| Announced recently in Shonen Jump, Dragon Ball's creator, Akira Toriyama, will be starting new series called Ginga Patrol Jako in the 13th July issue. Update July 1st It has been reported that this series will be featured in Viz's Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine under the title "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" starting in the July 15th issue. | I'll read it, but I have no expectations. In fact from that scan I can honestly say I'm anticipating both the other series more. I obviously liked Dragon Ball, but I don't think his style is suited for the current shounen genre. In trying to adapt to the current trends of the genre, his work will most likely come across as average or a bit better than average at best. That's just my opinion and I'd love to be wrong on this so that I could read something good. |
