TLDR: RECOMMENDED
Thoughts:
A mature take on relationship that is not afraid to deconstruct it's troupe and premise, just two soul longing for comfort and reset in life in order to move forward. Truly an amazing and simple work that doesnt over stay its welcome but gave enough time to give its message.
Animation & Music (10/10):
This is Wit Studio masterworks with colors combine with one of the best music out there, Starting with a PERFECT Opening and Ending song. It capture the duality of the story both mood and lyrics. Chico and Aimer perfectly represent this with soothing and pumping lyrics. I am amaze how unskippable
...
both options are. Wit studio also keep the color tone moody and atmospheric, it's not afraid to show dark reality or colorful moment without being a love letter to animation* but prioritize on the overall mood the story try to conveys. It knows how to flex the animator skill right. I can say animation elevates the emotion and message it tries to conveys and can safely says it is better than the manga
World Building (7/10):
A simple high school build up and a part time work enviorment. it dabble just right on the world exploring the track club and the work place. cant say it is anything special but it is a solid with little to no flaw on the setting
Character Building (8/10)
you have 2 MC, one dev more directly and the other one indirectly. I can say that the story giving bits and bits of devolepment and backstory through moments and we start with your guilty pleasure series to something more special as we learn our character struggle and their ego. I love that they are in a relationship but never felt romantic yet felt special. It got fanservice here and there but i can say it doesnt rely on it. The build up to the end feels eminent but still gave a nice ride to it.
Story (7/10)
This is what you want from a story, a simple message they want to convey and it character and story are there to send the message, you are enjoying the ride as it gives you a meaning and worth the time. I can say it's a story about self growth and youths, you can always try again, it's okay to take a stepback then found someone so you can lick each other wound but never lost focus on integrity, and of course even if all time pass and it will leads just to a memory the ride helps you take that extra step. Truly simple but well excecuted.
Bias
i like chico & aimer , and i am wit studdio fan or was, so knowing they handle it is a must watch. i can say i started it with just another chill manga to read before i sleep or an anime to watch in a train. I am suprised how digestable the series to watch casually but still give meaning to what you watch and these 2 story telling are always a +1 in my book.

tldr: RECOMENDED
thoughts:
frieren is a must watch for this season at the barely least, following the journey through memory lane of the usual isekai genre. The idea is not unique nor is it ground breaking, but the excecution was crisp and the overall enjoyment level to watch it week by week was good as it keeps it fresh and made you wait for the new episode to come out.
Detail:
1. Animation & Music (8/10)
it's not the Violet godly beatiful detail nor is it JJK amazing fight choreography, but Madhouse made a comeback and show their best perks which is tone and pacing, Freiren dont need an
...
good fight scene nor a wallpaper on each scene, it shows you the world and shows how each character live it the movement detail and color pallete was set in stone and consistent. overall it's not the best animation but it is the perfect animation for this adaptation. i am team ED is better than the OP for this series since it capture Freiren turmoil better but the lyric for OP is good but just a bit boring or too yoasobi for Freiren tone, the insert song and overall OST is good
2. World building (7/10)
Freiren world building is one of the better one in recent years, it dont bombard you with a lot of character you need to remember nor doest it try to make each people unique, it knows all you need to know is Himmels party and Frieren current party. The world building is made mostly by this character views/story it dont detail you how things work and what not it's simple but makes the world feel vast enough. it feels like mushishi lite where you learn the world little by little but there is still a lot you dont know.
3. Character (7/10)
Frieren without a doubt is the best written, she is complex and deconstruct her trait and most of all she is genuine and kind, Himmel's party feels more like band of mischief that screams the journey is the most important thing, you get more complex backstory as times goes by but overall ok supporting cast and great MC. Also good they dont make Stark zenitsu annoying he is just awkward but shows kindness and actually have a spine
4. Story (6/10)
it is what it is, you are on a kin no tabi, violet evergardenish with some action sprinkle here and there. it is a journey though memory lane and them reaching the goal was never the thing you watch it for, it's the world and how the char interact with it. it's not the best story and maybe offputting to some but if you want to get comfy it is a good show.
5. Bias
my bias on this show is that it is a good show to watch with a 995 schedule (google it), it is nice and comfy it dont try to force you to watch it with full attention nor does it bore you with long build up, it is overall good watch and though it maybe seasonal the journey for the next 28 weeks is real. so gave it and extra 2 point for that may go down to 8/10 or 7/10 in time

