It's Christmas time!

Pin being the goat as usual. Saying he wont go but we all know that in the end he'll show up. He's Pin after all. Pin aside, Miura isn't holding back when it comes to Ayane. She was really considering it until the Kento girls showed up lol. Then we got Kazehaya... I think this is the first time where I feel like he's being like an idiot. He's just being being foolish. Even if you're scared of losing control, pushing her away isn't the answer ya idiot.

Small ass world this is though where Kazehaya sees not only Sawako's dad, but also Miura in one night... what a nightmare for dude lol. Miura's really having some good development this season so far. He's actually be tolerable to watch this season. When it comes to him and Ayane, ig Ayane hasn't truly experienced love before. All the guys she dated were just playing with her, so she doesn’t really know what it feels like to be loved. I feel like Miura might just be the one for her tbh. Never thought the words that someone would be the one for Miura would come out my mouth. Ayane just suffers from self-loathing herself and being envious of others.

Ayane aside, who would've expected that Sawako would be such a great singer xD Speaking of her, poor girl was STRESSING when it came to the gift exchange. I just love how this dude Ryuu says whatever is on his mind and what he wants lol. Under that straight face of his is a just a genuinely nice guy. Ayane is just like me fr, THEY ARE MADE FOR EACH OTHER.

And ofc, to no one's surprise, Pin showed up to the party in the end lol. As much as a joke he seems to be, he truly does clutch up and saves everything everytime. He gives everyone that push to keep going and push forward everytime. Thank you Pin-sensei for guiding these hopeless kids. Pin aside though, HELL YEAH MIURA!!!!! That one punch easily made him the best character of the season for me already. Actually nvm, Pin came in clutch AGAIN and saved these kids from getting kicked out lol. They can share the best character spot together.

Well at least for this episode though, Miura can take the cake for MVP because... HE DID IT!!! HE FUCKING CONFESSED!!! HELL YEAH!!!!

This Ayane arc got me in tears multiple times man I love her so much she’s best girl. Thank God Kento knocked the fuck out of that loser Mogi and Ayane got a proper apology as a result. I couldn’t stand looking at his smug face anymore.

I actually thought the show won't include the emotions of girls like Ayane because of the other animes I watched. The way she behaves made me think that she is just a side character. But then, Miura came and punched Mogi just like a hero damnn that was cool :D I'm hope the show continues and ends happily

Kento's MVP of the episode with that confession. Also nice punch. Honestly wished he hit him some more. Mogi needed some more teaching to understand the sin he committed by hurting a great girl like Yano. Mogi didn't deserve the experience of dating such a great girl like Yano. Kento this episode is on the level of Ryu's chadness.

We also got some uncommon Kazehaya Ls this episode with the common Ryu Ws. Ryu still my favorite male character but Kento definitely top 3/5 male characters.

You know a moment is good when it makes you cry. I cried kinda weirdly though this time. Only one eye for some reason.

Loving Kento. He punched the heck out of Mogi. He deserved more to be honest. That confession at the end was just perfect.

Now, Shota needs to do it right. Don't make Sawako worry.

(Just from what i think was from this episode as i had finished this a few days ago) Was id say the best episode of the entire season, you essentially had immediate tension betweeen all three potential couples for each ayane, chi and sawako. The ep built up really well to finally allowing us to see ayane happy and also created those tense yet comforting scenes between ryu and chi which the audience has been dying to see be animated for the past few years. The only "issues" would be that of course due to misunderstandings between kazehaya and sawako, that there was pretty much no on screen chemistry between them especially at the party, but of course the plot would be too optimistic if there were zero misunderstanding between the two. I also enjoyed kentos redemption and this episode alone sold me that kento is a likeable character, which is a massive contrast to the previous impression left on me which was that he was annoying and nosey. Furthermore, it was also heartwarming to see Ayane comfortably cry to Kento without overthinking it, another amazingly animated moment.

Sawako's dad still flexing with that hat and he was way too happy upon getting the news. Kazehaya made his entire day, lmao.

Kento stood on business this episode and he put everything in his confession. Good man.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Kazehaya really messed up with his behavior, trying too hard to be perfect for Sawako when she doesn't care about that.

Regardless, the development of the other couples was beautiful. Chizu seems to be feeling something for Ryuu or at least is confused about her feelings. Kento's confession to Ayane was touching; I hope they end up together. Ayane needs to love herself more, and Kento understands that perfectly.

PS: Pin is always saving the day. He might be many things, but he's a great teacher when it comes to giving his students a push and understanding them perfectly.

I finished this episode crying for all the mooments there and hating Kazehaya. Ryu is a good character, Kento, all of the main characters evolving so good... but the mains again don't.

The ending saved the episode, but the rest was a little bit of meh with how it slipped into the "2nd season rails" with all this misunderstanding, awkward silence and staring contests between Kazehaya and Sawako. And i was talking to myself how they improved all the characters, their emotions and interactions...

Ryu is so smooth! It seems that him and Chizuru are going to date now.

Sawako's dad is so petty! 😂 Bragging about his hat and being happy that Sawako won't spend Christmas with Kazehaya! LMFAO!

I'm glad Miura punched Mogi. Mogi deserved that. I'm also happy that Miura confessed.

Ahh, the moment when Ayane and Chizuru finally get some big progress with Kento and Ryu, love it! Eager to see how well the anime will handle the climax next episode. This was always one of my favorite parts of the manga.
Not to mention that Pin is starting to really show how good of a teacher he is and that he isn't just a comic relief character.
Now for Kazehaya to get his head out of his ass, and all will be well!
This season does not disappoint!

Ayane and Miura saved this episode and turned it into peak. The side cast love story is actually more interesting than the main cast not gonna lie. Phin also clutched-up and doesn’t try to fuck-up the situation again, I hope he actually gets his “Christmas Present” by actually being a good teacher this time.

Let’s see how the last episode will change my perspective against Sawako and Shota.

@Unoriginality Totally agree. The thing I've enjoyed the most about the new season is the character development for Ayane and Chizuru, while the problems going on with Sawako and Shouta this whole season are entirely their own making (almost entirely driven by Shouta). The scene with Sawako finally understanding Ayane's own self-doubt and low self-esteem and her reaction to it was really moving. Kento's stepping up-to-the-plate and standing up for Ayane and his confession finally breaking through her walls of self-defense were really excellent as well. It just raised the whole Season 3 above Seasons 1 and 2 for me.

@JADCFamlit11 100% agree.
I thought the dialogue especially was interesting, varied, meaningful and nuanced, with few 'filler like' scenes, lots of things happening. I was invested deeply almost the whole 70+ minutes, the long episodes also work so much better, was a great decision imho.
Yes, the issues between the main characters is a bit annoying right now, but I fully suspect it is a setup for their resolution for the next/last episode
