| What a fun & lighthearted episode this was. It's just Ash & Misty battling over a Pokémon, and to my shock, Misty won the battle. Yep... CHAMPION OF ALOLA, CURRENT REIGIN MONARCH, WORLD CHAMPION, LOST. Just be thankful it isn't an official battle. I like the approach in this series. It's pure SOL with Ash meeting up with old friends and doing things they wanna do, while also seeing team rotations at the same time. It makes this series fun. Anyhow, with Misty's return, she will be traveling with Ash for the remains of these episodes. And hopefully next week, maybe Brock and Cilan too? Latias is also following along, so we'll most likely see her at the end of the arc. (Maybe even be caught by Ash too. Who knows?) Look forward to the next! |

| Way better than the previous one. Did anybody else notice they reused OSTs from the original series here? Helped a lot with the nostalgic feeling of the episode. |
| They actually brought back the chemistry between Ash and Misty from the original season (Savage Ash VS Mocking Misty), and they did it with some very nostalgic music. This made for a fun ride for me like I rarely felt throughout Journeys. Ash is even much more expressive here. Pokemon interactions were also on point bringing new bondings like motherly (EDIT: fatherly* forgot its male) Leavanny x Rowlet and featuring each personality well (I think I just needed a bit more of Rowlet since he used to steal the scene very often back in Sun & Moon, and of course more Toto-toto-totodile). I hope they keep that heart alive until the last episode. |

| Okay before I go into what this episode gave us which will lead to future episodes let's discuss overall. So good! A majority of the posts in here have already summed up a lot of the positives in this episode. 1. The classic connection between Satoshi and Kasumi's dynamic. 2. THE OLD SCHOOL OST!!!! 3. Actually battling to see who would catch a pokemon. It was nice to see Ash actually lose because it still shows he has room for development and I love that. It was an unexpected outcome imo. Takeshi about to fall in love with a Hatterene next week...yeah like these writers don't know what they are doing LMAO. Good use of Hatterene's Pokedex entry though. Glad to see Misty traveling with him which sets up some predictions for how future episodes will pan out: 1. All of his old travel companions will join him on his farewell tour. Which also means...all the Female rivals get to meet...looking forward to that possibility. 2. If he would have caught Udeppou I think they would have had multiple episode where he caught new pokemon but they didn't. Which leads me to believe in the final episode he WILL CATCH LATIAS AND I AM IN FOR THAT!!!! |

| Oh shit, I didn't realize they were bringing the original trio back together! Had a huge grin when Misty decided to journey with Ash again. I was just thinking mid episode, wouldn't it be great if we a spin off with Ash and Misty traveling together again. Their chemistry is second to none, fun banter. |
| They need to stop bullying Psyduck like that. It's good that Leavanny's motherly aura was there for everyone. Anyways, so glad to see OG brat girl back and with her, sassy Ash as well, who has unironically more personality than the entirety of Journeys Ash. Good thing she's now traveling with Ash. She's also officially the world champ now. Love how Clauncher went back to train Ash's Pokemon and developed a strong bromance with Corphish despite being Mistu's Pokemon; she basically got NTR'd, in a way. Also, Ash absolutely knew what he was doing when he whipped out the Cilan lure, rubbing it in Misty's face. Lastly, Latias is officially a stalker now so let's see where that one goes. |

| This episode proved why Ash winning the World Champ title was so pointless. If he can still lose to someone like Misty then it makes the whole title meaningless and honestly it feels like the past 3 years of him climbing up the PTW ladder were just a waste of time. And don't give me the "but Corphish was weak" excuse. He showed he could hold his own against above average opponents in AG. But even if you believe he was nerfed, it still doesn't change the fact that the supposed #1 trainer in the world lost to a mere Gym Leader. |

| the different expressions of ash and misty & the pokemon' were lol seems corphish was slacking training back in oak lab that scene was so dumb, when clauncher caught on TR bait, he could have released it, whatever clauncher starting the training and ash&co joinin in was so in character hehe so misty tags in along with ash and its totally for corphish, dont misunderstand got it next week brock and cilan are back the post credits had miraidon and the word play on mirai/future was understood, thanks to anime meet ya all next week peace ☮️🕊️ |