I alwasy heavily emphasize in character as a main drive for a plot, so the review will be around its character
it is a very friendly anime to start and its mystery aspect intrigued and keep me to watch it weekly but its overall strong story what keeps me rewatching it. to keep it a buck, it is a solid anime with a good drive and overall good progression until the final 3 episode or so
if i dive deep to its core, its lack of cohesive starts to show, it didnt explain well about the sci-fi aspect and the biggest problem i have with the anime
...
is its attention to character,
#1 Main girl problem
the main girl voiced by Aoi Yuuki packed with solid backstory, struggle, and overall personality stole the people's heart. the anime overdeveloping her doesnt help either to the point where we know how the ending would be like and we are all for it. *SPOILER AHEAD OF THIs* the author decide to suddenly make the girl who barely get screen time to end up with the MC and the MC woke up after a coma to see the girl he saved with another's man baby is just an insult to injury. it is to the point where it broke the heart of people who was invested to it. i read the manga to see and you could see who the author want the MC to end up with but poor execution and overall bad development distort the main girl. a good author could develop a character while not being the MC love interest, but he lacks in that aspect
#2 Horrbile villain
the plot start with a cunning villain who manage to get away with years of child murder and even shifting blam to others, the way it is revealed of this so called villain is so generic and its plan is so boring to the point of it is being an insult
#3 Savior MC problem
The MC is a kind man, who is lost in life and decide to better himself and choose to even save a girl life. A savior MC is something really tender that need to be cultivated well which the author manage to do splendidly but when push comes to shove we could see the lack of depth within the MC, he is in term generic and unorganic. on times where the MC was used just because. on the latter half you could even see the lack of MC method of thinking where the chains of thought was suddenly different when he was in the beginning.
though it still manage to capture the heart of people and this was due to what it do best
#1 a familly figure
the author manage to perfected his craft on making a perfect family figure he instill in its character, the better part was it can also install the lack of family figure in its family. the author manage to put moments that could only gave you tears of joy or tears of sadness regarding family issues.
#2 deconstruction of kuudere troupe
the author master the art of kuudere troupe, where the quite girl was heavily deconstruct to the point of being its own person rather than a troupe. you could see its organic and real, the back story, the perosnality, everything in betwen
my overall problem with the anime is its character, anime plot can be generic or problematic or something in between in but i believe in good character to drive the story.
i would not reccomend if you are looking for something amazing or mind blowing, but if you want a solid mystery (regarding the ending) and overall family values it is highly reccomended

Chainsawman is a deconstruction of a generic shounen manga and one of the leeading pionner on blurring the line of seinen and shounen (good for all ages) where it balance shounen element with seinen twist.
Chainsawman took place in a world where there are devils and devil hunter with your generic devil hunter using the power of devil, what seperate the manga from the usual manga was the paneling and characters, it is one of the few manga that can juggle over 10 characters and make each of them memorable in such a short amount of chapter.
Though people joke on CSM pacing, it is a
...
master work unfold with how natural the breathing room each panel gives and how it used many element to smooth out the fast pace.
With all the good things, CSM had it flaw. too say the least CSM goes a straight plot with manya essentric plot holes here and there, it can get absolutely mid/aight on my first reading but as i re-read a couple of time i can see why people loves this so much.

the manwha takes on the generic troupe for the villainess to be MC but manage to shows how much of a victim the MC was and how putrid the people surrounded her to be. It was an amazing first few chapter with a clear villain to the story and how we root for the MC.
i really love the deconstruction take of the typical troupe the story manage to do in the early part of the story. You get to see the psyche of each character and finding out who truly loves the MC and wasnt do it to save himself. With fairly good art
...
and pacing you continue to read only to be spit of by the latter half of the story
The plot goes on a horrible turn introducing many Deus ex Machina mechanic with an unsatisfying ending that throw away all of the growth you've seen from all the character. You can clearly see the ending the author want, but due to bad excecution it was almost mocking its own story.
i can safely say to not reccomend you reading this from story alone. There are many story worth more your time but it is still an amazing experience to go through considering it makes me care for the MC and some of its character

