| Just watched Your Name for the very first time, completely spoiler-free and my god... I was not expecting that, it was emotionally devastating. I put it on backlog for so long because I assumed it was a typical romance, but it was most definitely not that. Wish I'd gotten around to it much sooner now, easily one of my top favorites now. |

| I watched that movie twice and both times I thought it just reeked of its demographic; teens and couples. I was bored the whole way through. Same with Shinkai's other films, though Suzume no Tojimari was a pretty big step up. |

| I've watched it twice. First time I didn't like it, second time I absolutely loved it. It's a weird experience (most Shinkai films are the same in that sense), you need to be in a very particular mood to experience it properly. |

| Your Name. was the first anime film I saw in its entirety. It was a gateway film that only further encouraged me to check out more anime. My biggest regret is that I haven't seen the film in its full glory in a proper IMAX theater. While I did enjoy A Silent Voice, IMO it would have been better off as a TV series... if only to flesh out the side characters. |
