They deserve this celebration and break. After all that hard work and with the Winter Season...yeah.

Honestly, hard work pays off and it was a team effort. I'm just glad everything works out so well. Konoha and her teammates are like a little family together.

Well Mamoru growing older by 2023 is obvious the time difference is more than 23 years after all compared to the last time she saw him.
Still that everything around them would change was obvious Konoha was making drastic changes in the past after all the question now is what will Mamoru tell Konoha and can her changes be reversed.

Alcohol Soft is booming in late 1999 with their latest title The Last Waltz, which fulfills Konoha's wish of creating a game with the game company of her dreams, and everyone having a big break with all of the promotion and woo-ha that'll save their company from debt. Just as snow falls and the Dejiro Building lights up with their Bishoujo game, Toya wants to create a company of her own, which recruiting Konoha would make her dreams come true, but timing is not on her side since her time travel has a limit. Maybe in the future perhaps...?

Mamoru going and coming back into time and realizing that he can time travel just like Konoha, she has only 1 more game left. And Mamoru realizing that the revitalized Alcohol Soft will survive thanks to Konoha, her suddenly fading back into 2023 and deciding it's time to stop here...suddenly, the outside world doesn't feel like Akibahara anymore, and her meeting Mamoru in the exact same year...what gives?

Konoha's made a drastic change in 1999, so what's Mamoru doing making the same in 2023?

I did feel like the game development went by a bit too quickly, but great for them on finishing it. Alcohol Soft should thrive now... right?

Konoha is back to 2023, and I wonder why the change in how Akihabara looks was so drastic. What did their game change in the past? I have no idea where we go from here, but it'll be interesting the rest of the way for sure.

So this is the world where PC-98 conquer, and since PC-98 is produced by Japanese company, that would put Japan into a superpower country (more than it already has).

Funny as it may sound Meiko getting stalkers is rather scary. Just looking at the stats the amount of content in their game is impressive. The last waltz is a pretty fitting name. The celebration party was damm fun but they really deserved it after all their hard work. Back then the stigma that Meiko felt was an unfortunate truth of working on those games and contributed to the desire to create all ages version of said games. Echosoft sure is looking more and more dodgy. The end though was quite the twist.

The shop clerk references the infamous Saori incident which you can read about here . This changed the course of Bishoujo history. I love the little tidbits to real life otaku culture they give us in this show, really feels like a love letter to the whole culture.

So Konoha’s descent into the multiverse of madness continues. We’re now in an alternate timeline where Akiba is no longer the akihabara we know and love because of all the changes Konoha made in the past. No shock there, knew there had to be some type of repercussions. Will be interesting to see exactly what happened! The Mamoru we see in the end of the episode looks so over life. Just tired and worn out. If the game was successful, how could that happen..

We went from such an emotional high of alcohol soft completing the game, Konaha and Meiko bonding, Mamoru with his usual tsundere act but secretly happy on the inside to be praised, etc to that ending! Talk about big shift, can’t wait for next episode

This show increasingly leaves me with more questions than answers. I didn't expect to see someone from Alcohol Soft from the future so soon in this chapter. The akihabara on the alternate line looks very... 90s.

20:52 I can guess what happened here. She set the standards of eroge too damn high for that time. Now that she’s gone, nobody else can match up to it so in the end, the whole industry just dies. It would have been ridiculous from a business perspective to imitate what knowledge she brought from the future.
On another note, Mamoru became a bigtime for imitating the future technology of multi core computing. He probably owns Akiba now lmao. He also probably developed PC-98 with ungodly effort using the money he earned from tech breakthrough.

Best!😍😍

It really takes me back.
We even get to see Radio Keikan again.
I'm really excited to see how this whole thing continues. I like time travel stories and alternative futures and am now wondering whether Konoha will travel back in time to undo her changes - which would also mean that she possibility would have to delete her experiences with Alhocol Software.

From what I remember, Mamoru was 15 years old in 1992. So he should be 46 now. Might fit.

I'm curious to see whether we'll see Kaoi, Meiko and the others in the present.

I’m gonna just pretend the last episode never happened. This episode was actually pretty decent.

I still would prefer the show if it never had time travelling but I guess that’s kinda the whole plot of the show.

I’m guessing she’s traveled quite a bit into the future now.

