Adventures of adorable girl and her guardian trying to guide her through world. While Yotsubato takes place in present day Japan, Nicola is a fantasy manga.

Non-human man comes across a small girl and takes it upon himself to protect her and her happiness. Both have unusual artstyle.

Cute little girl doing her own thing in a fantasy world. Kuro has more horror elements to it though.

Alice in Kyoto Forest and Nicola Traveling Around the Demons' World are two fantasy series with a sweet female main character in an otherworldly-traveling story safe enough for people of all ages to enjoy. The new world the main character travels around is full of interesting worldbuilding and fantasy creatures, all presented in a beautiful art style and sense of flair that makes each series feel like their own. Reading either of these is like reading a classic fairy tale in the best possible way!

Call the Name of the Night and Nicola Traveling Around the Demons' World are two fantasy seinen manga with a young female protagonist enjoying herself in her whimsical adventures around a world with wonder far beyond one's wildest dreams. The art and fantasy lore in both series are absolutely a treat for the eyes, and the characters are pretty delightful to follow too. Both are definitely good reads for something wholesome even with potentially sad subject matter in some chapters.

A storybook-like manga in which a motherless little girl and her adopted father figure travel across lands new to the little girl

A duo that is so different from one another but still has a firm bond. They adventure through the world, on the way to hope their wish(es) will come true. Relying on each other is the key to be able to set the next step forward. <> Nicola: more towards spreading of love and kindness; Heart Gear: more towards destruction and existentialism

These two features a young girl who is trapped and decide to venture in a fantasy fairy tale society with strange and mysterious worldbuilding. The main protag is both have their childish aspects of them exaggerated followed by tragic backstories for both of them these two are also serinen but features no gore and only mildly frightening scenes and probably should not have been

Both are what I would call "comfy" manga, and are set in a beautifully drawn fantasy world. While Nicola's Adventure is suitable for all ages and Dungeon Meshi definitely skews older with its themes, I think both can be enjoyed by a fairly similar audience.

Little Devils and Nicola Traveling Around the Demons' World are two manga series with a human main protagonist constantly surrounded by demon characters. Both series are actually more wholesome than at first sight, as there are new sides shown to what you might think of a stereotypical demon character, and many interactions within each and any of these characters at any point are sure to make someone's day. Very sweet interactions between the adult and child characters throughout.

Male demon and female human surrounded by other inhuman beings, wandering in a place filled with other demons. *Lots of comedy in both.

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea and Nicola Traveling Around the Demons' World are two relatively short fantasy series with a cute young witch as the main character. Both manga give off a fairy tale vibe with their cutesy aesthetics and the type of whimsical tone as you read. Mysteries and humanoid characters are abound, but also keep in mind that Wadanohara's story features violence, blood, and some horrific imagery.

NOMK is like a cute version of Dorohedoro, with its intricate demon world, and all the interesting personalities inhabiting it.

Humans traveling a fantasy world with a demon sidekick who shows them the ropes as they search for a missing parent. Nicola is a bit more slice of life whereas Sorry for My Familiar has more action.

Ancient Magus Bride and NOMK have a lots of similarities like "young girl in another world, meeting new exiting people with interesting quirks", but beware, that whole romance thing isn't included in NOMK.

If Kino was a kid, walking around in a demon world, with an eccentric salesman as her companion, you might end up with NOMK.

Something about Nicola Traveling Around the Demons' World reminded me of my childhood years when I was obsessed with two certain volumes of Magical Pokémon Journey. Each chapter is arguably just as adorably charming as the cutely drawn art, and the world both manga focus on are mysterious fantasy worlds with lots of cute monsters and sweet stories to cover. Recommended for younger manga readers.

Same basic plot: monster guy travelling with human girl in a world full of monsters that definitely has no love for humans. Somali has more detailed art, but Nicola's pretty unique as well.

Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts and Nicola Traveling Around the Demons' World are two fairy tales for the modern age, featuring a young human girl and a non-human man as the protagonists. Most of the characters featured in both manga are not human and come in all kinds of interesting character designs. Despite the scary fantasy situations the girl gets herself in the world of demons/beasts, the whole story is fairly wholesome which mixes delightfully well with the warm-feeling artwork.
