| Poor Satie, she deserve better this episode. I was actually not expecting pirates to be a threat of sorts in this type of show . But yeah, Ike had to step in and help her. He's the type that seems to always help his allies so not really surprising. I just wish they didn't make Satie look like such a vulnerable character this episode. |

| From getting to be known and being mistaken for Yuria, Satie is really in deep waters being kidnapped by the pirates, and even worse since the leader Carossa prefers maids than royalty to fulfill his maid fetish. Ike decides to go on his own, which Eltria lends him one of her premier ships of Vedeen to seek Satie out in open water. Being unknowing, Satie has to confine herself into her maid duties, while simultaneously thinking of a way to escape using the resources on the ship, like alcohol for oil, which slowly and subsequently set the entire ship on fire. Try as Satie might to escape, Ike came in time for the rescue, but the least expected being Carossa on the same level as Ike in terms of magic, a rare time that Ike was ever challenged against someone who could best his abilities. The pirate act proved Ike to Eltria for the peace treaty, which they sorely need to prep resources. And as customary for nobles, a celebratory party of formality of the marriage betrothal between Ike and Yuria, and an urgent summons from Dairokuten has him packing back to assist Cefiro in the ongoing war. Yeah...a typical damsel-in-distress save that's just alright. But partying while others fight, it's such a disparity. |

| Well done by Satie Ike can do his magic 100-fold Thank you Demon Lord for expediting the message to Ike, also gave him a valid reason to keep treaty and keep wedding on hold. Cefiro can't actually be trouble, I'm guessing she's holding back for 2 reasons: -because her own plan involves mass destruction which in itself is a failure to Ike -because this will get the Demon Lord to expedite her boy toy back 4/5, arranged/forced marriages suck. Ike is not a bad guy, and she obviously wants it, but he just doesn't care and has other priorities. I do think she should go live with him though, see if that changes her mind. |

| I thought that Eltria would've forgone the arranged wedding since Ike captured the pirate that had been a thorn to her city but that was not the case. At least the demon lord came in to stop the ceremony as Ike is needed elsewhere. Side note, Satie being resourceful was great to see although setting the ship on fire was risky but ended up being effective. |
| So Maou came to get Ike because Cefiro is in danger but with the army running out of food isn't the treaty completion overall more important right now? Ike needs to confirm his engagement so they can start sending supplies to the army. Real question I have is: if she was in such terrible danger and Maou came all the way to this other country to get Ike to help why wouldn't she just handle it herself? |

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |

This is getting better and better.
I loved that the Maid trusted her master to save him and that he kept his promise to her to protect her.
He captured the pirate causing them a lot of trouble, sealing the deal with them for the treaty.
But putting a marriage into the agreement without telling him first is not right and putting him on the spot like that was unbecoming.
It was awesome that the demon board showed up as she did and hid her presence to talk to him.

| @NTAD Hm... I was kind of distracted while watching episode 9, I'll go back and review. Thanks for letting me know. I read the title, but with the Demon Lord informing Ike about returning, it might just be a cliff hanger title. |

| Satie truly shined in her escape from the pirates, causing them a lot of trouble while confidently waiting for Ike to come to her rescue. Essentially, this "pirate arc" was more about developing the relationship between Satie and Ike. That said, I thought the capture of the pirate would lead to the cancellation of Ike's engagement to Yuria, but Eltria is well aware of the benefits that commitment would bring with Ike. Ike was fortunate that the dark lord intervened to call off the engagement; although, I don’t understand why she chose to warn him that Cefiro is in danger instead of going to help Cefiro herself. |

| Satie is so freaking cute man, she did well to hold off so long on that ship and setting it on fire was a good play. But I hated seeing her question whether or not Ike would come save her though! Of course a master never abandons his maid, especially one he’s been with for so long. Pirate dude messed up by taking her hostage of all people. So I’m glad the wedding stuff got interrupted, but if the demon lord could spare time to come to another country to get ike why couldn’t she go save Cedric herself? And isn’t getting supplies for the army super important too so they should’ve finished that up first lmao |

| The pirates part was good...but not a fan of that ending. Yuria is way too clingy that I both feel bad for her and creeped out by her. Not exactly the best character. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| This was one of the better episodes. Animation also looked better than usual. |

| Satie was insanely cute in that outfit, for better or worse. Glad the pirates didn't do any real damage to her. Man is betrothed now, or got out of it. I'd think the demon lord showing up to a human party would be fun to watch though 5/5 |

| Satie did a great job under those difficult circumstances. I hope Cefiro will be okay, she seems like a decent living being. Though I wonder why the demon lord herself just didn't go to her herself. She went all the way to Ike just so he can travel all the way over there. |

| TBH, I like the Pirate Boss's taste in maid outfit. Satie should wear that at all times. . Also, Ike's harem grows yet again... This time with a Satie dupe, lol Tho Ike's sorta forced into this one... (but gets interrupted by Maou, tho... why didn't Maou just go help Cefiro instead of flying to get Ike? huh?)
