This manga is yet another Otome Isekai with a twist.

Yes, they always have a twist, but this time the twist is that it's not told from the "villainess" POV, but by her fiancee - the prince.


Said prince is a prodigy and bored to death, utill he meets the absolute adorable idiot that is Bertia. Bertia claims to remember the world they live in from a game and can somewhat predict the future (as it's given for this setting), but everyone else thinks she's just dellusional. But since the Prince hasn't anything interesting to do anyways he prepares for a pandemic she predicted regardless. And ... it turns out she was right. From that point on he knows she's not talking nonsense and takes her somewhat seriously.

As characters you have the protagonist, said genius prince, a deadpan snarker and somewhat bored prodigy, the idiot "villainess" who's just too kind for her own good and the heroine from the original game. They are all very fun to follow, at no point I was bored of the story.



If you like Otome Isekai, this is a good read. It's short, it's hillarious and it leaves no open ends.

Imo it's a 9/10 for Otome stories and a 7/10 in general.

It's been awhile since I've read a manga that I feel is complete. I say it's complete in a sense where it accomplished what it needs to do without dragging the pacing nor rushing it either. It just had the right amount of everything right until the end.

The story is quite simple. It follows the life of Cecil, the protagonist, where he met a girl who has been reincarnated as a "villainess". What makes this story different from the other 69420 villainess manga out there, is that this literally follows the life of Cecil, and not the main girl, Bertia. From the monologues, to the ... structure of the story, we've been always following Cecil. And it works quite well because we get to see different perspective other than the usual one we've always seen in other villainess manga.
Well, the actual story itself is quite weak due to it being a rather short series. It had to be concise and straightforward, so in the end, it has to rely on exposition in order to get the story out for the readers. Also, the amount of stakes here are pretty much non-existent because of a certain character (whose name I wouldn't say because duh, spoiler lmao).

Moving on, the characters here are pretty well done. Bertia is pretty much the word wholesome as a person. She's adorable, cute, someone worth dying for. But she's not a one-dimensional character. Far from it. She is a well-rounded character that will develop throughout the story. Both Cecil and Bertia are well-written characters, moreso Cecil because we're in his shoes for the entirety of this manga. For the side characters, they aren't that much fleshed out because they only have limited screen time. But they serve their role very well.

The art is also quite good, though I can see why others might not like it. Because d*mn those nose can kill someone. Those are sharper than the world's sharpest knife lmao. But, look past that and you can see that some of the panels are quite fantastic to look at.

Overall, this manga will always have a special place in my heart. I don't know if I'd read the novel, but I might buy a physical copy in the future.

Usually it takes a long time seeing isekai girls that meet their boys as children to grow up, or they grow up too fast. In the first case, usually it can get boring unless the story is good or fun enough, or there's a lot of character development and character learning events in the latter that are lost.

This manga manages to go in the middle and be both fun and fast enough. You don't spend hours seeing two kids being just cute, and you end up laughing when there's a pregnancy misunderstanding at a young age (you will understand when you see it) when the ... boy couldn't even think in touch his bride yet.

Bertia is a really fun main character who desires to be the villainess she was reincarnated to be. However, she's also too selfless to ever be such. I just now understand why she begins chubby and works hard to be thinner too (and i say that as a chubby person), since the original character stays chubby because she's selfish and has no reason to lose weight by herself. This Bertia cares a lot about others, so she also cares about being at her best for others' sake, and about looking good as the villainess. She loses weight because it's for someone else. For chubby fans, yea, i was disappointed too, but i will live.
(kinda nice too because the old "fat is evil" is kinda broken there, despite her not being as evil as she thinks)
I saw someone say that she wants to be lawful evil, but becomes chaotic good. That's her.

Cecil.... He's an ass. But a lovely ass. He begins looking very much like a doll (and i enjoy seeing the others talk badly on his face, and him just smiling at that while being a bit "hey!" at them) and almost emotionless. The typical "my girl is my toy", he's deeply bored at life and everything, so Bertia just comes in like a wrecking ball and he enjoys her. More and more until he can't get enough.

Bertia stimulates him to become less emotionless and less bored (therefore less self destructive and destructive), while she takes care so everypony will be happy. Especially Cecil. She doesn't tell what will happen if Cecil doesn't marry the heroine, so he doesn't understand why she's so desperate to take her family and herself to the path of evil.

Seeing him suffer because of all the troubles Bertia gets in while trying to be a vilainess and him trying to fix or maneuver them is really fun, gotta say. Like, yea, he's an ass, but he's not going through all that without punishment. And you end up rooting for him because he cares for Bertia more and more.

