The CG on the characters was really odd and jarring. But the story in this was really cool. Some nice twists and turns. |

I think the ED won it over for me. Loved it. In reality, I did enjoy the plot. I thought it was pretty clever, especially considering it was just a 25 minute watch. I was definitely entertained. The animation WAS annoying, though. Tacky. The characters felt stiff at some points, and I'm definitely not too fond of this CGI thing. I won't mind a few CGI anime, as long as they don't take over the scene I'll be okay. :D |

I didn't like the animation at first, but I got used to it quickly enough. I liked the story, although I had to watch it 2 times and I still don't entirely get it (I don't know if anybody else had trouble following it but I definitely did). But I for one like these types of shows where I have to watch closely in order to understand. |

Honestly, I thought it was terrible. Setting the awful CGI aside, though the plot (what little was presented of it) was interesting, there was just way too much that was not explained. Why was the boy a robot and why were there clones of him? If he was a government agent/spy then why did he bring the cat/virus with him back to earth? As a fan of sci-fi, I was looking forward to this OVA but I ended up being highly disappointed. 4/10 |

As for the OVA itself, I liked it, but it would've been much better if it were a proper series. The story was interesting and it's a shame many questions were left unanswered in the end. Another wasted potential :( Gets 6/10 from me. |

Took me a while to get used to the animation. The weird character movements were really annoying. Although the story was interesting for one episode but there are still many unanswered questions. Yeah. |

I REALLY fell in love with the ending song <3 As for the episode, well, I don't have much to say since almost everyone said what I wanted to say. |

The H5N1 influenza virus reference in Norageki! apparently is real though it is still limited to birds or avian in origin as opposed to this episode where it's endemic in cats, as shown in the headlines of the newspaper when R12: FlashTradeKiller (the girl hacker) was arrested. Anyway the blocky CGI art and animation put me off a bit but I got over it somehow. The plot and the ending left a lot of questions in my mind and the ED was a surprise. :D It was good but it could have been better. What the heck, life's a gamble, right? |

I was actually pleasantly surprised. I watched it spur of the moment on Hulu since it was short and really enjoyed it. I am still slightly confused by the ending and may watch it another time just to see if that clears up the loose ends but other than that I would recommend it for a quick watch. One thing though, at the end it says, "All five prisoners and 1 cat escaped" but I only saw the boy and the cat in the shuttle that landed on earth so what happened to the rest? Sorry if that's a stupid question. |

Not bad, but it seems like some wasted time. Did the virus really spread across the entire planet in a matter of seconds, as the screen showed? We don't even know what the virus does.. The ending was pretty strange I guess, the clones and such. 3/5. |

It needed more time, could have been nice if it was a full length movie. Wasn't a fan of the CGI, but the premise was very interesting. Of course the characters hadn't much time to shine, one point more why I would like a full length movie of this, characterization and mystery built-up, potential is there imo. Didn't expect that ending. |

The premise was very interesting, but the CGI was a bit of a turn-off for me. I also wish they had some more time to develop the story and explain why there were cyborgs/clones of the boy marked N17. elemenope said: sorry but can you explain the movie to me? why are there so many boy cyborgs at the end? and why were the 3 other prisoners chosen to be in that jail? @elemenope I know this is 3+ years after your post lol, but I can explain at least part of it to you. I'm not sure about the cyborg/clone part at the end, but I do know that the prisoners all bet on the cat choosing them so that they could return to Earth with the cat in the last crate. From my understanding, in addition to being prisoners for reasonable reasons (for example, hacking ~ cyber threat), all of them were likely infected with the virus and therefore chosen to be isolated in that space prison so that the virus would stop spreading. However, the cat still had the virus and will now be spreading it to others. Hope this helped! Anyways, this was especially fascinating, given the COVID-19 pandemic is happening still. Will a variant of COVID be deadly enough that humanity chooses to sacrifice the people carrying the variant and send them to a space prison? Who knows, only time will tell |