 Ash using a different team this episode this time using 2 water types (i guess he wanted them to see the sea) + 1 bug and 1 grass/flying ... just like last episode, it seems Ash only has 5 pokemons with him (?) Pikachu is good at fishing haha a crab came out and easily sent Pikachu flying lols Corfish wants to see who is the superior crab but lost at claw arm-fight well we knew Misty was coming soon, since we saw the preview, but wtf i didn't know^/remember her having such a cute fish bait thing, where can i get one of those? Pikachu ignoring Psyduck lmao at least the bug girl pet him Misty contratulating Ash forhis win at the championship is obviously nice, and ofc she got motivated to go on a journey, after quite some time in the gym WHAT THE HELL LOL she for sure had fun fishing that crab a hundred times and getting water gunned to the face on all of them hahahahaha 6:35 Ash's face when he heard the story of her fateful encounters :D Ash will be using the lure that Cylan gave him, apparently it catches more than the one that Misty gave him LOL she wasn't happy to hear that after a long time waiting (Ash almost fell asleep), Misty finally fished the crab, but as usual, she lost to him and went underwater haha Ash laughing his ass off, these 2 love to tease each other, it's been forever (like 15 years maybe) since the last time i saw it tho................. meh team rocket, go away, no one cares about you, stop wasting screen time, fml interesting that udepou's arm always grows back now it's Ash's turn to go to the water after losing his fight, Misty had to at least throw a creepy smile back lols 11:40 HAHAHAHA the anime put Corfish picture (and name) correctly but the translators called him udepou, i'm dead HAHAHAHA interesting that udepou wants to see a battle, that's kinda random meh teamrocket, go away already geez, they are even more annoying today with their hungry voices lmao tag team of 2 crabs too strong for teamrocket lols anyway back to the battle, it's time to watch and learn from the "world class beauty, tomboyish mermaid" LOL she said it out loud, really? her pokemon will be Politoed, aka Nyorotono (Nagatoro?) fun battle, i thought for sure corfish would win with that hammer but he got caught midair lol Udepou promised to get caught by the winner and he honored his promise i was thinking earlier, Ash could give his Corfish away to Misty, so Udepou could be with both his fate partners lol oh well, at least they had fun practicing a new move, meanwhile misty feeling Psyducks headache :D Latias stalking as usual :D Misty using the crab's friendship as an excuse to be with Ash for a little longer was cute to, what a tsundere hahaha oh was that a reference to that episode in the 1st season when Ash and Misty went away from each other and Pikachu didnt know who to choose? this time he quickly decided to stay with Misty, so Ash had no choice haha next episode, Brock with his heart broken as usual, as well as detective Cylan (now summelier) holy shit, i was thinking about it a few days ago while playing pokemongo, but Steelix has to be one of the scariest pokemons, wtf Miraidon wa mirai-poi ... LOLOLOL |

| I love seeing Misty back and the old Pokemon so far. Also the battle between Politoed and Corphish was really well done and it is nice to see Misty get a win after losing that often. What I didn't like is Totodile just being there. Leavanny and Rowlet were full of personality. Totodile didn't even do the iconic dance. This boy really deserves to evolve. I think they kept him unevolved because the "iconic dance" but when was the last time it did that? Does anyone even care at all? Btw, Misty acts a bit more cutesy around Ash for some reason. She normally is berating him and they have a lot of slap stick humor. I don't mind that unless we get the repetitive Brock jokes with someone punishing him for wanting a date with someone. |

| Super amazing episode this time around. The true return of Misty at last, no longer a single episode character as she was in Sun and Moon and Journeys. Also enjoyed having it focus on Corphish again after so long and seeing the new bond/rivalry between it and the newly introduced Clauncher. Seems like Latias is definitely going to play an important role later in this series. Next episode preview was really hype. Finally Brock will be back and Cilan too. The Team Rocket Paldea discovery returned this week which at least is giving a little interaction between the new Pokemon and the established characters before the new series makes that potentially impossible. |

| Such an awesome episode. The gang members are coming back together, the question now is whether all of Ash's companions travel together? So many osts from multiple generations got played on the episode too. Corphish losing the battle was bullshit though but this led to the Clauncher's training scene so it wasn't just for nothing I guess. |

| I know it's been a thing for a while, but what's up with Misty's "my steady" line? Like, it sounds weird. Calling someone/something your "steady" feels like you took a random word and just used it as a term of endearment, unless there's some other meaning that I'm unaware of. |