Ousama ranking was an amazing anime to tune in to that keep my expectation on the series higher and higher only to be spit at the final quarter. After reading the manga i can safely say that WIT Studio carry the manga highly with its magical animation followed by talented sound director and music choice.
The biggest selling point in this anime was supposed to be the story on how a royalty politic with a dash of shounen simplification, in which the latter half evolve it to a deconstruction of the simple shounen troupe. By this point, i was sold this was going to be
...
one of the best new anime coming in this year. Sadly this is where the author fall short, the dark twisted plot deconstructed horribly where all the tension built up from the start of the series turnout to be a nothingburger. it is one of the weirdest tuning it episode to episode from watchng a mature film to a happy go lucky no tension plot.
i can safely say this is a very generic anime troupe where they always failed to tied up the ending. needles to say it is good in my book thinking how i binge half of this series in one sitting.

5 cm per second is considered to be Makoto Shinkai best work in my book(yes it is better than yourname). It follows a couple relationship grow throughout the ages and how hard it is to move on and its effect on you. It masterfully shows how an event can be intrepeted differently from each perspective and how much words left unsaid can lead a person growth to either the better or its demise.
With art too good for its time you can see the seed of the upcoming blast your name-ish style of art, though a bit rough around the ages it shows how everyday
...
people look making it more relatable. Adding to how amazing the art is, the music choice is perfect. It follow a melody that got upgraded throughout the moments to intrepet its moments, it is so good i actually bought the CD for the music alone, with "distant everyday memory" being my favourite.
The biggest flaw in the movie, it follow an arc time skip sort of style with many parts feels rushed or rather not explained (i.e. the final arc got character unexplained) though still can be easily intrepeted/guessed but it got the perfect ending a movie like this should have. I highly reccomend to watch it and even read the manga/ lightnovel and then read the another story with the girl perspective to get the full picture.
It is one of the best movie anime can offer that i highly reccomend to watch

the author masterpiece to say the least, it is considered peak fiction in my book following a memoir of an actual climber life. the story took place in the typical sport shounen but quickly differentiate from all it's comeptition where it took the consequences of all their action and a full on after story from the usual highschool plot.
It shows the flaw of each character and how the flaw grew if each character refuse to grow as a human, it shows the raw regret, pain, suffering, and joy of each the MC life decision it choose. It also shows the financial reality on picking
...
your passion, but it shows hope on what you can do to pursue your passion while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
overall, a read worth taking a whole day off.

It's one of the best slice of life you'll read and one of the best manga at giving a home vibe, story took place in a maiko house where our protagonist is the head chef in there despite being young. Though it in a sense took a very nice approach on realistic household chef where your cook needs to be consistently ok and not grand.
The true charm of this manga come from the character interaction with the MC, where although she is an airhead you can see she actually love her job and the people she work for. Though what sells me to gave
...
the high rating is the overall messeage where you can see our MC work super hard on her job but all of the character in the manga also work their best, it's a nice atmosphere to have where all the character work their best constantly, It really shows the author mastery in writting where common plot tends to sell only a handful of hardworking character or hardworking in a short amount of time (i.e. an event arc).
the biggest flaw for my taste is the love triangle drama the author makes on this manga though it is a nice plot progression, it felt out of touch with the chill vibe the manga gives.
i highly reccomend if you are into a manga about slice of life with an amazing but simple art

you will hear the voice of the dead it a master take on a horror slice of life. You follow the protagonist living his life as someone who can see dead people powered with disgustingly amazing artwork and funny impulse here and there.
the good thing about this manga is it doesn't take it too seriously and gave an episodically kinda plot though it stems arc to arc. I really like the 3 main cast with each other personality actually complement eachother as they go to some scooby doo kinda plot.
the bad thing about the manga is the author lost her charm a few
...
times in the middle. The author makes this manga out of the fly with the mindset it will be 1 book maximum, it goes in to 79 chapter, a lot of story goes from horror to just scifi a few times.
side note is the author is really funny, her author note are actually worth reading as she jokes along. i maybe bias on this review since the comedy aspect of the manga/author style of comedy actually my cup of tea
overall a good casual read
