can you tell? I enjoyed this manga SO MUCH. IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS YET I FULLY SUPPORT YOUR DECISION OF READING THIS. This is the only manga that I bought on paperback :'D I own the first two volumes and take them with me eeeverwhere >w< It's probably my favorite manga, right beside Colette ^^ YEAH. I VERY MUCH RECOMMEND THIS MANGA. YOU DEFINITELY WON'T REGRET IT :)

First of all, this manga is amazing and I loved every panel of it. WHY AREN'T THE CHAPTERS ALL TRANSLATED
oh and also this is my first review so excuse me if some of it doesn't make any sense :')
Story:
It starts off a bit rocky imo, and is a bit rushed, but after the first chapter or so you just hit it right off with Kouran and Shiki!!
Art:
Honestly, the art is one of the reasons why I love this manga so much. Shiki is just 👌 For a fangirl like me man, he's perfect. The art is gorgeous.
Characters:
Mikado no Shihou really shines in this area.
...
Every character has their own personality, but they all fit together really well! I just love each character in this manga :'D they're all so likeable ^^
Enjoyment:
In the beginning I wasn't very invested but because of my dear friend I decided to persevere and keep going and boy am I glad I did :') This manga is now one of my favorites! Definitely give it a try because I'm sure you won't regret it! Man it's so underrated aND I NEED THOSE CHAPTERS!1!
