| Well, this was pretty much what I expected from novelist Haruki Kuou's rom-com LN, which has seen quite the popularity in Japan. And this is about as close as we can get to No Game, No Life Season 2, with a mix of that and You-Zitsu a.k.a Classroom of the Elite vibes. May'n is back with a banger song, it's been a long while. Hiroto Shinohara's start as a transfer student, he's the bedazzled Seven Star who's all fit and finish for a façade in this Academy Island, supported by the Saionji Corporation for everyone who's vying to reach the Seven Star position, but that he did not want to be one. That all changed when he met a pretty girl and asking for directions to Eimei Academy, though he skips the tutorial stages and has her teach him the basics from the top. But to get a rough water sprinkle on her, it's a coincidence to Hiroto, but to the girl it's not, which she challenges him to a game, of which it must come from the lower-ranked player, rules attached also. Thinking that it's all a mocking game, she initiates the staring contest with Hiroto on a turn-based approach, though he's fine with anything, abilities or not. The game starts, and people are watching Hitoto and Sarasa Saionji's match, though the water sprinkler does its magic again to get her all wet again. With this, the Star ownership is passed onto him. The headmistress of Natsume Ichinose warranting an audience with Hiroto, she practically reveals that who Hiroto defeated was the founder of Saionji Corporation's daughter and the undefeated Empress of Ouka Academy. As much as chief director Masamune will not sully the embarrassment, Hiroto earned a Red Unique Star from Sarasa, which is able to tell lies. To become a fake Seven Star, that's the game that Hiroto is supposed to follow, and since he's here to find someone, fate and coincidence had it for Hiroto to land in this position...which is where he is now in Eimei Academy. Sarasa suddenly dragging Hiroto to one side, it's because of her secret that she's not the real Sarasa Saionji, but the lowly double of Rina Akabane. The thing is, Hiroto really DID come in as a newbie, not knowing all of these stuff and that's the lie that he's going to play with on Academy Island. It's truly karma for Rina, though everything was at the hands of Headmistress Ichinose. With the entrance to the dorms and a pretty maid awaiting him, Hiroto's life starts from zero to fake hero. Ah yeap, as good as I remember reading the LNs for. Gonna be a good ride. |

| Ah hell yeah this is the shit! While we wait for No Game, No Life 2nd Season we now have a worth contender Liar Liar! This episode sets up our world and it's main are, the Academy Island, where everything is settled through "Games" waged for a certain number of stars, with the strongest student being granted the ranking of Seven Stars. Our main protagonist Hiroto, a transfer student, unexpectedly beats the strongest empress Saionji and becomes the strongest in the school! Except.. he really didn't. The truth is, he screwed up big time, and now he must maintain his position at the Academy no matter what. This a liar's world, after all! The characters interest me that includes our main protagonist Hiroto that I will definitely be waiting to see how he continues to hide this lie, and our other main protagonist Saionji also peaks my intrest to see how she adapts to no longer being the best. -her thighs are for some reason drawn so hot-. Visually, Liar Liar boasts stylish and atmospheric animation that complements the story. The character designs are distinct and well-crafted, conveying the characters' emotions effectively. The use of lighting, color, and cinematography further enhances the mood, creating an immersive and unsettling atmosphere. I'm surprised considering this is Geek Toys we're talking about but they did do a good job on Date a Live IV. In conclusion, this episode delivers a strong and promising beginning to a psychological strategy thriller anime. With its intriguing premise, well-crafted characters, stylish visuals, and suspenseful storytelling, it paves the way for an engaging and thought-provoking series. Us No Game, No Life fans will definitely be enjoying this one, I most definitely a anime worth exploring. |

| Welcome to Academy Island which has a shape like the city of Paris. Finally, I can watch this series animated. With the animation, in my opinion, it can help us to understand more about the rules and the abilities in this series. Because both of them are quite hard to depict with just only texts from the light novel. |

| That was an amusing first episode. Excited to see more of the abilities they can use and how they will apply it in certain situations, the rules and setup of the games will hopefully make for fun entertaining games. |
| Ah so it's finally here, as a light novel reader I'm really excited for this adaptation. And there are some differences already, in the light novel, it was a truck that ran over a puddle that got Saionji wet, but in the anime they decided to go for sprinklers...?? This series is really similar to Classroom of the Elite in some ways. The students live in a special island with an academy for elite students, and this academy was set up by the government to create these elite members of society, and they have to compete against each other so they can rise in the ranks, and the classes are separated by merit. |

| That was actually way more amusing than I thought it was going to be. Instead of being something like No Game, No Life, it's more like Classroom of the Elite in a way, but in a more comedic sense. A world of games, where people play against each other to gain stars and status, but some accidents and luck got Hiroto into the school as a seven star. This just feels like pure fun, and I'm in for it. |

| Man, I really hate trash anime like this where the oblivious male MC is treated like trash by the typical tsundere and assumption jumping female MC among other female characters. It also feels like it's trying to ride on No Game, No Life's coattails, but it definitely isn't up to par. |

| Not going to lie that last minute twist was hilarious. When you really think it's like the busty headmaster/principal or whatever set the dude up lol. I mean red-hair was never the real deal to begin with, she too just like dude was under the protection of red star. Though hey now they both know each other's truth. Wonder where we'll go from here on. Not a bad start but knowing how horribly majority of these psychologically themed mind games show fail, I'm keeping my expectations low. |

| WOW I didn't expect this (reminds me No game no Life to be fair) Lies and more lies everywhere So this anime remembers me the concept from 2008-2014 animes where you're in an island full of interesting people and you have to be in the top of all BUT the difference among those anime and this is that in Liar Liar the MC is not the big thing and ANOTHER LIL DETAIL IS he's lying hard The MC somehow reminds me Kaiji... I'm scared of him if he loses |

| Premises reminds me of No Game No Life Except the MC is trying to "Lie" his way to the top. So a fake "No Game No Life" (from his "intro") . Looks quite interesting, I want to see exactly how he's going to "lie" to win... hmm... does this mean he's technically "cheating" the entire way? Also, the way they talk about the "device" at the beginning felt like a literal explanation of a game's tutorial... feels like if they actually made a game out of this series, they'll just use this "device". (as the MC has literal no idea how everything works, LOL... and the girl has to explain everything) . And not only the MC lies, but the girl is also lying as she a "double". Tho... interesting dorm... it comes with a cute maid huh. |

| Yo I like that principal, can we have her as the main heroine instead of the usual red hair tsundere? That was alright I guess, seems like a typical "magic school battle harem" but with a King type mc and mind game instead, making it quite a rare premise, it's not that well written but at least quite funny. |

| She went full Karen mode because of a sprinkler. Hoping the next games they play are more interesting because whatever this was wasn't. The opening has a really nice beat during the title drop but can't say I care much for the singing, no offense to the singer. |
