Alright basically the hero Ikuto gets into a fight with his dad and decides to run away the result of it is his ship sinks and he drifts to an island that is impossible to get off but at least he's surrounded by girls right? Well except for the fact that he sucks with them either way its a great manga so far the story line is there but you can still miss it

If you know me, I hate fanservice. One glance at my bio or a review I've written will tell you I avoid ecchi like the plague. Panty shots make me shudder and tropey girls get my eyes rolling. So why the 6 rating? Why am I even writing a review on something maybe a hundred people know exist?

It's not the sexy.
It's not the story, which basically serves as our tool for viewing the world
It's not the romance, though it is better done than most of its genre, with characters overcoming their superficial attractions to find actual love and a solid central dynamic.
It's not the ... characters, though I did enjoy how it would go deeper as it went along and how the most basic of tropes were avoided.

It's the world, so finely crafted it feels almost too good. If you're not going to tell a new or engaging story, then at least put it somewhere interesting; and Nagasarete Airantou does so.

Sure, the premise is ridiculous, but the island that Ikuto lands on is rich in culture, power system, and locations. Be it the enigmatic history pulled out of the tsunami 12 years ago, the four lord system and the areas they rule over, or actual aliens, Airantou is a place I want to see more of. The series may not be anything new, but it least gives some beyond the bare minimum in every other area while showing us top-notch worldbuilding. If you must have a harem, or ecchi, go with this one. You're not looking for hentai, so why be stuck with the quality of one?