And you will too lol. That's why you will root for him, so he can protect her and save her, and stay in a good route where they can be together, while trying to understand what happens or what will or would happen.

Bertia is just super fun to watch, so you will also observe them just like the fiancee in the title.

Oh yea, also the prince can be categorized as an yandere. At first, it doesn't look like it, but with time it gets more obvious as he actually gets feelings and stuff. "I would destroy a country for Bertia. Bertia, now you will never escape me" c'mon, that's really yandere of you, boy.

Also, fuck the Heroine. It's kinda painful that Bertia roots for her so desperately, because she wants a happy ending so hard. But heroine was also isekai'd so she's annoying now.

If you got interested in any of that, nice! You will have fun. The art is quite pretty tbh, i love the eyelashes. The dresses and suits are cool and well designed as well. Some people think that the story looks shallow, but if you finish it up and reread, you will understand it's far from shallow. Pay attention, will ya? You shouldn't lose so many secret treasures like that.

One of them is probably how unsuited to be the villain Bertia is. lmao.

I bet you stumbled here because you caught yourself in villainess genre hell, well so am i. I highly recommend this for anybody looking for a fun lighthearted, bit complicated love story challenging fate. Or like me, who can't get enough of Bakarina (villainess lead to doom anime/manga). What separates her from others is that The quality of the story is maintained all through out. The story doesnt indulge on the characters that it sacrifices the plot. The artist's focus on the story it wants to tell is solid so you wont find yourself going bit far from what you thought you were reading.

Each ... chapter is long and compact, its a long read even if there's only 33 chapters.
What makes the story stand out:
- pov of the prince (male lead)
- Bertia (female lead) doesn't become passive even if the story is on the prince's side.
- the logic doesnt go out of window, its grounded on what they established, rewarding for those who are into world build/lore

i know it has faults but those are for nitpicky viewers, i dont mind them because the pro outweights the cons :))

I've read a lot of villainess otome game mangas and novels, and this one has the best execution so far. Usually the fact that the world is a game and the routes stop mattering not even mid-way through, but this manga actually thoroughly explores all the possible routes, even though they don't come to be, making the reader feel that they're actually playing a game at times.

What struck me as particularly unique was the insistence of the villainess to get the male lead and main protagonist, prince Cecil, with the heroine. Both the heroine and the villainess treated him like an NPC, and at certain ... points it made me feel uncomfortable because both of them were convinced that Cecil couldn't escape a bad ending unless he ended up with the heroine. Since the villainess and female lead, Bertia, loves the character so much, she was especially obsessed with getting them together, which meant that prince Cecil had to scheme and strike down a lot of flags from the shadows to change the "plot" of the "game" to make Bertia finally accept him and start treating the characters as human beings.

Overall, it's an enjoyable and interesting read. 8/10 in general and 9.5/10 as far as otome game manga/novels go.

This manga has ruined yandere male leads for me, because they always compare so poorly to Cecil. He’s affectionate in a fun way, and I love how literally everyone isn’t afraid to call out how he’s a pretty big weirdo. He’s really unique in that while he is super intelligent and “powerful”, he does seek to improve himself and chooses to do a lot of stuff that doesn’t exactly come naturally to him.

All the characters are a ton of fun, and I like how it distinctly avoided the harem route typical to these types of stories, and made all the actual pairings really cute ... and fitting. While they’re relatively minor I would genuinely want to read a story (or at least oneshot) based on any of the given couples.

The villain isn’t great but she’s acceptable, and is probably the only actually poor start of the story. The manga probably would’ve been about to same if she was or wasn’t there.

Probably best read if you’re familiar with the otome isekai genre of stories, since a lot of the appeal is a subversion of really common tropes. But ultimately even if you haven’t read any it’s just really cute.

TLDR; A sweet manga romance manga revolved around subverting a painfully overdone trope

Im bored to death with these types of stories, its so overdone i'm sorry, but this manga is an exception. Its fun its sweet its not too heavy on drama. The manga really shines on its subversion of tropes. Most of these stories follow the MC try to keep the cannon while portraying the cannon as a bad outcome or worse scenario, but our female lead in this manga actively strives towards it. Its a refreshing take on the genre. Like most subversive genre stories though, it heavily benefits from the reader having ... a base knowledge of the genre its subverting. Its like any 4th wall breaking video game, if that's someones first video game the effect isnt as ground breaking. Either way its a fun and easy read, easy recomednation.

I agree with another reviewer, 7/10 overall manga but 9/10 for the genre
