Probably Kana and Chiaki! To be honest, my favourites are Keisuke and Patricia, but they only really feature in the manga and only appear as background characters in the anime…

It's something that I've done to a few anime. I have my own scoring system through which I like to divide my favorites. In my list, I've given 10 to only my top 3 favorites. That's just something weird lol. But Kaguya sama S2 was a perfect 10 if I had another way to divide my list.

I wrote that review in about 45 mins. I proofread it and thought about structuring it in a better way, but stopped as I thought "it's on the internet and won't be taken seriously". Boy was I wrong.

At the end of the day, people like what the like. I can't make people change their minds with a review and they can't do the same to me.

I agree that manga readers would see more depth to the characters. Someone told me that in the manga Kaguya actually gives some insight into what she did to make Ogino transfer schools. So, it's more of an adaptation problem. But since I only had the anime as a reference, it was the only thing I could leverage.

Haha yeah. But I appreciated your civil response to my scathing criticism of the show, so despite I didn't reply initially, I saw this recently and decided it warranted a response. XD

I appreciate your feedback. To me, it was a character assassination, not convincingly or meaningfully done, somewhere along the lines of Luke in The Last Jedi. It kills the meaning and sacrifices made earlier on in the story, not just by Hei, but also by Mao, Huang and some of the other characters. It was like a bad fanfiction and I'm still trying to forget what I saw. Also, putting "magical girl" elements into Darker than Black is like putting ketchup on sushi.

I am resurrected on MAL! Glad to see you are still active - hardly any of the people in my friends list still are! How have you been? Watch anything interesting of late?

That's interesting, the tests in Space Brothers seemed unrealistic to me but I'm not familiar with the astronaut selection process.

Oh yes, it's currently on track to be added to my favourites list. I looked back at the anime produced in the last few years, and I've not enjoyed another anime as much since Nodame Cantabile Finale back in 2011 or something.

I'll be recording voices for it one of these days.
