| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ok. Kenny sets out to find a vehicle so they can transport Toki. He returns empty handed. Then a bunch of Ken-oh thugs show up on vehicles and pick a fight with Kenny, in which Kenny quickly whips the shit out of all of them, leaving vehicles there for the taking. And so they continue walking. WTF? |
| Lol. Kenshiro didn't like the paint-job. Just imagine though that after days of trip they arrive at their destination and suddenly Toki asks Ken. Ken why didn't we take the bikes from those guys? Ken: In other news Rei is ready to kick ass and his sister let a little child take one for her. She sure must feel proud. |

| Lynn was so brave this episode, made me almost forgive her annoying shoutings in previous episodes... The non vehicle taking also didn't make any sense to me. Rei Badass moment in the end. |

| That's a good way to establish Raoh as an imposing force-- even Bat and Lin aren't safe anymore! One might call Airi a coward for letting a kid go to die alone to save her, but let's face it. Airi knew as well as you know as well as I do that if she'd popped out to help, it would have just gotten them both killed. She was certainly too paralyzed by fear to think of making a move like that first. Airi's been through too much to hold any illusion of optimism in that familiar, traumatic situation. |

| I also just noticed that Ken came back empty-handed after he set out to look for a car but when those Ken-Oh men came in motorcycles he didn't take their bikes and instead just kept walking. This show makes so many confusing fucking choices. The only reason I give it a pass is cause it's an 80s anime. If this show was newer I definitely would've thought it was dumb in a negative instead of a quirky way. Wow. Bat actually survived the crossbow bolt. And he somehow managed to travel so far just so he could reach Ken. Maybe I underestimated the guy. This is probably the first episode where Lin did something useful instead of becoming a damsel in distress. She still got her shit kicked in but it wasn't for nothing. She protected Airi even though it should be the other way around. Those Ken-Oh assholes fucked up now. They shouldn't have gotten Rei this angry with their get sealed or dance on fire scheme. In the last episode Kenshiro's shoulder pad got destroyed but in the next episode preview it seems completely fine. Does he pull the shirts and the shoulder pads out of his ass every time? Tho Ig the more realistic take would be that he simply takes the ones from his fallen enemies. Which is a bit weird. He also didn't take the vehicles of his enemies which makes it even weirder. I guess he only steals shirts and clothes. |
