Hiya!!!!!!!
I’m SaiteiDaOrette. I’m a third-year university student studying Japanese! Welcome to my profile!!!!!
I didn’t really get into anime until about four years ago. Although I guess I did watch stuff like Doraemon when I was a toddler haha.
Please feel free to send a comment to me (although I may be a bit late responding). I accept all friend requests!
Thanks for visiting! I much appreciate it! \(^ω^)/
My favourite anime!
My top 3 favourite anime are Clannad, Evangelion, and Tatami Galaxy. The first two were so profound, it completely changed the way I looked at life (for the better). Tatami Galaxy, in addition to being hilarious, also helped me get through a rough patch when I started uni.
My favourite characters!
Shinji, of course, is number one! Chii is my favourite female character, and Tomoya Okazaki is #3!
More of my favourite characters!
(In no particular order)

Do take better care of yourself and your health.
In the mystery drama my life is murder, Lucy lawless took on a case set in a school with specialised sports programs.
Somehow your description of your school's troublesome tennis club members reminded me of that case.
Nick, Ricardo, Ben Simmons, giddey when will it stop? Hahaha
F1 tickets are far cheaper than grand slam tennis.
I also went to see the hawks in Wollongong, just to see Justin Tatum, Jayson Tatum's father.
Well I wish I could go see Jayson Tatum's game but it's the closest thing to Jayson Tatum.
This is beaucse I don't have to pay for hotel accommodation now that I've reconciled with relatives, I can stay with them in Melbourne for the race weekend.
Doctors appointment? Between June and October I had all sorts of tests done..
I'm very paranoid about illnesses so I keep getting regular health checks
So I've not eaten any junk food or restaurant food for an year and half and I've to exercise regularly.
I jog 5 to 10 km and play basketball. Just shooting practice and some dribbling.
Also go to the public gym so I can tell you that exercising can be fun activity.
I don't understand anything about NFL or American football.
Anime news network? I know one of news mods personally, Indian girl living here and her family runs a shop.
I regularly visit anime news network for the latest news as well as honey's anime but I don't have a profile.
I wish you would stay active here, I don't see a lot of the old regulars and the other day Deg posted that forum activity was at an all time low.

"At least you are being productive (wait, are you getting married?). I hope you can find some free time at some point."
-No, Not at all, I just attended my elder cousin's pre wedding ceremony and was doing all the lifting chores
"What are you planning to watch?"
-I'm planning to rewatch one of my favourite movie which i find as the most profound and prophetic movie "Network 1976", Will also probably watch some movies like Wanda, the wicker man, Rewatch The contact, Source code and Copycat etc. Btw have u watched it?
"Nothing seems to catch my eye nowadays. I don’t even feel like rewatching Hero haha."
-Same man Same I also got fatigue of consuming any piece of work that's why i just stick to yt for some dumb entertainment and philosophical enlightenment by watch "Max Derrat's" yt channel. He makes some really cool videos about video games, movies (Literally any piece of media) and the philosophical undertone behind those pieces of work. I love Hero, it was awesome in fact there are many awesome chinese movies out there, My personal favourite would be In the mood of love and Kung fu Hustle (absolutely hilarious and Goated movie)
But I heard David Lynch died the other day so maybe I was thinking of watching some of the movies I haven’t seen by him yet like Eraserhead, Wild at Heart, Lost Highway etc. I was wondering if you had ever seen any of those? (and if so, which one would you recommend).
-RIP David Lynch, he was actually my favourite director of all time.
Sorry for the late reply, bud
If i got to recommend from his catalogue i probably recommend u a short movie called "Early Experiments" it has a really haunting visuals and dark atmosphere, truly captures the essense of 70s and 80s Lynch movies and also try "Inland empire" cause it was absolutely great, I would always recommend it over Eraserhead, and lost Highway (Hot take: But i was utterly disappointed by both Eraserhead and Lost Highway)
I'd say Brisbane is pretty nice, I've been to Canberra and Sydney and I'd say I prefer brisbane over both of those. I still need to visit a lot of the other cities though like Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin, Hobart and Perth.
Have you always been in perth? or did you visit some other cities in Australia as well? Besides Perth being pretty far away I don't know much else about it lol
And yeah, I'm a dual citizen of the US/AU, had various periods of my life split between the two although the most recent one was last year I was living and travelling in the US with my [ex]fiance and only came back to Australia two months ago.
Was a very emotionally and physically abusive relationship though with a lot of lies, cheating and overall not with a stable or healthy person and we broke up on new years day and I'm still getting over it and there's a high chance I'm never going to be returning to the US again since I really dislike it there.
I much rather travel around Australia more or other countries ^^
My tier list would be:
1) Lain
2) Texnolyze
3) Ergo
Ahhh.. Haibane Renme. I have technically 'seen' the episodes but I didnt pay attention tbh lol, so I dont count it, I kinda played the episodes as background noise as I procastinated
Unfortunately getting into Slam Dunk is a nightmare. You can't find it even on legit sights anymore, its not on youtube either, even the manga can be hard to collect. Whatever way you get into Slam Dunk, it's all valid because you enjoy it and can financially support it after. I started buying the manga and financially supporting the series after I watched the anime
Yes 100% Slam Dunk refrences real life NBA, they even speak about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, before Slam Dunk, I literally had no idea who he was.
Shohoku is most likely based off the Chicago Bulls
Rukuwa is most likely based off of Michael Jordan
Also, if you choose the anime route (awesome choice, the manga is obviously better, but the anime has a devoted following because of its nostalgic vibe, the anime does everything episode 27 did MUCHHHH better. I balled my eyes out crying, many times, I just dont get the same feeling reading the manga) bruh i forgot i was doing a bracket lmao, but if you choose the anime route, then after episode 96, for some reason the anime goes the 'anime original route' and suddenly changes from the manga and then just ends in the middle of an arc
You'd have to start reading from Volume 23 till volume 31. But worry not, because the manga is VERY fast to read, and thats coming from someone that hates reading books and is very slow at it...
but slam dunk is an exception, its one of the only manga i actually like to read, so dont be put off by that
ofc you could just start from the manga so that you wont have to change mediums but i feel like you'll miss out on the charm of the anime
How's Perth? I'm on the complete opposite side in Brisbane lol