Nice. xD

Anyone else think the music around 2:00 sounds a lot like Pokemon?

Also, "The Last Waltz" reminds me of some story I read about "Final Fantasy". I think it's a popular myth that the name "Final Fantasy" aludes to it being Square's last chance to make a good video game as it faced financial trouble. Supposedly the truth is that it was just like that for one of the lead creators - his last attempt to make a hit video game, and he'd go back to university if it wasn't successful.

This doesn't seem correct, or Mamoru is just mistaken. There would have been 5 games left at that point, only one of which has yet to be released:
1. Angels of the Afternoon (1985/06/??, JAST)* (white case) [consumed by Mamoru]
2. Dokyuusei 2 (1995/01/31, elf) (black case) [burned, disappeared?]
3. Kakyuusei (1996/06/07, elf) (box) [burned, disappeared?]
4. Comic Party (1999/05/28, Leaf) (box) [last one remaining?]
5. Sengoku Rance (2006/12/15, Alice Soft) (box) [burned, disappeared?]

How curious, that Konoha is left with just Comic Party, which would send her to about a week before Kanon. A pretty good time from which to erase The Last Waltz from history, if there was some reason to. Still, some of Konoha's eroge library was already missing before she made The Last Waltz.
As for Sengoku Rance burning, maybe that symbolizes the course of events leading to its creation being erased from history.

Also, wonder where Echo 2 went. She was in the donut cafe before Konoha used Kanon.

It must feel pretty exciting to have something you made get nice public advertising.

Uh oh Konoha messed up changing the past too much. She now oversaturated the market so people got sick of bishoujjo games lol Or actually it seems like Mamoru used the knowledge of future computer chips with multi cores to advance technology at an earlier point in history.

Lets change the past, surely the future won't change copium. The future changes completely, surprised pikachu face. Lmfao looks the anime, manga boom didn't happen, what a shitty world it would be. Konoha and Mamoru finally meet in the present. Btw I wonder if Toya is Konoha's mother? They look quite similar.

Well, what had to happen happened, everything was screwed.

Konoha modified the past and changed the future, what surprises me is that Mamoru has maintained so much in 20 years, the Asian genes are noticeable xd

On the other hand, now I am more than intrigued to see how this problem will be solved, in theory there is only one game left to be able to travel in time ._.

Mamoru caring for Konoha under all that cold exterior was adorable – the way she just disappeared once he looked away kind of hit me in the feels. The Radio Kaikan building getting hit by the wrecking ball reminded me of the satellite crash in Steins;Gate. It's a cool parallel!

I'm back to being invested in this series after last week's chaos. I get how Echosoft and Mamoru time leaping is relevant to the plot, but the exposition could've still been handled better instead of just sticking it somewhere like random filler.

I don't know, after watching it, there's a feeling of discomfort. But it's not entirely Konoha's fault either because the root cause is creating their own game at Alcohol Soft. Echo Soft might also have their own agenda. We're actually lacking points to predict what will happen next.

What just happened? Everything has been altered, this is probably due to Konoha messing with Alcohol Soft and her relationship with Yamada Touya, but I never thought that the effects of meddling with the past could be so drastic. I wonder where we will go from this point.

You could feel Mamoru-kun's frustration and sadness as Konoha vanished. It was the first time we saw him blush in the entire show, He totally fell for her lol. He was trying to keep a distance knowing she'd disappear into the future but he couldn't stop himself from becoming emotionally attached.

Konoha had already been warned against meddling with the past too much so it's not too surprising Akiba is basically gone, releasing a game made using ideas and tech from 20 years in the future (like Live2D) would cause such a seismic shift in the expectations of videogames that all but the largest (i.e. richest) developers wouldn't be able to adapt and survive, indies would be utterly wiped out. Alcohol Soft probably ended up raking in billions and gobbled up swathes of the industry faster than Embracer Group and Microsoft put together.

Given that Comic Party came out in early 1999 it seems pretty likely Konoha is going to end up returning to undo working on The Last Waltz and save Alcohol Soft some other way.

Finally Konoha's meddles in the past significantly alters her current "present". Now it's either she's gonna try to undo her work on The Last Waltz or produce something different entirely.

Perhaps joining Touya's new company back then as a rival to Alcohol Soft so they won't have a monopoly on the bishoujo genre perhaps?

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.
