Nice ep, but it was a bit stupid. First it helps them, then puts them in dangerous and then again helps them lol

Which is funny because he tells them to protect her, yet he is wasting their time and jeopardising Athena life.

Aw, you guys are debbie downers, lol.
I loved this episode..it was mushy but enjoyable. I like that Aiolos' spirit is still alive and willing to help the Saints..there's also symbolism with the illusions of tragedy. Even when all hope seems lost, the Saints are always able to produce a miracle in the name of love and justice.

I have been trying to get over the stupid logic in this show every episode...

But you know... this episode had me yelling at the TV.

I realize there's symbolism in the whole "don't give up on your friends and beleive in them!", but the fact that they can't take a couple minutes to go check back on one of the Saints that is possibly dying, yet they have time to stare in awe at a two sentence long writing from somebody who is long dead (THAT ALL HE WROTE WAS I ENTRUST YOU WITH THE DUTY TO PROTECT ATHENA, WHICH HAS BEEN IMPLIED THAT HE SAID THAT FOR LIKE 30+ EPISODES), is so stupid.

Also why is it that everybody seems to have forgotten that Phoenix willingly took his own life to let them go forward and protect Athena? In Seiya's flashback not once did he remember that he did that and instead he remembered the other three and Athena.

This Sagittarius' house filler was stupid but the inscription on the wall is canon and really important. Aioros was a great guy ;')

Our group is back! The four of them are ready to go on an adventure together again.
And what a cheesy cliche for them to go through. I predicted the second Shiryu told them to go ahead it would play out this way. It feels weird to call something in an 80's anime cliche, and perhaps very rude of me and not my place to speak. Perhaps the whole 'show the crews trust by having each one sacrifice themselves for the others, but not really cause it was just a show of trust and they all make it back together' cliche wasn't so overused at the time. But seeing it now, this was like a clearly rushed filler which relied on it. That being said, it fits with Saint Seiya's themes a lot, and it's not like cheesiness isn't commonplace here. So out of the cases of this I've seen, this one is very much passable. I suppose we're supposed to assume that the whole trial the golden armor produced was to make sure no one else found that will instead of our boys.

All that being said, the ending made it worth it. Seeing the manly tears as Aioros entrusts the boys with his proverbial daughter was touching. To them, he trusts. And yes, as someone criticized, this may have been evident. But hearing it from someone else is much different than hearing it from the man himself. A man they probably look up to as the justice which started it all.

AIOROS YOU WANKER!

I just know you made Seiya and company waste a whole fucking hour dungeon crawling through your temple. And all because you wanted them to see your last letter, when they're on a fucking time limit. You absolute moron!

Edit - This was a dumb, dumb episode. And not the fun kind.

I'll admit that it's illogical that Aiolos would set a trial for Seiya and his group as they're racing to save Athena's life. But for what it was worth, it was nice seeing all four Bronze Saints work together to get through it. Plus, I guess the people making the anime had to come up with a somewhat plausible obstacle at the Sagittarius Temple for filler. As far as I remember from the manga, the Sagittarius Cloth just showed Aiolos's message to Seiya and the group before letting them proceed to the next temple.
