Wow... I'm still trying to figure what exactly went on in that clip. It seems to me this girl is trapped in a tiny world - her eyesight is limited, as is the colour and size of the world she is in. This 8 minutes is an exploration of the world she resides in. Despite being very detached from reality, a hand (is it hers?) points her to something with obvious lingering emotional attachments - the outburst of uncontrollable emotion feels ugly and scary, something she obviously tries to avoid. She has developed a very skewed sense of reality and to her normal feelings like these are bizarre. Her imagination and reality have overlapped... so that the watcher is unsure which is which. I think this is a very illustrative and imaginative way of examining someone with a psychological illness... perhaps she is a sufferer of (manic?) depression. The ending is very clear, suggesting that there are many people like her living in isolation, boxed off from the rest of the world. Although they all share the same space, they cannot, and do not attempt to, communicate with one another. The bar code suggests that this self-imposed isolation is a product of a society that allows this to thrive. Having said all that, some bits were just plain surreal (such as what happened inside the book). Maybe I delve too deeply, and should take it as it is. |

I guess it was suppose to symbolize the psychotic mind. She didn't seem to be much of an outgoing person, maybe it finally got to her after all that time? I dunno... The part where she looked at the picture was pretty creepy. |

Creepy, interesting, and outstanding. I liked it, also because I have a thing for black & white movies/photos/etc. |

I really liked it. I love the twist at the end. I wish I could find a higher quality version though. The only place I found it was on YouTube :/ |

5/5 Great sound to set the atmosphere and of course the surrealism. To me, it's about a girl trying to find herself. If you overly indulge in the world of escapism you become more distant from others and even yourself. @myexodus That's a good explanation of the ending. |

I'm all for metaphors and surreal images, but the standout bit in this piece was the sound... it gave me shivers. |

It's always anime like this that make me feel like I'm missing something. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who didn't really get this. But besides that I liked it. The art was great, very creepy, and real at times. I really want to rewatch this with great quality. The atmosphere was also very creepy, when she started freaking out I pulled my feet up off the ground, didn't want any monsters to get them. This dude should totally make a horror anime, he could probably do it. |

Well, that was weird... I don't think I understood what was going on. It looked like a girl who was trapped in a cube full of books and memory and yet, she was fascinated by a light with another cube in it. Even if I write that, it doesn't seem to make more sense xD I guess it was OK. I don't think I wasted my time though. |

Well that was creepy. I'm guessing this is depicting the mind of someone with some kind of mental illness. There seem to be a whole world full of people like her, but they are all isolated and can't communicate with each other. I wonder what illness they all share. |

Very mesmerizing and somehow.. melancholic? Maybe the monsters and the different world were rooted from the many books there, so the girl may a bit obsessed with those books. She lived a shut-in live and developed a psychological illnes, that's the reason why she hallucinated all of the supernatural stuff which was seen there. But I'm probably overthinking, an interesting watch nonetheless. |

For me it's like a series of emotions, but at the same time only one. I'm bad with words but it's confusing and also amazing. Short but satisfactory. |
